I love this song so much 🖤🔥
It’s about Tati being an introvert and how she can procrastinate writing lyrics and the guys have to keep bugging her to finish them (like in a playful way, not like they’re pissed or anything lol) the red box with the sand art represents her lyrics and the guys are after her for them. She finally makes them disappear when she “throws” her “art” at them. 🖤

Also, destroying complex sand art is a Zen buddhism ritual to teach ones self not to latch onto things like art and music too personally. A form of ego death which ties into the "Two Wolves in everyone" concept.

The lyrics become *very* specific at one point: “I never asked to be here, I’ve hated that from the beginning”. She speaks of her position as the band’s lyricist. “Turning mole hills into mountains” - mole hills refers modestly to her poetry, which must be crafted into a mountain - a big, powerful message in yet another hit record. That’s a lot of pressure she never wanted and has always dread. “I feel the pressure building.” Wouldn’t we all?

The video is partially about Tatiana's struggle with being an introvert who must overcome this in order to be the metal goddess that she is. It is also about Jinjer's creative process. The symbolism of the video tells the story of Tatiana who tends to procrastinate about writing lyrics for the music that her band members have created. The band constantly has to bother her to get her motivated. At first she resists , but in the end throws some lyrics at the band, and finally they leave her alone. Glad you are back man.

The original name for this song was "Introvert", so you are absolutely correct

So glad to see you back. I'm excited to see what you think of the rest of the videos Jinjer has dropped. Specifically Call Me A Symbol. It's the first track on the album and it slaps you in the face! The lyrics are hard to understand on that one so I'll help you out a little. Tatiana wrote the lyrics from the perspective of an evil Diva/Goddess who demands attention and to be worshipped by her fans. She said she could never be that way because of who she is as a person but it would be fun to be that way for a day. It's almost like the opposite of this song in a lot of ways.

you don't have to stop if you don't want > cause Jinjer & napalm records are generously regarding copyright ....
and your analysis from the song is great!
many thanx for your reaction on a worldclass band.
    warm greetings from germany

Tatiana is a singer, before anything else. Growls are just 1 tool she uses to represent anger, fear and so on, in this song it's the expression of the pain and the anger she feels when the band member are chasing her for her lyrics. She once said in an interview that she could really over react and be violent (in a certain way with) the boys in that situation.

Quick item, Jinjer and Napalm don't do the copyright thing against reactors. They want the exposure. They know what free publicity is. Great reaction!

Considering how she is on stage it's sometimes surprising for people to hear that she's actually introverted and quiet. She can be that way at meet and greets on tour. i know the feeling but i can tell you that for whatever reason the stage is different for lots of people. i played music for 20+ years that was how it was for me.

This is true of many performers. One of the most famous that shared this challenge was Robin Williams.

Awesome job! As you somewhat alluded to, I used to prefer hearing more of her clean vocals (and when I discovered Jinjer ~1 year ago, I was very unfamiliar with metal). Love the lyrics. And amusingly, I keep craving more and more intensity from her harsh vocals (which she's delivered on). Still love her cleans, and tracks 7,8,9,10 on Wallflowers are absolutely transcendant for me. Thanks again, and subbing to see how you enjoy your experience.
