Thank you! This is by far the best guache tutorial I've found. The way you explain and your voice is also pretty calming. I'm loving my painting and I can't wait to do another one
Please, can you upload more of there beautiful tutorials?, for many people as me, that be interested in learn about painting backgrounds, quld be fascinating! Thanks!
I just love your style and on top of that, I love your way of explaining what you do. It's a natural talent to be so precise with the instructions without overdoing the talking.
Just finished this using oil paint instead of gouache. Not even close to being as nice as yours but it was fun to paint along. Had to change some parts as I'm no way near good enough with oils to layer it like you are doing here, but that was also a fun challenge at the same time.
Hi Ruth, Another beautiful landscape! In this tutorial you are using the paint from the tube. Do you have a pallet that you have the gouache squeezed out and dried in compartments in the pallet, then use them reactivating them from the dried form? If so, do you spray them with water ahead of time to start painting? Thank you for all that you do.
Hey Eileen! I always use gouache from the tube and find this gives the best results. You can reactivate dried gouache on a palette but I would only really use this for small details or touch-ups; the amount of water needed to reactivate the gouache makes it difficult to get the beautiful opaque coverage you get working with fresh tube paint 💕
Lovely picture. I liked the Kingart brushes but although the price on their website is £ they obviously ship from US. I topped up my basket to avoid postage but this only applies to US customers. They wanted the same cost as the brushes plus £10.00 for postage. Is there a UK distributor.?
@@RuthWilshaw Thanks Ruth, just ordered a few brushes and will see how they go. Im currently going through Lena Rivo's course, another artist (like yourself) whose paintings I enjoy. Once thats done I may sign up to get Gouachey 🙂
This is the Etchr 100% cotton sketchbook- I get the ones with the white canvas covers. If you are in the USA they sell them at Blick, or in the UK at Jackson’s art supplies. This is an A6 size 😊
