Kratos, Atreus and Freya are gods, with Kratos who died many times in Greek saga. A simple poison cannot kill a god, only brute force like Kratos' or war like Ragnarok.

I think the only time Odin comes out slightly when he's hiding as tyr is when his interest is peaked when he finds out Kratos entered the light and survived you see him get kind of excited he tells kratos "you must tell me what you saw" I think this is clever as the one thing that would make the master manipulator himself slip up in his false personality would be his lust for knowledge
When it was said that Kratos killed Baldur, fake Tyr wasn't surprised and didn't ask about it. But he should be, for Baldur was known of his invulnerability to physical and magical attacks.
This is not the only instances. When you know Tyr is Odin there are plenty of scenes where you realize Odin is not even bothering acting. Groa's secret shrine being the prime example. The funniest one is when the Brothers revealed they were the ones that stole Draupnir and Tyr was at the limit of indignant lol.
He just kind of pushes atreus out of the way in groas shrine and says “she lied”. It doesn’t make sense that Tyr would really care about the prophecy being fake because it just means only Asgard falls, which is what he wants. I thought it was strange that he thought the prophecy wasn’t true.

Of these all I had thought those little tree turtles were baby Charlies, and I did shoot the Ratatoskr chime as Atreus. I never considered you would be able to annoy Ratatoskr by hitting the chime too many times lmao. Heres a fun little easter egg I found: the first time you change the time from night to day with Freya, you can do it again, which will block your path causing you to have to do it a third time, but if you do that Freya will say something along the lines of "why did you change the time again? we needed it to be day" and Kratos awkwardly says "I..... Wanted to see the wolves again........"
The dwarf on the bridge being Odin can also be confirmed by finding the same body in the Aesir prison at the end of the game. Its the prison odin keeps people he wants to shape-shifting into while keeping them alive, as its a prerequisite for being able to shape-shift into them. You find this dwarfs body in one of the cells, and freya and mimir make a comment on that as well
Something interesting I found from the God of War subreddit, the runes in every shrine in this game and the previous one which references Tyr never mention him by name. Odin, Loki and Thor are referenced by name but Tyr is simply called “God of War”. That’s why in Groa’s shrine it says God of War (Kratos) will lead the army against Asgard. I have this ongoing theory that almost every reference to Tyr in the shrines is referring to Kratos. Kratos will become a revered and beloved god because of his role in Ragnarok and rebuilding the realms thereafter (also hinted in the final mural Kratos sees) and he will become a representative of the Nine Realms and visit other mythologies to broker peace and friendly relations with other pantheons like we saw in Tyr’s temple in the previous game. Probably how things play out in the next game.
@@TheConCarlos oh yeah I think it’s definitely gonna happen. All of Atreus’ sections in Ragnarok felt like trial runs to familiarise the audience with Atreus as a playable character. We are gonna get a dlc or maybe small spinoff like Miles Morales for Atreus in his adventure to find the Giants. And then the sequel to Ragnarok will be both Kratos and Atreus playable characters.

One thing a lot of people missed, every time you play as Atreus and return home, you can interact with the wolves, there is some unique dialog each time you visit.
Durlin gave the map to the mines at the beginning when Kratos and Atreus were asking for information about Tyr. But at the same time, Dinner also provided the Niflheim seed where the prison containing Tyr was eventually found. Clever.
The crater map part in vanaheim is by far my favourite place in ragnarok! Its just so amazing what you can do there and what great things you get to unlock
It actually feels like a full open area, rather than a linear path with some side areas on it, which is what most of the game felt like to me. My only complaint is that they don't give enough hints about being able to undam the river flow. I spent too much time trying to get to the other side of the sinkhole when my companion could have just said something that told me that I needed to look elsewhere.
I remember the lead up to that part, thinking it was gonna be a little dungeon or something. But then we get this entire open world area with its own *sub-regions*, that hadn’t been hinted at in the previous sections of the map.
I actually did get the dragon one. Thought it was too obvious of a hint when Freya said something along the lines of, "the dragon detail looks so lifelike"
Týr will be our guide to the other mythology 'realms' and Kratos will help 'rebuild' these realms. And I am all for it! Best game franchise ever and only getting better.

When in Niflheim clearing the Asgardian prison (Remnant of Asgard) where you find the real Tyr, you actually see the dead dwarf that Odin uses as the disguise in one of the prison cells. Kratos, Mimir, and Freya have a little exchange on how they don’t know who the dead dwarf is.
I pushed Ratataskr to bug out about spamming the chimes twice during my playthrough. Was awesome the first time. So many little things they added for the curious among us. Amazing game.
A tiny detail related to Atreus (Loki) is that if you go back to the Norns cave Kratos will say to Mimir that: "Atreus would like the horse", and that's is funny because Loki get pregnant by Svaðilfari (an horse) and gave birth Sleipnir in the Norse mythology.
I never knew about that last dragon and never was able to fully upgrade the dragon armor, I thought that was a clever detail at first because in the description it says "no one has been known to slay enough dragons to complete this armor", thought they intentionally left a piece missing haha
Another detail, is when you go i Vanaheim for the second time, in the part when you have to use the artifact to bring Hati(day wolf), try to use it again and bring Skoll(night wolf) Freya will ask you "why you do this, we need to keep going" and Kratos response "I just wanted to see the wolves again".
Great video. The only thing I would add is when you mentioned the dragon, you should’ve mentioned the trolls that you can awaken too. I believe there is 6 different “bosses” to awaken.
Spoiler In the prison where Odin keep all the beings he wants to impersonate, there is a single dwarf in one of the cell, the characters even made a comment about his corpse
Another detail being when you first meet Tyr he asks kratos and atreus to give him food and shelter whereas when they meet the actual tyr at the end he refuses the same hinting at what odin did which is going to people's house seeking food and shelter..
So …all the guys that were in the aesir prison in Niflheim. If we saw them during the game then they were Odin? That means then Odin had several disguises throughout the game in multiple realms

I just beat this game and it’s my favorite game ever! I really hope they make another. It made me laugh, cry, get mad it was a emotional roller coaster.
A lot of the things we see Tÿr doing in the post game is meditation and what looks like tai-chi. Both very common in the Asian cultures. I'm hoping we will travel to take on some Chinese or Japanese gods moving forward. The director did say this is the end for the norse saga and I can't imagine what you would do next with Odin and Thor dead.
I'm not entirely convinced Odin is gone for good. Maybe I'm seeing things but after the battle of ragnarok, you can find Huginn very much alive in midgard and I take he's a part of Odin?
The dwarf that spits on you, his body can be found in the Niflhiem prison after the game dead in one of the cells. Confirming it was an imposter cause that’s where Odin kept the bodies he’d imposter.
The dwarf one might have been possible to figure out. Big maybe... but if someone were to compare this dwarf model with the one dead in ice prison, I would not be surprised if they matched.
I guess if youd really pay attention you couldve found out about odin disguising himself as a dwarf. At the end when you go the the asgard prison in nilfheim, there should be a dwarf thats identical to the one on the bridge in svartalfheim
My guess was that Odin did this after I freed Tyr. In other cells there was a dwarf, and elf, something I can’t remember, and Tyr. They said that Tyr was kept alive because Odin needed him alive in order to disguise himself as Tyr. I thought he would do this for the dwarf and Elvin race too.
Wow, I knew about using that relic to awaken the dormant trolls, and get the Steinbjorn Armor, but I didn't know you could awaken the dragon on that beach as well! Cool!
A small note on Odin disguising himself on a dwarf, while I am sure without the game director telling us no one would have found out, in hindsight, it might seem possible, in the prison that appears post-game, it is revealed that everyone is there is so Odin can disguise as them, for example, Tyr, and in one of the jail cells IS the dwarf he becomes, he is dead after it falls from Asgard but I assume he was alive during the time Odin pretends to be him.
Everyone keeps saying that Tyr is doing yoga in Vanaheim, but i immediately recognized it as qi gong exercises (from Chinese martial arts, most notably tai chi). I’m not very familiar with yoga, so it might also be a yoga pose. There is a lot of overlap. Either way, yoga points to the Hindu pantheon, while qi gong would suggest China. I’d love to see either one in an upcoming game
One more detail you may have noticed... Kratos' second visit to Fates' location with Atreus and Mimir. When Mimir asks Kratos why you have come to visit Fates again when you already knew they don't remain in same location, then Krotos simply says that "I thought Atreus would have loved the horse (Kelpi)".
He could've literally decided that this dwarf was Odin 10 seconds before he revealed it. It's that arbitrary. Not saying that it's a bad thing. It's just funny to me.
I know it's possible to attack in the yard outside Sindri's house, but can Atreus use his spectral summons? Is there any special dialogue if he tries to summon Bitter while there?
I personally would love to know what the "alien pod" looking plants are. They show something in them like when you pick stuff off the ground but yet when you destroy them as in exploding them there's nothing there but they seem to be all over the place ...
Probably only works on KO'd targets, not actual death, besides, Brok already had 25% of his Soul missing, so most likely it would have been ineffective
He didn't have a complete soul from the first time he resurrected him which is why he was blue to begin with and why the mermaid never noticed him remember no soul no afterlife no resurrection
I beat the game basically 99% I got platinum and just now figured out about the final dragon statue fight, I was wondering how on earth I had to get the other dragon claws to finish the dragon armor 😂😂😂 I’ll be sure to do this while on my second play through thanks! 👍🏻

That "yoga" pose is Tai Chi, which is a style of kung fu. in modern days it's practiced as a form of exercise, or a way to meditate. If it means the Chinese pantheons are next, then I am looking forward for a showdown between Kratos and Wukong.
technically, we already went to Egypt: in the comic Fallen God, it's the first place Kratos ended up after the fall of Olympus; he ended up getting "recruited" by who some think is Horus into killing a demonic hippo attacking a small village.
I also dicovered a detail in midgard while playing,it's the tyr head statue wreck,but one of his eyes is burning,which i think was also made on purpose 😊
One more detail. In Odin's chamber, there's a "self portrait" on the floor. Atreus makes a comment about if its an old picture or how odin sees himself. Anyways, looks exactly like Tyr, except with an eye patch

for the captions showing tyr when odin is speaking tis actually pretty obvious early on if you compare it to him the right after you save him you say tyr and it has the accent literally right after finding him so that hint is meant to be picked up immediately
The true killer in this game is MEAD. Thor drank mead, dead, Odin drank mead in the beginning, dead as well. Freyr and Brok drank mead together, dead as well. Don't drink MEAD!!!
One thing i discover. At the end of the game when kratos fight with odin and then freya comes With rope .. When kratos, freya & atreus fight with odin, then you can see odin summon rope with his spear and attack with rope...
If you look closely at Tyr's arms you can see that he has what I believe to be hieroglyphic tatoos. If there is a dlc that shows Kratos' decision to go to another realm, I think that Tyr will play a part in whether or not Kratos goes to Eygpt.
There’s also a few trolls that you can fight with the “mysterious heirloom”relic one in Midgard in vanaheim there is 2 but you fight them at the same time and the last one is in alfheim
Where it COULD go in the future. That's not saying a lot. The game ended in a way that really did not give a cliffhanger like the 1st one. It's probably going to be a 10 year thing. Which sucks so bad. It's a wonderful game. I wouldn't want them to be rushed to a sequel that will just suck because of money. Still, I wouldn't be thinking "hey there's a great hint that the next game will be...." People keep thinking the Egyptian pantheon will be next, but besides the comic, nothing official indicates this. No official comment from the studio hints at this.
Those are some cool details. Considering Týr is doing yoga, it would hint at India for the next game, wouldn't it? That would also be my favourite next pantheon. Kratos going up against Ganesh, Shiva or Kali.
He's doing yoga and meditation, which is a reference to Hinduism/Buddhism. The next game probably takes place in India with all of those gods and conflicts. They said they had the next 4 games planned out and I can also see Egypt being next after india, since it's such a popular one culturally.
Another interesting detail is that, at the end of the game, when Freyr is holding off Ragnarok, he calls Freya, but not by her name we know her as, nor as Frygg. He calls her Nao. I am trying to find where it may tie in, but the only lead I can provide is that a goddess in an MMO loosely based on Celtic mythology has the same name. Hopefully someone can provide better information than I can.

And given that it’s spoken only once, at the end of the game, and never mentioned again, I can’t help but wonder if its placement was intentional. Like Odin impersonating the dwarf. It just being a random nickname seems to be out of place, given the amount of lore and hidden details we have encountered so far.

I never knew about that last dragon and never was able to fully upgrade the dragon armor, I thought that was a clever detail at first because in the description it says "no one has been known to slay enough dragons to complete this armor", thought they intentionally left a piece missing haha
Another detail, is when you go i Vanaheim for the second time, in the part when you have to use the artifact to bring Hati(day wolf), try to use it again and bring Skoll(night wolf) Freya will ask you "why you do this, we need to keep going" and Kratos response "I just wanted to see the wolves again".

Great video. The only thing I would add is when you mentioned the dragon, you should’ve mentioned the trolls that you can awaken too. I believe there is 6 different “bosses” to awaken.
I think there were a lot of hints/implications that Atreus might go to Egypt. Or that Egypt is where the giants went

In the prison where Odin keep all the beings he wants to impersonate, there is a single dwarf in one of the cell, the characters even made a comment about his corpse
They also have a hidden perk when you equip an enchantment from each of the realms

Another detail being when you first meet Tyr he asks kratos and atreus to give him food and shelter whereas when they meet the actual tyr at the end he refuses the same hinting at what odin did which is going to people's house seeking food and shelter..

I just beat this game and it’s my favorite game ever! I really hope they make another. It made me laugh, cry, get mad it was a emotional roller coaster.
A lot of the things we see Tÿr doing in the post game is meditation and what looks like tai-chi. Both very common in the Asian cultures. I'm hoping we will travel to take on some Chinese or Japanese gods moving forward. The director did say this is the end for the norse saga and I can't imagine what you would do next with Odin and Thor dead.
I'm not entirely convinced Odin is gone for good. Maybe I'm seeing things but after the battle of ragnarok, you can find Huginn very much alive in midgard and I take he's a part of Odin?

The dwarf that spits on you, his body can be found in the Niflhiem prison after the game dead in one of the cells. Confirming it was an imposter cause that’s where Odin kept the bodies he’d imposter.
That "yoga dance" is Tai chi a Chinese from of exercise
I noticed Odin's (and Angrabodas) tattoos disappear but thought it was a mistake or something.

They need to add more mystic gateways. Like, holy shit… Vansheim is a bitch to navigate and not enough mystic gateways make it more aggravating IMO.
The dwarf one might have been possible to figure out. Big maybe... but if someone were to compare this dwarf model with the one dead in ice prison, I would not be surprised if they matched.

I guess if youd really pay attention you couldve found out about odin disguising himself as a dwarf. At the end when you go the the asgard prison in nilfheim, there should be a dwarf thats identical to the one on the bridge in svartalfheim

My guess was that Odin did this after I freed Tyr. In other cells there was a dwarf, and elf, something I can’t remember, and Tyr. They said that Tyr was kept alive because Odin needed him alive in order to disguise himself as Tyr. I thought he would do this for the dwarf and Elvin race too.

Wow, I knew about using that relic to awaken the dormant trolls, and get the Steinbjorn Armor, but I didn't know you could awaken the dragon on that beach as well! Cool!
A small note on Odin disguising himself on a dwarf, while I am sure without the game director telling us no one would have found out, in hindsight, it might seem possible, in the prison that appears post-game, it is revealed that everyone is there is so Odin can disguise as them, for example, Tyr, and in one of the jail cells IS the dwarf he becomes, he is dead after it falls from Asgard but I assume he was alive during the time Odin pretends to be him.
Everyone keeps saying that Tyr is doing yoga in Vanaheim, but i immediately recognized it as qi gong exercises (from Chinese martial arts, most notably tai chi).
I’m not very familiar with yoga, so it might also be a yoga pose. There is a lot of overlap. Either way, yoga points to the Hindu pantheon, while qi gong would suggest China. I’d love to see either one in an upcoming game
Next one is going to be in Polynesia to fight the island gods of ancient Hawaiian and pacific island nations. Can’t wait to see him fight Maui.
One more detail you may have noticed... Kratos' second visit to Fates' location with Atreus and Mimir. When Mimir asks Kratos why you have come to visit Fates again when you already knew they don't remain in same location, then Krotos simply says that "I thought Atreus would have loved the horse (Kelpi)".

Best way I can equate things is that Odin is similar to Half-Life's Gman. He's always spying on you, manipulating you, and trying to see what happens.
I personally would love to know what the "alien pod" looking plants are. They show something in them like when you pick stuff off the ground but yet when you destroy them as in exploding them there's nothing there but they seem to be all over the place ...
Are you using atreus sigil and then freezing them? Cause when I do it you get odds and ends like crafting material.
You can destroy them by first using the hex arrow on them, then throwing your axe which will freeze them making it explode.

Probably only works on KO'd targets, not actual death, besides, Brok already had 25% of his Soul missing, so most likely it would have been ineffective
He didn't have a complete soul from the first time he resurrected him which is why he was blue to begin with and why the mermaid never noticed him remember no soul no afterlife no resurrection

I beat the game basically 99% I got platinum and just now figured out about the final dragon statue fight, I was wondering how on earth I had to get the other dragon claws to finish the dragon armor 😂😂😂 I’ll be sure to do this while on my second play through thanks! 👍🏻

I find it interesting how hung up people are on Egypt when the Norn's, Mimir, and the Kelpie point to perhaps more Celtic mythology in the future.
Also, when you are eating with Tyr and atreus, Tyr will refer to Atreus as "Champion" leaning in about Odin and Loki being the Jotnar chamion

If it means the Chinese pantheons are next, then I am looking forward for a showdown between Kratos and Wukong.
technically, we already went to Egypt: in the comic Fallen God, it's the first place Kratos ended up after the fall of Olympus; he ended up getting "recruited" by who some think is Horus into killing a demonic hippo attacking a small village.

for the captions showing tyr when odin is speaking tis actually pretty obvious early on if you compare it to him the right after you save him you say tyr and it has the accent literally right after finding him so that hint is meant to be picked up immediately

The true killer in this game is MEAD. Thor drank mead, dead, Odin drank mead in the beginning, dead as well. Freyr and Brok drank mead together, dead as well. Don't drink MEAD!!!

If you look closely at Tyr's arms you can see that he has what I believe to be hieroglyphic tatoos. If there is a dlc that shows Kratos' decision to go to another realm, I think that Tyr will play a part in whether or not Kratos goes to Eygpt.

If I remember correctly, we find a dead dwarf in the Asgard prison, when it crash lands in Nifleheim.
There’s also a few trolls that you can fight with the “mysterious heirloom”relic one in Midgard in vanaheim there is 2 but you fight them at the same time and the last one is in alfheim

Where it COULD go in the future. That's not saying a lot. The game ended in a way that really did not give a cliffhanger like the 1st one. It's probably going to be a 10 year thing. Which sucks so bad. It's a wonderful game. I wouldn't want them to be rushed to a sequel that will just suck because of money. Still, I wouldn't be thinking "hey there's a great hint that the next game will be...." People keep thinking the Egyptian pantheon will be next, but besides the comic, nothing official indicates this. No official comment from the studio hints at this.

Those are some cool details. Considering Týr is doing yoga, it would hint at India for the next game, wouldn't it? That would also be my favourite next pantheon. Kratos going up against Ganesh, Shiva or Kali.
He's doing yoga and meditation, which is a reference to Hinduism/Buddhism. The next game probably takes place in India with all of those gods and conflicts. They said they had the next 4 games planned out and I can also see Egypt being next after india, since it's such a popular one culturally.
Another interesting detail is that, at the end of the game, when Freyr is holding off Ragnarok, he calls Freya, but not by her name we know her as, nor as Frygg.
He calls her Nao.
I am trying to find where it may tie in, but the only lead I can provide is that a goddess in an MMO loosely based on Celtic mythology has the same name.
Hopefully someone can provide better information than I can.

But Naó is not any of Freya’s aliases, nor does it seem associated with Norse mythology at all.
And given that it’s spoken only once, at the end of the game, and never mentioned again, I can’t help but wonder if its placement was intentional. Like Odin impersonating the dwarf.
It just being a random nickname seems to be out of place, given the amount of lore and hidden details we have encountered so far.
