Really enjoyed all the vlogs on this American trip. It's so obvious that Cedar Point was the highlight of all the parks you visited. To end your trip with a great night ride on The Beast will be one to remember for a long time. I think Kings Island needs to improve their guest experience and communications feedback when rides go down using Cedar Point as their benchmark. 👍
I went to Kings Island last June, and got 3 night rides on The Beast! 2 of those were in the rain. I also got rain rides on Diamondback, Orion, and Backlot Stunt Coaster!
Love The Beast! We made a road trip from Cleveland to ride it in 1980 when I was 18 & it blew me away. I've been back several times over the years & it's still awesome!
@@PatrickRyan150It’s a “different beast” at night that’s for sure 😅 Can I just say thank you for watching and commenting on all of the recent vlogs, really appreciate it 🤝
Within the US theme park community, KI operations are generally considered very good and certainly the best in the cedar point/six flags group. I think you have just had some bad luck.
I’ve visited 3 times (2019, 2022 and this year) and always felt the park is nowhere near as good as Cedar Point, it’s just a bad luck park for us I think 😢
Due to the power cut, and how little we’d done by 5pm we prioritised the main stuff as well as getting the new coaster in this video. I’d previously got those coasters done in 2019, and I believe everyone else got them done during this visit whilst I did some off ride filming.
Sorry to hear about your trip to Kings Island. As Ohioans and Cedar Fair pass holders, we actually prefer ride operations at KI over CP. Unfortunately you were there on an off day.
@@yourexperienceguide yep! It was the worst day they have had this year. It played absolutely carnage with the ride systems. Do you have an email address for the channel.
A couple things I like about KI. A solid lineup of coasters and their top ones all have great capacity, unlike CP where the most in demand rides (Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Millennium Force) don't have great capacity. I also like that you can walk from one point of the park to any other point in like 10 minutes due to the hub and spoke layout. CP is hard to beat with the beach and the lake and their best rides are better than KI's best, but CP also isn't as strong as it used to be in terms of operations which is why some people have been taking a liking to KI in recent years.
I can see the potential but saw so much stacking on the big coasters at KI, I didn’t see anything with their operations that convinced me they’re better than CP, it was quite the opposite 😭
We recently went to Kings Island and Cedar Point and found operations at KI to be much better than at CP. We rode everything at KI and there were no lines even though the park was busy. At CP the lines were horrendous due to too many fast passes being sold and on our second day the the rides kept going down at one point about five rides were all down at one including both steel Vengeance and Maverick. Personally I enjoyed my time at KI much more than at CP which in my view is hugely over rated
@yourexperienceguide We have been to both parks many times and are CP it always seems that the lines are super long and the rides always going down. On our last visit there was a huge line at customer services on the way out. Probably all the people that had paid nearly $200 for fast passes and could nor get on rides because they either were down or the fast pass line exceeded 60 minutes. Complete rip off. I would take Kings Island every time as the better park. CP are relying on the "thusies" who cannot see beyond the extreme rides. It is time they put something new in there that actually works.
@@dianenorton1811 That’s fair enough and your opinion, but what I’m saying is based on *my* experience at the parks on 3 separate visits is that Cedar Point is by far superior to Kings Island as far as the rides go, and operation of the park goes. Magnum is my favourite coaster at CP so I’m not influenced by the biggest coaster.
Perhaps you should try riding more coasters at the back rather than the front. It is right that the beast has been tamed somewhat but if you ride at the back you get a wilder ride.
@@yourexperienceguide The seat before the last is better on The Beast. No wheels. I am sure that you will be aware that the front row is always the least dynamic ride on a wooden coaster.
We’re going mid August from Canada and really wanted our night ride on The Beast, only to find out the park will be closing at 8PM the day of our visit and the sunset is around 8:30PM at that time of the year. Our only hope now is to be the last to get in line at park closure and expect there’s still a 30 min wait. What do think? Was there still a line at park closure or it was a walk in? We’re going on a Wednesday, for reference.
The Beast queue was longer at the end of the day than any other point of the day, it’s maybe worth waiting by the entrance until they’re just about to close the queue.
Oh that’s great news! Glad to see it’s a thing even with the GP guests. We’ll absolutely do that then. Probably the only time I’ll be hoping for the longest wait possible…

14:18. Never noticed that much sway on a steel structured roller coaster before...
Good to see you guys at Kings Island another park with some great coasters too & you got to ride the Beast at night - nice 1 Scott 👍
Thanks Chris, it was a special ending to a great trip

I really enjoy everyone's enthusiasm.
Great vlog and another park i really want to visit at some point but it just doesn’t seem that great from the many vlogs I’ve watched over the years
It's got some really good rides, but it has always been quite a frustrating place to visit.

No mention of The Bat, Flight of Fear , Backlot Stunt Coaster and Adventure Express. Did you guys not get on those?

I think I’ll always prefer CP, never really had much luck at KI but I respect it for what it is. The Beast at night is an incredible experience.
Amazing Scott great vlog mate you are smashing it mate respect 🙏
Thank you 😊
Nice one Scott I’ve really enjoyed the trip thank you 👍👍✈️
Glad to hear it, thank you 😊
It was a pleasure making the videos.
Cedar Point’s atmosphere is hard to beat.
It’s up there as one of the best
Can’t believe you were there on the power outage day!
What a nightmare.
Typical eh 😆

Just think for Orion they should've gone with say Intamin and a coaster similar to Hyperion so you'd get a much different experience than Diamondback.
Completely agree
Brilliant vlog mate

It’s strange because it was completely the opposite for us, and it’s not the first time I’ve found this to be the case (2019 & 2022 too).

The Beast was extremely rough in 2019 when I did the back row, so went with the front row this time.
