Exploring The Boise Bike Park

This past year the Katherine Albertson foundation and Alpine Bike Parks worked together to bring the City of Boise one of the coolest public bike parks in the country.
This massive project took almost 11 months to complete and transformed this once vacant lot into one of the most used parks in the entire treasure valley.
My Friend Kevin Lillywhite took some initiative and started spreading the word for a big get together / jam the first weekend of 2020 and it was an absolute blast! Huge thanks to everyone that came out and supported and also a huge thank you to everyone that made this park possible!

Thanks, yeah there are a lot of great outdoorsy people here! I built a park like this in my hometown though and it just took a lot of bugging the city and getting people to show up at meetings but we made it happen!

I really wish we could get a few more pump tracks in parks around the valley. They are small, relatively cheap, and riders of all ages seem to enjoy them. Most local parks have acres and acres of open grass areas that could be put to better use.

Cool :-) City close to where I live will build a bikepark for young girls and boys. Or farr all. But kids and young will use it for free. Grownups will pay for use.
Town is Falun. We had MTB competitions here. So we allready have MTB tracks, and one of Europes finest Winter ans summer sports arena with all from indor bandy to ski jump. Worldcup skieing. And soon a bikepark too. Well, shreder Emil Johansson studied and live here too :-) Cooooool :-)
