Wat Thung Setthi: A Must-see For Anyone Visiting Khon Kaen!

Wat Thung Setthi in Khon Kaen has "Maha Chedi Ratana" or "Maha Chedi Si Tri Lok That" was built by the initiative of Luang Ta Oi, also known as "Luang Ta Yam Daeng" he persuaded his descendants to join together to build this Maha Rattana Chedi on one of his plots of land. It is a beautiful architecture built with the concept of a combination of three world pagodas, including the Chulamani Chedi in the Heavenly Daowadung, Nakhon Chedi in Naga Phiphob and Maha Rattana Chedi Sri Tri Lok That in the human world.
The pagoda looks like an inverted bell shape. It is a design art that combines Thai, Chinese, Tibetan and Western styles. The pagoda is an open hall. There are stairs going up and down on 4 sides, called the "Four Element Ladder", decorated with patterns of animals from the 4 families and guardians in all 4 directions.
Lord Buddha or Reverend Grandfather Dam The Buddha image enshrined in the pagoda. It is a black-skinned brass Buddha image, decorated with gilded ornaments, decorated with various colored gems, in the posture of meditation, in the Lopburi art style. The lap size is 155 inches wide.
