To everyone defending this product in the comments, from Clinique's own website: "Please note this is not a universal tint for all skin tones" "We do not recommend this tint for very fair or very deep skin tones." Lol if it worked for you congrats, but stop pretending this is for everyone.
@@christyambrown lol at people trying to say it actually adjusts to your skin tone or just needs to be warmed up. Nope. It chemically changes color when rubbed into skin because skin is a bit acidic, but the color only changes from the original white to the one color each shade is formulated to change into. Different faces are slightly different pH levels so there might be a smidgen of difference in shade, like it might not fully change color if your pH is not the optimum pH. Just like the color changing lipsticks.
Well it doesn't have full coverage. It is just bb cream. Bb creams are usually just light coverage for people who want a color corrector but also want their face to be able to breathe (if that makes sense)
1. When you apply it on your face, you don’t just dump it on you skin. 2. It’s a BB Cream, not a foundation. Hence, it’s light coverage 3. You don’t put make up on top of the make up you have on. Clean your face first. 4. You should consult beauty experts first before posting anything on social media. 5. Or read the directions first. Didn’t say to dump it on face, that’s for sure.
It works for the skin tones that you see on the bottle, thats why it has that camo design. You're supposed to break the encapsulated pigments in your fingers so they adjust to the pH level of your skin before applying it to the face, like a moisturiser. It was made for Clinique ID, so you have a day lotion + color + a serum, this is just a trial size!
I work for Clinique and I can tell you right now 1, they applied way too much of the product. 2, your supposed to rub it into your hands fist to warm up the product then apply. 3, you can wear it alone but can also use it underneath makeup to help even out skin tone before putting on foundation. 4, with all foundation your supposed to always always always take it down your neck so you whether you have your ‘perfect shade’ or not it still blends and doesn’t build up around your face.
It didn't work for the other two because the clinique site states this product does not work for very fair or darker skin tones. You said everything about using it but didn't admit that she was right about what skin tones the product works on.

I tried this and I my skin is peach coloured and it does look orange at first but a minute later it looks fine. It does control the oils in my skin and it makes my skin look smooth, I actually like it.
Unfortunately I feel Marissa may be insecure with her skin, because how would you do a skin care product review with a face full off makeup... Did they not express this to her?
I work for Clinique and they applied this completely wrong. 🤦🏻♀️ YOU. HAVE. TO. RUB. IT. ON. YOUR. HANDS. FIRST. TO. WARM. IT. UP. Otherwise it will just be adjusting to its own grey tone and turn orange. When you warm it up and rub it between your hands first it begins to activate the “mimetic shade technology” or in essence skin shade matching then when you apply it to your face it continues to adjust to your skin shade. Stuff works and is a favorite among people who know how to use it! And it does work for different skin shades! Also a little goes a LONG way. Watching them drip a ton directly on their cheek made me die inside.
Thank you! i just bought this product thinking i've never had a bad experience with Clinique... the beauty rep applied it to my hand and rubbed vigorously - so I was able to see it change colors - my hand is darker than my face... it changed to the color of my hand.
okay well first of all, Marisa was already wearing foundation... bb cream is not FOUNDATION!!! So idk why they were expecting it to be full coverage. If you have acne or acne scars or redness, it will not cover it up. This is only for a natural and subtle look, which a lot of people like instead of caking on your face. I used it and i’m light/medium skin tone and have a bit of redness and i honestly think it looks pretty good on me. Marisa was hating on this product so much
I don't think Clinique sales this as a foundation and they state that is only for the tones on the tube not all the colors. Is more to Give a bronzed glow
I work at Ulta where we sell this BB-gel, and I was told by one of the Clinique reps herself that this does not work on very fair skin or darker skin gals. I even tested this on a very pale customer and it turned her burnt orange. Sooo, I’d say they definitely didn’t think about inclusivity here.
@@sylviat8220 not one of the girls applying the product applied it effectively. I don't know of any makeup or moisturizer that says you should squeeze it out of the tube directly on to your face, you have no control that way. If I dumped any foundation or tinted moisturizer I have on my face like that it would look bad. It's too much product for your skin to absorb so it just sits on top. Not really a great review if you can't even take the time to apply it carefully. Secondly, Marisa had a full face of makeup on! That should have immediately disqualified her from being a tester. Oh the product doesn't look nice over a full face of makeup, must be because the product is bad 🙄 They also seem to be going into this review not understanding what a BB cream is. It's not meant to cover major discoloration or acne scars. It's a beauty balm not full coverage foundation it's meant to be sheer with some skin care benefits thrown in that foundation doesn't typically have. Not something I once saw them address. The product not adapting like it says and just being a one-shade-fits-some kind of product is a fair criticism, but any valid points they make are undercut by the fact none of them applied it a manner that gave it a fair chance. Maybe there are better vids on this channel but the total lack of effort and know how from this video didn't make me want to watch more of them. I have this product and I’ve been using it for about three months and I apply it with a clean brush every single time because when you apply it with your hand it picks up the pigment from your fingertips and makes it look orange on the skin I definitely recommend using a brush it blends out a lot better I know it’s not foundation but I use it as a foundation and I think it’s amazing
I actually LOVE this bb cream. I’m south east asian, shade 40 / sand beige / honey - those are usually my color. And this BB cream blends SO well. I work remotely and my only going out is supermarket and school pick ups - light makeup is all i need (and prefer!)
Finally yall did SOMETHING on different skin colors. And also it does not help that you guys showed the darkest girl for like almost less than a min. And so what if it didn't work on her! You guys didn't even try to explain why it might not work on the darker skin. So this was pretty much useless to me. And who tf puts on BB gel or cream on like that? They applied WAY to much and you wear BB gel underneath makeup so why did they put in ON their makeup? Why did they have makeup on in the first place? I have to many questions but this whole video is just bad. Whats the point of this??!?!?!
Have this + fair skin. It made my skin glow under the foundation. I enjoy it. I just use my fingers and apply like a moisturizer. But nowhere on the product does it say to rub into hands to warm the product.
It adjusts to your pH level, if you studied chemistry before. But you need to break whatever small capsulated pigments in it. Idk how to explain it properly. Just imagine small beads of pigment that would adjust to your pH level of your skin, and you break those beads when you rub it onto your skin. This definitely works better with those blue products/ colour changing lipsticks
"beauty insider" yet none of them understands the use of this product. Where do they live? The first girl clearly doesn't know that a bb cream is like a colored moisturizer?I expect them to know the basics, at least (in order to give an opinion about a make up product). I absolutely love this and I am tan/caramel skin tone so it blends very nicely but I can’t seem to find this anywhere are they discontinuing it?? I hope not because it’s my favorite Clinique product
Ok, this was just dumb. -- Who the hell applies moisturizer or foundation like that?! No one!! -- Maybe read the directions before you squeeze half the bottle directly on your face? -- The last girl was already wearing a full face of make-up. She disses the product before actually trying it out. But then she uses it totally wrong. -- This video is a fail. Maybe change the title to, "How NOT to use this product"
The Clinique site says it doesn't recommend use on very fair or very dark skin.....let alone dark skin with obvious makeup on it beforehand! What sucks is that because of COVID-19, testers aren't available so we have to go through the aggravation of buying it and returning it if it doesn't turn out the way we want it. Thankfully, I took the risk and it paid off. My skin tone is light to medium, neutral undertone. Just gives me a sheer wash of color, like I spent the day in the sun. I also spread it on my neck so I don't have any demarcation lines.
Has anyone explained to any of you how to actually apply moisturizer? Way to much! Also, there is a reason you apply it twice daily. It takes a couple of days to get the best results from the product. I do agree that it may not be for extremely light, or dark complexions. Luckily I'm fair to medium, very oily and it works great!
I own this it's really nice, I use it when I want to look tan (I'm very pale most foundations are too dark for me). If you blend well and fast and go down the neck it's really nice
I can't believe people are making excuses for this product my sister used this product the way the directions directed and it was horrible she was grey and ashy looking this is really not worth there are bb creams out there that work for different skin tones why bother with this one!!!!
I receive that product like sample form Sephora and I love it ... make your skin look good without look you has make up .. but it’s sold out everywhere:( .. I was confuse I was think you was need buy two products.. but you need apply at hand before
They said that the bottle said to apply like a moisturizer. I've never met someone who applies moisturizers or really even tinted moisturizers with a brush.
Its odd to apply a tinted moisturizer with a brush the product picks off pigment on where it comes in contact first. So to avoid that orange colour from rubbing the product on your fingers, I recommend using a brush to apply directly on your face. Plus its also unsanitary applying on product directly from the bottle onto the face.
I was so angry when I bought this. The website says it only turns the shades that are on the packaging, but it didn’t say that in the store. I bought it and just looked gray. It was sooo bad!!!
Also I don’t know why they’re looking at the packaging as if the colors of the bottle are supposed to be with their skin is gonna look like it’s just the packaging it’s supposed to be look “camo” As an invisible or blending in it is literally just a color corrector and if it doesn’t work for you quit crying about it
kyle; -puts cream on hands and leaves abit of extra cream there- literally noone; James Charles; me; AAAAAAAA THERES EXTRA CREAMM RUB IT IN AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH
My take on the Clinique is that it feels really tacky for like 3 minutes and has a weird feel even dry. It also applys super uneven when you blend all the color will just move around to the outer edge of your face (with fingers, brush, sponge) and it is basically orange and has no coverage at all. That was my opinion though I’ll never use it
I’m just gonna say it... I’m finding these annoying. Too dramatic. Also they never apply things correctly... it literally says on the site that it doesn’t work for very fair skin or darker than medium dark...
Have never seen anyone just dump any cream on the face like that. The darkest girl looks like she has makeup on already..why? It is not a foundation it is A BB cream, it is supposed to only cover very lightly...
Para las chicas de piel con tono amarillo vengo a decirles que a mi me funciono super bien! Podría decir que por primera vez Clinique le atino a nuestro tono de piel :D Definitivamente no es un producto para pieles blancas o muy morenas.

Still trying to look for the dark circles on the first girl🧐
The Clinique site says it doesn't recommend use on very fair or very dark skin.....let alone dark skin with obvious makeup on it beforehand!
What sucks is that because of COVID-19, testers aren't available so we have to go through the aggravation of buying it and returning it if it doesn't turn out the way we want it. Thankfully, I took the risk and it paid off. My skin tone is light to medium, neutral undertone. Just gives me a sheer wash of color, like I spent the day in the sun. I also spread it on my neck so I don't have any demarcation lines.
what dark circles?
The reason it went orange is because she put too mouth loo
The best part:
3:40 - "The more I look like Donald Trump-"
XD
Thanks for reviewing this. Interesting product!
Please do this with the Shiseido waso colour smart moisturiser! 😊
bb cream is NOT foundation, it’s more like a tinted moisturizer. why are they expecting any coverage from it?
Nice try clinique 🤦🏾♀️
Reviewers sceptical from the get go....these are not fair reviews
I can't believe people are making excuses for this product my sister used this product the way the directions directed and it was horrible she was grey and ashy looking this is really not worth there are bb creams out there that work for different skin tones why bother with this one!!!!
someone tell this girls that this is a moisturizer with a slight tint. Not a foundation.
Green bb cream color changing , u should try it
I just bought it and it was great. Just a little then beige powder. It looks perfect!
It's sad they have a channel tbh if you don't know how to wear it then don't try it Read directions people
As someone who works for Clinique, y’all ain’t applying it correctly 😅
I receive that product like sample form Sephora and I love it ... make your skin look good without look you has make up .. but it’s sold out everywhere:( .. I was confuse I was think you was need buy two products.. but you need apply at hand before
Your suppose to apply the gel with a brush not your fingers thats why it appears orange. Its not a foundation but more like a tinted moisturizer!!!
Yep that’s what I do with mine
I have same product by Loreal and it works very good tho i apply it with a brush it still works fine
I was so angry when I bought this. The website says it only turns the shades that are on the packaging, but it didn’t say that in the store. I bought it and just looked gray. It was sooo bad!!!
That’s the one I use and it’s amazing for me! Also you should have applied two layers or more.
Also I don’t know why they’re looking at the packaging as if the colors of the bottle are supposed to be with their skin is gonna look like it’s just the packaging it’s supposed to be look “camo” As an invisible or blending in it is literally just a color corrector and if it doesn’t work for you quit crying about it
Dark circles ? Discoloration? Lol
"The every black woman color"
Then she has this gray ish on her hand 🤣
Lmao they're so brave for trying this product for us! 😹
So basically it's lotion?
Biotherm has a body BB cream like that
I cringe at BB cream. No coverage here. Applied like primer.
kyle; -puts cream on hands and leaves abit of extra cream there-
literally noone;
James Charles;
me; AAAAAAAA THERES EXTRA CREAMM RUB IT IN AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH
oop
i was meant to reply to my comment Unu
Dark circles??? Really??
Girl u don't have dark circles 🤔
Lovee how she said deeper skin
My take on the Clinique is that it feels really tacky for like 3 minutes and has a weird feel even dry. It also applys super uneven when you blend all the color will just move around to the outer edge of your face (with fingers, brush, sponge) and it is basically orange and has no coverage at all. That was my opinion though I’ll never use it
And yes, I tried multiple different ways to apply I personally just don’t think it’s a good product
I got better information from these comments then the people that actually "reviewed" the product :/
If you use your hands to apply it, it will go the colour of you hands making it too deep for your skin tone
Why don’t we just buy a normal bb cream 🙄
literally none of them have acne lmao
I’m just gonna say it... I’m finding these annoying. Too dramatic. Also they never apply things correctly... it literally says on the site that it doesn’t work for very fair skin or darker than medium dark...
Why are you dripping it on your faces like that? That seems awkward.
It's done through oxidation
Have never seen anyone just dump any cream on the face like that. The darkest girl looks like she has makeup on already..why? It is not a foundation it is A BB cream, it is supposed to only cover very lightly...
Della serie: "vuoi un mantello invisibile? Acquista questa cosa e non vedrai nulla.. assolutamente: nulla" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The first girl looks like older version of joanna ceddia but not bald🤣
They haven't even put on their faces and are already saying its not going to work that why it's a review 😑
The side of her face without this cream looks better
Why do they act so disgusted by the product.
Para las chicas de piel con tono amarillo vengo a decirles que a mi me funciono super bien! Podría decir que por primera vez Clinique le atino a nuestro tono de piel :D
Definitivamente no es un producto para pieles blancas o muy morenas.
Hi!! I love your channel lol i'm super early tho XD
The more Donald trump I become lol😁😂🤣
Who the hell dollops a bunch of bb cream on their face? 😒
Her pupils lmao
I notice her pupils in almost every video she's in. Girl take a break before you film... plan ahead lol.
Why is it bad if you like the product???? To much drama for a simple test and also WHO TESTS MAKE UP WITH MAKEUP ALREADY THERE?🤔😒
Did Clinique seriously try to pull the "color changing" foundation scam??? What have this brands descended to?
MAKE FOUNDATION WITH THIS PLEASE
Its agony watching this. Who pours makeup on their cheeks?
