I did buy the Foxy Neutrals for the packaging 😄 We had 5 baby foxes born near a creek/trees that’s on the side of our house and watched them play all Spring through the window while we were in our home quarantined. It was the first time I’d ever seen them and it was kinda great. I’d never heard a fox bark before. It was the year of the fox for me. And I will use those shadows 😁

I'm skipping everything this year. Not only am I on a no-buy, but I have too much in my collection now as it is. Every time I'm tempted by a new palette (or lip product, etc), I just look into my own collection and I find I already have that shade or something close enough to it. And then I think about the things I already own and love that will languish in my drawer if I get something new. So, I'm good with what I already have.
I feel the same way, these items are regurgitated and we've seen/had them year after year. Nothing is sparking any interest this holiday season. Even perfumes just seem 'enhanced' from their original version. I might skip holiday shopping this year, there's nothing really exciting that has been released. 😭😭😭
I think we’ve decided to forgo shopping this year. Just really hasn’t been the same excitement. Plus we are getting a few things (paint, tools etc…) on the off chance we get quarantined again. So we’ll have some projects this time. We still plan on doing the tree and dinner. But no gifts etc…

Emily thank you so much for referring me (and everyone) to that journal. 4 days ago I had a total hip replacement. I suffer from arthritis’ (2forms) among other complications. One being my leg where the hip was replaced I am in a heavy walking boot. Anyway you are just such a wonderful, well spoken, gifted young lady who is a true blessing to more than you know. Feel like those too faced sets arent meant for the typical makeup lover, I can see it as little gifts during the holidays for someone who may not be super into makeup (but would like to try new products) or if they're just starting out and dont have much money to spend on cosmetics.
I do think that is exactly what the companies are doing is appealing to new customers they haven't grabbed yet so they are going to try to just repackage what they've currently got. It is what it is.
Holy cow, I love that shirt! You look so good in that color. I'm finding that I'm not really enthralled by the holiday releases this year. I think it's because of the months of reusing what we have in our stashes already that makes us stop and think of what we really need.

I’ve been seeing this theme of exhaustion with redundant or underwhelming releases from so many of the creators I watch. I totally agree-I haven’t been nearly as excited about holiday releases this year as I have been in the past. Maybe it’s 2020, maybe it’s boredom with constant releases, maybe a bit of both. I think that’s why I loved tarte’s palette trio so much-it’s the only thing that caught my eye so far. Instead of going big with extravagant packaging and themes, it was understated and on trend. (I know you weren’t sold on the quality but I just love it.) But I think it caught my eye specifically because it was different from what I expected from large companies, and that drew me in. I wish more companies would mix up their releases in the future. I love this video, and your reasoning for each product is sound. It really helps me as I think through purchases!
I hadn't thought about not being able to use the Pat McGrath as a stand-alone palette. 🤔 The colors are pretty but you're right I'd have to combine it with another palette. You talked me out of buying it. 😁
Yeah, there are only three mattes: a medium pink, a mahogany, and a deep wine shade. They're pretty and I really like them, but I do feel as though one lighter matte shade and a black would have been otherwise made this a perfect palette. The shimmers and duo-chromes sold me though. lol
Pat herself doesn't always use mattes in her looks. She is challenging you to do the same. Her shimmers are made in a way that you can put it in the crease. If you see her instagram, you can see most looks just consist of 3 shimmers/metallics. If you're gonna hold onto the classic way we were taught to use makeup... then yea this ain't the palette for you.

Glad you aren't buying the Too Faced Holiday sets, you usually review them every holiday and I feel like these are pretty much the same as the previous ones. I feel like the Chubettes set has too many minis this time and very similar colors, I too would pass on this.
Thank you for these anti-haul videos, Emily. I find it useful to hear why someone's NOT buying something, rather than all the pros and cons from someone who did. Also, I loved your tip about determining if you are really interested in a palette or not (covering up the shades you really like). If it's a pricey purchase, then I walk away from it first, and if I still remember the item a couple of weeks later then I go back to buy it.
I think it’s so important to balance what we buy. I’ve actually not been looking at too many holiday sets. Waiting for your reviews? Lol maybe. Reality I “need” nothing but the new Ambient set intrigues me. I’ve got so many eye palettes lately I’m trying to just be happy. Thanks for each video Emily, they make me so happy.
I'm skipping all Too Faced. It's honestly a brand im so bored with anymore. I just purchased the Rare Beauty holiday sets to try out the lippies and liquid blushes. Excited for those. I also purchased the Pat Mcgrath Celestial Divinity palette and have been playing with it all week. I didn't own anything from her before that because I couldn't justify her price point. When that released I jumped on it because I have been dying to try her formula. I have really been enjoying it. Shades are beautiful. Nice application. Good longevity. I'm not someone who cares too about having enough mattes, transition, or deepening shades in a palette, so I definitely feel like I will get my money's worth.
I would liken to see you use the large Too Faced palette. I may buy it, I aleays buy Clinique"s holiday sets. This year I amonly buying the eye and cheek tiro. Last year I wanted to buy all holiday goodies, but not this year.

I love waiting until AFTER Christmas and picking up the TF holiday sets fir a fraction of the cost. I’m still using the star shaped palette with the gingerbread lady for travel. I can grab that and make it work for most of my powder needs while still having different options.
I am getting the ColourPop Taupe palette. All cool tones & no reddish-orangish-browns! I call that a win-win! I can’t afford CT, ND, HG, Fenty, etc. but I don’t have FOMO at all. My low buy is still on. It’s sometimes hard w/$25 a month cap but I don’t want to blow it this close to the EOTY!

I purchased the PM Divinity Palette and I do agree with you, a couple of extra dark matte shades would be nice, but this is an amazing palette, for someone that does not want to spend the $129 and wants to try the formula this is beautiful 💕💕💕

6:01 about the Pat McGrath Mega Mothership celestial divinity palette. I bought this palette and I still struggle with the shimmers and the metallics. I don't quite know the best way to apply them. the 3 mattes are super pigmented though and right up my ally.
I think for the first time I'll be passing on all holiday sets, after this year I just don't feel the need, I've hardly worn makeup at all during lockdown so I just feel like it would be a waste to buy any of this. Interesting to see what brands are putting out though! :)

I know that reviewing make-up is your job, Em. I also think that it's okay to point out the flaws and areas for improvement with all these holiday releases (especially with Two Faced). It's good to talk about our relationship with money and the "buy buy buy" mentality that comes out this time of year. It's okay (and good!!) to say "This doesn't inspire me. I already have these exact shades, so I'm not going to buy it." For the holidays, odds are these companies aren't cranking out new colors anyway, just recycling old ones and switching them around a little to make it look new.
Oh my gawd Too Faced sells the same crap every holiday with a "twist" in packaging I swear they all are the same low quality garbage trash products... 🤦♀️ 😒 oh yea and then you find them at TJMaxx on clearance 😬
I actually really like the Fenty gloss formula. I held up until the last minute last year to get the holiday set when it went on sale and I'm glad I did. The colors were a good range, unique, and had enough color to show up on my lips. But I probably won't be getting this year's set as, like Emily said, I feel like 3 of the 4 will look the same and pretty much clear.
I think of all these palettes what attracts me most and what i want to get is the big enchanted forest palette with four cheek colors. The matte shades look so pretty. With the masks on everything is about eyes. So love that palette
The fenty gloss works best for me if I swipe it onto the back on my hand, then use my finger to apply it. That helps me not get too much on. I agree the applicator puts on way too much, but doing it this way, I really enjoy it!
I totally bought the trio of palettes from too faced because they’re great gifts and when you break down the price it’s about $16 a palette so it’s not a bad price for a gift! The deer one is my present to me though 😄
Hi Emily .. what is most interesting to me is how to make the choice of what to buy rather than why to buy something .. as in what you said about block the most attractive colours in a palette and seeing what is left. Those kids of things are fascinating to me, because we usually try to talk ourselves into buying rather than a very rational look at the product.
I bought the 8 pan Hourglass palette!! I LOVE it! I don’t have any other Hourglass palettes so I was excited to try it! I’ve seen all the various ones through the years and have been wanting to try one. I’m SO glad I did!!
I’m always drawn to the large Too Faced palette, usually when I see it in person, I bought it last year and barely used it. The lil hot buttered rum palette however has lived in my makeup bag all year, I love it. I’m excited for the salted caramel palette this year
When I first bought my gloss bomb I LOVED it. Fast forward 2 years later and I don't feel the same I used to about them. Some days the gloss feels great and some days it's just too much for me 😭

I think those palettes look beautiful! I always get at least a set or two from too faced every year from what ever xmas collection they come out with. I actually look forward to them every year. I did already get the pumpkin spice palette (as soon as it dropped! Have both of the gingerbread palettes and I LOVE THEM ALL! in my opinion those kinds of palettes are better quality shadows. But those xmas palettes aren't bad at all! I've seen alot of people say they dont like them, I LOVE mine from previous years!) I havent been able to decide which one, or ones I want out of this collection yet. I would like to see reviews on them so I can decide. I'm leaning toward the cinnamon bear and the biggest enchanted set at ulta, I think. I got the biggest set last year from sephora and LOVE IT STILL! These are the one things I splurge on for myself every year at xmas time.
Well. There is a lot that I have my eye on but I agree with passing on a lot of the Too Faced items. I would not mind a review of the larger pallet you spoke of. I truly want the pumpkin pallet more than any of the others even from past years. Not sure my budget will allow. But I keep looking at it and thinking I would use EVERY shade. We’ll see. Hi, Emily, the only holiday set I've been drawn to was the Too Faced Cinnamon Bear set. Nothing else so far seems special or unique enough. Hoping some late entries show up. Otherwise, I'm passing, except for the Cinnamon Bear set that I purchased this week.
A few years ago I LOOOOVED the Too Faced "Best Year Ever" palette or something like that ...it came with a nice planner as well as the palettes. I loved the planner but most of the palette shades were so terrible. Sigh
@@asc.k1865 they used to have pretty good formulations in their holiday palettes when I was in HS circa. 2010-2014. I finally tossed one from 2011, but it was similar to the natural eyes but with more shimmer
Absolutely. This is how Too Faced is ensuring more business, to target young girls so they get interested in their makeup at a young age and continue to buy and use their line, as they get older. They definitely have a strategy with this very youthful packaging.
Super excited for the hourglass mini because I didn't get the larger palette and I feel like each shade in this edited version will all work for me (I'm med-tan). I've heard great things and loved/used similar, less expensive products that were trying to be the hourglass. This option is really reasonable in price.
The Pat McGrath pallette is the kind of thing that makes me wonder what SINGLES would you suggest owning that could take these jewel toned or bright pallettes and create a complete look. A lot of these pallets don't stand alone, but I feel like there are singles out there that can be used to add depth and light, or be the transition colors those palettes are lacking. Would love to see what you would suggest to have on hand to sort of "supplement" those palettes. Love your channel 💞 -Carolyn
Gotta be honest - I’m personally getting over a lot of the makeup hype I’ve been experiencing the past few years and sticking with standards and not wearing much makeup day to day (mainly due to the pandemic, anyone else?) - BUT! I still watch Emily even though I basically plan on buying no makeup anytime soon because I enjoy her so much! ☺️
I've passed on almost all holiday collections so far. I've only bought the Fenty Glossy Posse set and the Hourglass Sculpture palette. I went to get the Too Faced Pumpkin Spice palette when it's released in the UK though.
As a 40-something year old who never wore make upbup until about three years ago, I appreciated the warnings on the wear of the lip glosses more then the critique of color decisions made on mini palettes. Now, I think Emily does an AMAZING job making it clear as to which she is critiquing for the products in this video and I listened to what she had to say but I was looking for more of a "Don't let these products touch your face because they don't work" vibe. All that being said, I might bribe Santa's elf into finding me a Too Faced mini palette because I can't handle having too many color options but I love woodland animals.😄

Do you like the new Milani glosses? The colors have been compared to fenty. Wonder if the formula is more moisturizing...❤😁 These woodland creatures remind me of kids fairy tales. I think they are targeting teens and tweens.
My Mindful Life do you mean Maybeline Lifter Glosses? I know she doesn’t really like them but I believe she said she doesn’t like the Fenty glass bombs. I love the Milani lip gloss. Also the Revlon glosses too but they aren’t shinny.
I grabbed the salted caramel, cinnamon bear, melted matte, and lip injection sets on day of release from Too Faced. The only other two I grab will be sugar plum and possibly the polar bear set - but I want to see that ice blue shade in person before I decide.
I don’t have last year’s ghost palette or the previous year’s unlocked palette. I did purchase the small unlocked palette. I really enjoy it. I agree with you, if you have the previous larger palettes, you don’t need it.

I’ve been highly considering the pmg palette. I would be fine pairing it with something else if I need to. I only have one of her palettes and idk for some reason it’s aesthetic is calling my name. We’ll see though because I keep going back and forth. It’s a lot of fear of missing out for me rn lol
None of the palettes have caught my eye, but today at ulta I saw a bare minerals veil finishing set. I am thinking about purchasing, and a lips stick set.
I’m passing on literally all holiday launches. It’s never the same quality and I don’t need a bunch of tiny products. I’d rather spend my money on a nice staple product I’ll enjoy a long time and be done.
I’m totally over those large too faced releases too! The holiday/seasonal items on my list right now are the ABH mini soft glam palette and the it cosmetics love is the foundation brush.
There's a lot of brands that have gloss type products that forms films which I prefer over most gloss textures. For instance, the ysl water tints, the urban decay vice lip chemistry, and a bazillion Korean lip products such as the romand water glasting tints and the apieu water light tint.
This is the first year I’ve picked up the Too Faced holiday set. The photos look more intense/deep than they actually are. If I didn’t like the packaging so much, it would go back. The mattes are okay. The shimmers are barely-there and the cheek shades, underwhelming. Plus, I swear the eyeshadow names are dupes from previous years. Not sure about the shades, but, I can’t help but feeling duped. I also ordered the neutral holiday set from Sephora. Hasn’t arrived yet. Couldn’t help myself. Foxes have been my classroom theme for a couple of years. Speaking of which - love the shirt!!
Hmm... Got the Foxy Neutrals. Normally, shade names don’t bother me, but how do these shade names have ANYTHING to do with enchantment or woodland animals is beyond me: Blush: Here for the Hos Eyeshadows: Ginger Snatched, Elfed Up, Lady Bells, (Lump of Coal, Chimney - because, yeah, I TOTALLY think of fireplaces when I think of woodland animals). Really Too Faced? Really? That’s the BEST you can do? At least if you’re going with an enchanted woodland animal theme, you could have come up with some better names. I should return this all. If it applies as well as the effort Too Faced put into the names (which is to say, not well at all), it will all go back.
Anti-hauls aren’t based off judging quality we have no idea about but more so about anti consumerism and not buying stuff we don’t need :)

Feel like those too faced sets arent meant for the typical makeup lover, I can see it as little gifts during the holidays for someone who may not be super into makeup (but would like to try new products) or if they're just starting out and dont have much money to spend on cosmetics.

I do think that is exactly what the companies are doing is appealing to new customers they haven't grabbed yet so they are going to try to just repackage what they've currently got. It is what it is.
Holy cow, I love that shirt! You look so good in that color. I'm finding that I'm not really enthralled by the holiday releases this year. I think it's because of the months of reusing what we have in our stashes already that makes us stop and think of what we really need.

I’ve been seeing this theme of exhaustion with redundant or underwhelming releases from so many of the creators I watch. I totally agree-I haven’t been nearly as excited about holiday releases this year as I have been in the past. Maybe it’s 2020, maybe it’s boredom with constant releases, maybe a bit of both. I think that’s why I loved tarte’s palette trio so much-it’s the only thing that caught my eye so far. Instead of going big with extravagant packaging and themes, it was understated and on trend. (I know you weren’t sold on the quality but I just love it.) But I think it caught my eye specifically because it was different from what I expected from large companies, and that drew me in. I wish more companies would mix up their releases in the future. I love this video, and your reasoning for each product is sound. It really helps me as I think through purchases!

I hadn't thought about not being able to use the Pat McGrath as a stand-alone palette. 🤔 The colors are pretty but you're right I'd have to combine it with another palette. You talked me out of buying it. 😁
Yeah, there are only three mattes: a medium pink, a mahogany, and a deep wine shade. They're pretty and I really like them, but I do feel as though one lighter matte shade and a black would have been otherwise made this a perfect palette. The shimmers and duo-chromes sold me though. lol
Pat herself doesn't always use mattes in her looks. She is challenging you to do the same. Her shimmers are made in a way that you can put it in the crease. If you see her instagram, you can see most looks just consist of 3 shimmers/metallics.
If you're gonna hold onto the classic way we were taught to use makeup... then yea this ain't the palette for you.

Glad you aren't buying the Too Faced Holiday sets, you usually review them every holiday and I feel like these are pretty much the same as the previous ones. I feel like the Chubettes set has too many minis this time and very similar colors, I too would pass on this.
Thank you for these anti-haul videos, Emily. I find it useful to hear why someone's NOT buying something, rather than all the pros and cons from someone who did. Also, I loved your tip about determining if you are really interested in a palette or not (covering up the shades you really like). If it's a pricey purchase, then I walk away from it first, and if I still remember the item a couple of weeks later then I go back to buy it.
I think it’s so important to balance what we buy. I’ve actually not been looking at too many holiday sets. Waiting for your reviews? Lol maybe. Reality I “need” nothing but the new Ambient set intrigues me. I’ve got so many eye palettes lately I’m trying to just be happy. Thanks for each video Emily, they make me so happy.

I'm skipping all Too Faced. It's honestly a brand im so bored with anymore. I just purchased the Rare Beauty holiday sets to try out the lippies and liquid blushes. Excited for those. I also purchased the Pat Mcgrath Celestial Divinity palette and have been playing with it all week. I didn't own anything from her before that because I couldn't justify her price point. When that released I jumped on it because I have been dying to try her formula. I have really been enjoying it. Shades are beautiful. Nice application. Good longevity. I'm not someone who cares too about having enough mattes, transition, or deepening shades in a palette, so I definitely feel like I will get my money's worth.
I would liken to see you use the large Too Faced palette. I may buy it, I aleays buy Clinique"s holiday sets. This year I amonly buying the eye and cheek tiro. Last year I wanted to buy all holiday goodies, but not this year.

I love waiting until AFTER Christmas and picking up the TF holiday sets fir a fraction of the cost. I’m still using the star shaped palette with the gingerbread lady for travel. I can grab that and make it work for most of my powder needs while still having different options.

I am getting the ColourPop Taupe palette. All cool tones & no reddish-orangish-browns! I call that a win-win! I can’t afford CT, ND, HG, Fenty, etc. but I don’t have FOMO at all. My low buy is still on. It’s sometimes hard w/$25 a month cap but I don’t want to blow it this close to the EOTY!

I purchased the PM Divinity Palette and I do agree with you, a couple of extra dark matte shades would be nice, but this is an amazing palette, for someone that does not want to spend the $129 and wants to try the formula this is beautiful 💕💕💕

The pics do not do her palette justice.
I dont think it is the same formula as her motherships hence the lower price. This is one of the reasons im passing.

6:01 about the Pat McGrath Mega Mothership celestial divinity palette. I bought this palette and I still struggle with the shimmers and the metallics. I don't quite know the best way to apply them. the 3 mattes are super pigmented though and right up my ally.
I think for the first time I'll be passing on all holiday sets, after this year I just don't feel the need, I've hardly worn makeup at all during lockdown so I just feel like it would be a waste to buy any of this. Interesting to see what brands are putting out though! :)

I know that reviewing make-up is your job, Em. I also think that it's okay to point out the flaws and areas for improvement with all these holiday releases (especially with Two Faced). It's good to talk about our relationship with money and the "buy buy buy" mentality that comes out this time of year. It's okay (and good!!) to say "This doesn't inspire me. I already have these exact shades, so I'm not going to buy it." For the holidays, odds are these companies aren't cranking out new colors anyway, just recycling old ones and switching them around a little to make it look new.
Oh my gawd Too Faced sells the same crap every holiday with a "twist" in packaging I swear they all are the same low quality garbage trash products... 🤦♀️ 😒 oh yea and then you find them at TJMaxx on clearance 😬

I actually really like the Fenty gloss formula. I held up until the last minute last year to get the holiday set when it went on sale and I'm glad I did. The colors were a good range, unique, and had enough color to show up on my lips. But I probably won't be getting this year's set as, like Emily said, I feel like 3 of the 4 will look the same and pretty much clear.
I think of all these palettes what attracts me most and what i want to get is the big enchanted forest palette with four cheek colors. The matte shades look so pretty. With the masks on everything is about eyes. So love that palette
The fenty gloss works best for me if I swipe it onto the back on my hand, then use my finger to apply it. That helps me not get too much on. I agree the applicator puts on way too much, but doing it this way, I really enjoy it!
I totally bought the trio of palettes from too faced because they’re great gifts and when you break down the price it’s about $16 a palette so it’s not a bad price for a gift! The deer one is my present to me though 😄
Hi Emily .. what is most interesting to me is how to make the choice of what to buy rather than why to buy something .. as in what you said about block the most attractive colours in a palette and seeing what is left. Those kids of things are fascinating to me, because we usually try to talk ourselves into buying rather than a very rational look at the product.
I bought the 8 pan Hourglass palette!! I LOVE it! I don’t have any other Hourglass palettes so I was excited to try it! I’ve seen all the various ones through the years and have been wanting to try one. I’m SO glad I did!!

I’m always drawn to the large Too Faced palette, usually when I see it in person, I bought it last year and barely used it. The lil hot buttered rum palette however has lived in my makeup bag all year, I love it. I’m excited for the salted caramel palette this year

When I first bought my gloss bomb I LOVED it. Fast forward 2 years later and I don't feel the same I used to about them. Some days the gloss feels great and some days it's just too much for me 😭

I think those palettes look beautiful! I always get at least a set or two from too faced every year from what ever xmas collection they come out with. I actually look forward to them every year. I did already get the pumpkin spice palette (as soon as it dropped! Have both of the gingerbread palettes and I LOVE THEM ALL! in my opinion those kinds of palettes are better quality shadows. But those xmas palettes aren't bad at all! I've seen alot of people say they dont like them, I LOVE mine from previous years!) I havent been able to decide which one, or ones I want out of this collection yet. I would like to see reviews on them so I can decide. I'm leaning toward the cinnamon bear and the biggest enchanted set at ulta, I think. I got the biggest set last year from sephora and LOVE IT STILL! These are the one things I splurge on for myself every year at xmas time.
Well. There is a lot that I have my eye on but I agree with passing on a lot of the Too Faced items. I would not mind a review of the larger pallet you spoke of. I truly want the pumpkin pallet more than any of the others even from past years. Not sure my budget will allow. But I keep looking at it and thinking I would use EVERY shade. We’ll see. I bought the Pat McGrath palette. The colors are darker in person than the pictures. You can definitely get a complete look with the one palette.
Hi, Emily, the only holiday set I've been drawn to was the Too Faced Cinnamon Bear set. Nothing else so far seems special or unique enough. Hoping some late entries show up. Otherwise, I'm passing, except for the Cinnamon Bear set that I purchased this week.
I feel like toofaced holiday collections are targeted to younger girls who may be just getting into makeup and get these as gifts.
A few years ago I LOOOOVED the Too Faced "Best Year Ever" palette or something like that ...it came with a nice planner as well as the palettes. I loved the planner but most of the palette shades were so terrible. Sigh

Absolutely. This is how Too Faced is ensuring more business, to target young girls so they get interested in their makeup at a young age and continue to buy and use their line, as they get older. They definitely have a strategy with this very youthful packaging.
Super excited for the hourglass mini because I didn't get the larger palette and I feel like each shade in this edited version will all work for me (I'm med-tan). I've heard great things and loved/used similar, less expensive products that were trying to be the hourglass. This option is really reasonable in price.
The Pat McGrath pallette is the kind of thing that makes me wonder what SINGLES would you suggest owning that could take these jewel toned or bright pallettes and create a complete look. A lot of these pallets don't stand alone, but I feel like there are singles out there that can be used to add depth and light, or be the transition colors those palettes are lacking. Would love to see what you would suggest to have on hand to sort of "supplement" those palettes. Love your channel 💞 -Carolyn
Gotta be honest - I’m personally getting over a lot of the makeup hype I’ve been experiencing the past few years and sticking with standards and not wearing much makeup day to day (mainly due to the pandemic, anyone else?) - BUT! I still watch Emily even though I basically plan on buying no makeup anytime soon because I enjoy her so much! ☺️
The Too Faced Enchanted palettes with the adorable woodland animals would make a perfect gift though. Especially for a teen. 🥰
I've passed on almost all holiday collections so far. I've only bought the Fenty Glossy Posse set and the Hourglass Sculpture palette. I went to get the Too Faced Pumpkin Spice palette when it's released in the UK though.
As a 40-something year old who never wore make upbup until about three years ago, I appreciated the warnings on the wear of the lip glosses more then the critique of color decisions made on mini palettes.
Now, I think Emily does an AMAZING job making it clear as to which she is critiquing for the products in this video and I listened to what she had to say but I was looking for more of a "Don't let these products touch your face because they don't work" vibe.
All that being said, I might bribe Santa's elf into finding me a Too Faced mini palette because I can't handle having too many color options but I love woodland animals.😄
So glad to see there are some things you aren't picking up. Would love to see you do some kind of project pan on the products that you do have. Would love to see the products you use up and know why you chose those.

My Mindful Life do you mean Maybeline Lifter Glosses? I know she doesn’t really like them but I believe she said she doesn’t like the Fenty glass bombs. I love the Milani lip gloss. Also the Revlon glosses too but they aren’t shinny.
Milani makes the best glosses. The Keep It Full Nourishing glosses are holy grail status.

I grabbed the salted caramel, cinnamon bear, melted matte, and lip injection sets on day of release from Too Faced. The only other two I grab will be sugar plum and possibly the polar bear set - but I want to see that ice blue shade in person before I decide.
I don’t have last year’s ghost palette or the previous year’s unlocked palette. I did purchase the small unlocked palette. I really enjoy it. I agree with you, if you have the previous larger palettes, you don’t need it.

Totally agree with goopy lip gloss. Do you have any recommendations of ones that you like that aren't goopy but rather, moisturizing?
Not Emily but Iove the Fenty glosses, Nars, Lunar Beauty.
There's a lot of brands that have gloss type products that forms films which I prefer over most gloss textures. For instance, the ysl water tints, the urban decay vice lip chemistry, and a bazillion Korean lip products such as the romand water glasting tints and the apieu water light tint.
Persona Cosmetics lip glosses are amazing!
The new ones from Maybelline: Lifter gloss with hyaluronic acid.
I like the Tower 28 glosses and the color pop lip oils for more moisture
This is the first year I’ve picked up the Too Faced holiday set. The photos look more intense/deep than they actually are. If I didn’t like the packaging so much, it would go back. The mattes are okay. The shimmers are barely-there and the cheek shades, underwhelming. Plus, I swear the eyeshadow names are dupes from previous years. Not sure about the shades, but, I can’t help but feeling duped. I also ordered the neutral holiday set from Sephora. Hasn’t arrived yet. Couldn’t help myself. Foxes have been my classroom theme for a couple of years. Speaking of which - love the shirt!!
Hmm... Got the Foxy Neutrals. Normally, shade names don’t bother me, but how do these shade names have ANYTHING to do with enchantment or woodland animals is beyond me:

Really Too Faced? Really? That’s the BEST you can do? At least if you’re going with an enchanted woodland animal theme, you could have come up with some better names. I should return this all. If it applies as well as the effort Too Faced put into the names (which is to say, not well at all), it will all go back.
