    I LOVE this setup!! I use it every week! One problem that I run into though is having the “rubber smacking” sound bleed into the other mics every now and then

      You could always try adjusting the velocity sensitivity to 0 so that a light hit produces the full volume each time, then play the pad softer. Might help.

      You could also maybe try eq’ing that out if you’re recording with this exact setup.

    Pretty sure Tama makes a boom arm clamp with a mount for an SPD that does the exact same thing as this. If you’re concerned about the look then that might be the way to go.
