Had to come back and watch again! OLD age and forgetfulness. I have so many ready to string. lol, Enjoy your videos on the Journals. Love the front of the first one you showed on here. x0x Jonnie
WOW!! I've been looking high and low for a clear and precise tutorial on how to string this journal. I found yours by doing a search and so happy I did. After watching I know I can do this!! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! ~ Barb
AliZai this is a great tutorial- so glad I watched :-) Definitely going to *borrow* your latch on the elastic idea plus that cute little charm at the end :-) Thanks so much for sharing the Journal die love
Hi just would like to say thank you plus I laughed out when you said you did not need more paper as you haven't got the room I can so relate for me if I buy -bring in- something must leave, it has helped.........a little lol thanks for showing the elastic binding method for this die as I would be like HUH, what the, where do I, theres too many holes, how do I. lol
Wonderful tutorial very clear and concise!! One question though how do you do the spine I understand the is 2 pieces but how did you do it that i don't see a seam is it possible that you can do a tutorial on that right from the begining? New subbie and a definite thumbs in my books..
I'm really amazed you made this out of paper & chipboard! Wow! I have to ask- how do you prevent the paper from warping or getting a line you don't want to show? Also, do you score the spine before or after applying the paper on each side? This is mind blowing! I don't think people are even aware they don't need to spend a fortune on buying a leather one that (unless they know leather extremely well), you just don't know how thin/thick, textured/smooth, etc. you will wind up with! I'm going to watch the video you linked!! So happy I caught this on this beautiful, rainy day off!! Thank you!
Oooh ...gorgeous colors and I love the Tropical theme!! Those are also really cute little notebooks you put in. Thank you so much for the great instructions on how to string it!!! You're a doll...I've been having problems til now!!! lol Oh yea...PS You said that was card stock for the cover, tight?? How did you get it so hard...firm...stiff. ...whatever is the right word. lol That sounded funny...I got a kick outta that!!! hehe It seems like even using back to back cardstock it would not be that strong?? I'm so confused.. Thanks again!!! ;) And the Traveler you made for yourself is absolutely gorgeous!!! You do beautiful work. ;)
THANK YOU!!!!!! It is clear to me now :) Beautiful journal Chandi...... Do you cover the base before or after adhering it together? I honestly couldn't detect any seams!
Great video TFS!! Just so I am clear, did you adhere patterned card stock to both sides of chipboard or is the card stock adhered back to back with another piece of card stock without chipboard in the middle? It looks like the latter because I can’t see any chipboard and I would think that would make the TN too rigid. Thanks for the clarification. I just ordered the die!!
I love the colors on this one!! What kind of adhesive do you use to put the paper to the chipboard? if I can ever figure out what's wrong with my email, I might order some!!!😀😀😀 thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the clear concise instructions. Just got my die today and can't wait to give it a go. Tfs
Good Lord, thanks, Chandi, I finally got to play with my die and this was a tremendous help. You are awesome as always.

I will definitely try. I inked the edges and cut the paper to match. I'm redoing my craftroom and will try and find the die to show you.
Thank you! So cool, I want to make my first one soon! This is so helpful! xxx

MelissaC613 The die comes already scored when everything is cut out. I like to use a strong gluestick or atg tape for my adhesive.

Really pretty. Great Tutorial.
Hello thanks for this tutorial. What size do you prefer your elastic cord 1mm or 2 mm ?
Glue Paper Scissors I don't have a preference exactly but I do like the 2mm. I mainly use whatever I have on hand. Thanks so much for watching
Great tutorial. Thanks. Connie
+Connie Inman you're welcome!
Thank you, very helpful. Hugs!
THANK YOU!!!!!! It is clear to me now :) Beautiful journal Chandi...... Do you cover the base before or after adhering it together? I honestly couldn't detect any seams!
Holly Miller Mine are covered before I string and attach them together.
Gotcha! Would you know what size inserts I should be searching for on Etsy? I tried but it was sooo confusing!
+Holly Miller they are around 8.25"x 4.33"
+Holly Miller Look for Standard size inserts for the midori
Super Thank You So Much xxx

Are you using elastic cord or a waxed linen?
+Debbie Musick Elastic
Wow! Amazing!!! 😍🏠❤
I love the colors on this one!!

Becky Halfhill Hi I like to use a good strong gluestick to lay my paper down.
Thank you :)
Super cute thanks
hi...can this journal die fit through the cuttlebug...
Sheila Moore I used my Cuttlebug to cut it. You will need the extended plates.
ok...thanks...will look into this
what machine can I use with this die Chandi?
+I💟crafting you can use any of your regular machines but you will need the extended plates. I use my Big Shot Plus.
AliZai Crafts thanks, I have the cuttlebug, and a big shot still brand new in the box I bought 7 yrs ago....Lol!!!
very cute
