Great breakdown. I played again Tara for the first time on my last game before lockdown and got smashed. Her mechanics were nothing like I'd seen before and didn't know how to play against her.
I'm a returning Malifaux player with loyalty only to Outcasts and had no interest in this master. However, after listening to your podcasts I'm sold. Once I finish painting my Viks I know who I'll be picking up.
Amazing video and for someone just starting out in the hobby is great. If you could do December keyword that would be great as I am looking at that model range along with Bighat as my first crew!
I play woth talos an 10 points left for divers flip roles oder to redraw 2 cards each turn. But it is realy difficult to play her but when the engine works it is realy cool. As example when the enemy leader is buried that gives me a lot of time xD
Great video. But I got a question considering the Glimpse the Void action (maybe it‘s silly, Tara is my first master): It says „[...] unbury it within 1“ of an enemy model“. Is the word „enemy“ to be read from the attackers/casters or the defenders perspective? Or, to avoid confusion: If I am the Tara player, is the model unburied next to my model or next to my opponent’s model? And who get‘s to choose the model where it is unburied, me or them?
Hi, short version is the Tara player unburies the enemy model when it activates within 1" of another enemy model. We'll have a Harlefaux podcast on Tara coming out this month so look out for that for a full rundown. ☺
Really enjoy these master videos. The crew looks interesting and the models are incredible. However, have been hesitant to pick them up. What are people’s thoughts on if she is viable in GG1?
Thank you! She's great into 2/3 of them, basically recover evidence screws her but she's okay with Ley Lines and awesome at the other two. We've recorded a Harl'e'faux ep this weekend that should be out near the new year which will go over it more. :)
