I had no idea about the save selection button. What a great tool. Also, I love the use of coarse view for the plumbing fixtures. We use fine view but turn the transparency down on them.
Can’t wait for the sloped piping video.

Yea I had to get creative for that one. Using the course view for the risers gives added flexibility since you'll want to keep the fixture geometry on in the model so you can see them when working. It was pretty fun trying to figure out the best method for that. Let me know if you have any other tricks!

Yea, I've been wanting to do a sloped piping video for a while, but wanted to wait to get better at video making since it will probably be a popular one. Balkan Architect did one the other week that made me cringe lol. I love that he tried, but it was clear he hadn't used sloped piping much. I really try to stay away from it unless it's really necessary. But I'm excited to put it together for you guys. I got a couple cool tricks that I think everyone will like.

@@mep_guy I saw that video and it was cringe. I love his videos, but when it comes to plumbing, you can tell he’s an architect.

@@jayblake682 haha yep. He's the reason why I started making videos. he got like 400k views on his plumbing videos and everything was all wrong. Made me think that there was a huge demand for plumbing. He was the first one to make it big doing revit tutorials, so I give him lots of props and he has a good teaching style. But he should probably stay away from mep or get some lessons from some professionals first.

@@mep_guy agreed. I like his Revit videos, but his MEP stuff is hard to watch. I’ve always disliked the way non-MEP designers try to showcase the MEP portions of Revit.

Thank you so much! You have no idea how much I have looked to find somone who specializes in Revit MEP and is more experienced than myself. I just came across your channel and subscribed. Good luck and keep up the good work!

@@mep_guyThank you again, absolutely. I haven't had a chance to look at all of your library. Once caught up, I will be more than happy to share areas that might be interesting/challenging even for an experienced user. Please keep up the good work!

Hi MEP Guy hope you'll release a series soon about the basics of Plumbing for students/starters that want to learn because for me with this type of teaching pairing with visual aid (BIM software/3d software) are just more effective in learning than just books. 🙏

Yes I totally agree! Video learning has helped me so much throughout the years. I wasn't great at reading books either. I'm currently working on my plumbing course. I might try to do a mini course on basic plumbing design. I think there are a lot of beginners out there that need a good visual plumbing course. Stayed tuned and I'll have something available soon!

Joe, just saw your comment on Bimitup about his piping in the apartment. I'm pretty sure that's not allowed by code. I didn't want to call him out though bc I'm not 100% sure. But when I look at the piping, he can't tie the washer box into the bathroom group and wet vent the water closet. Having said that, I think the system will vent fine, but wasn't sure if it was allowed by code. I think most plumbers use a waste/vent stack for the washer box to keep it separate. At least that's what we do.
