Hi Mukonki.... Kindly assist me in understanding the new Notice from Bank of Zambia which states that with effect from January 2024, GRZ bonds will be issued at par in the primary market. Thanks in anticipation
Thank you for this educative information. Very insightful 😊. I have a question for you madam, is it a best idea to get a loan from financial institutions and invest it in government bonds.
Thank you so much for the information,I would like to invest k100,000 for a 2 years teenier as a start up, how much will be my interest at maturity and my coupon rate annually
I have a problem with the calling ba know the Bond by bank of zambia when the bond becomes expensive on their part. I find the calling back of the bond by Bank of Zambia as unfair. Why? When the bank agreed and entered into a contract to issue a 15 year bond, both you and the bank took a guess and risk. If this risk is against you, you lose and if the risk is in your favor, the bank should not call it back simply because it has become Expensive. That is part of the risk loss they have to pay just as you too would pay if it was against you. Bank of Zambia should revisit this policy as it borders on being unfair and unethical.
