    You should do a shoutout and partner with dreamtonics to make official tutorials. Your content is so professional.

      Also, he has a very pleasant voice and calm demeaner which is great for explaining stuff!

      A downside would be that he may become less independant/critital of them, although he seems like a genuine person based on how he comes acoss

    (You probably knew this, but) The phoneme blocks are green in the piano roll because the Pitch Mode is "Sing" (green), not because of the track's own color.

      I've been using Synth V for two years and I still "mess up" because all the tracks are the same colour! Dreamtonics needs to think of another way to identify "sing" modes.

    Thanks, this tutorial arrives just in time. I'm planning to add a choir on my next song. I always love your videos, continue your great work. BTW, your song is now stuck in my head ;-)

    The best tutorial I've seen so far, showing every aspect of doubling vocals with Synth V. Do you know what the "Randomise Paramters" function does, could it also be used for this?

    how do i create harmoinies in synth v?

  • @hannahbackward
    @hannahbackward 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Wait! So Cubebase generates harmonies? Wow! It's better looking than Ableton. It has ARA 2 right? I'm getting jealous. Your vids are great! I like how you went for the middle of the note when lining them up because I was saying how's he gonna zero in on the transient of each track. Your way uses more of an average.

  • @barryreynolds1949

    I love your videos. One thing I don't understand is that you delayed or advanced tracks for doubling in Synthesizer V but then used free warping in Cubase, which seems like you would be counteracting the timing differences that you originally wanted. Can you tell me what I'm misunderstanding?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ha! I don't know... force of habit? The idea is to create enough random differences in Synth V so they're not phasing and doing a "rough" realignment with free warping to tighten up the backings - it's not likely the audio files will ever get warped back into exact phase. Also, I'm assuming that a large percentage of viewers are determined to do all vocal work in Synth V as they aren't DAW savvy. ;-)

    • @barryreynolds1949
      @barryreynolds1949 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mixphantom0101 thank you. Maybe you are mostly free warping the beginning notes of phrases, rather than the whole phrase?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@barryreynolds1949 Yes, I also usually make sure the backing singers phrases all end together too or at least with or before the lead vocal.

    Hey My friend. When using synthesize v. Can I import my own voice. To create songs. Thank you my friend.

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes you can as an "instrumental track". You can use your voice to generate MIDI for a Synth V voice and have them both playing with level and pan being your only controls. Best to use your voice as a guide and then export results to a DAW.

  • @setumifilms

    When I duplicate tracks they are bound to the first, that is, if you change something in the second track, all three are changed. How to disable this binding, I have not found anywhere. Or is it just me with such a problem. Help please!

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  ปีที่แล้ว

      Synth V has a few "gotchas"... if you have used Audio to MIDI it automatically creates a "group". If you duplicate the track it's the same group... so if you alter any duplicates they all get altered. The way to avoid this is to remove the group on your duplicates - Modify menu - Disband Group (removes group) - Dissociate Group (makes a new group by adding *)

    Thank you!!! Excellent video as always!!! What are your thoughts on using Syncro Arts Vocalign for these type of SynthV gang vocals vs the approach that you used for time alignment?

    • @mixphantom0101
      @mixphantom0101  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! Cubase has auto-time align too which I usually use before manually tweaking. I find manual editing demos help make the process easier to understand.

    Excellent!! I recently posted one of my songs (Waterfall) on the SV forums with 120 takes of harmony stacks. I didn’t go into as many details recording them as you just showed here so I’m really looking forward to applying this to my next track. Thanks! The song is on my other channel @lexworldmusic9687 - Cheers!
