    We wanted to include our longer description that has been shared on other channels to give some more context for this reel. Thanks for all of the positivity everyone!
    *****
    But will they actually remember that?? Actually, they probably will!
    Even though your kid might not remember the specific details of a family trip or outing with Dad, they will carry the emotional content of those adventures through life!
    There are two types of memory: explicit and implicit
    Explicit memory is when you consciously recall something, like the name of your first school or parents birthday.
    Implicit memory is when you remember something without consciously thinking about it, like how to ride a bike. This also includes more of an unconscious, emotional recollection.
    Your 2-year-old remembering you threw rocks in the water on your camping trip? Explicit.
    The warm, fuzzy feelings when you talk about going camping again? Implicit.
    So the next time you look at your preschooler and think, “They’ll never remember this,” you’re right, they probably won’t remember things explicitly.
    BUT take comfort in the fact that just because they won’t have total recall of these early years, they will remember the important things that make them better people: parents take care of you, and the world is an exciting place to explore.
    And remember, there are lots of ways to create memories with your kids. I like camping and backpacking so that’s just one of the things we do. Do whatever works for your family and enjoy the journey!
    See you out on the trail! ✌️

      The older humans get, the more clearly the first memories come into focus.
      What'd I have for breakfast? No idea.
      Grabbing a fish (probably old or sick one) out of a stream when I was 3 years old? I remember it clearly (but there was also a super-8 film of it). Grandpa probably put it there for me to grab (fishing trip).😊🤯🐠 ALSO he'll remember it. Great memory either way

      @@whyisitsodifficultomakeahandle are you old man or young person, it’s not clear what you say. Children in my view are supposed to be ignorant and selfish. It’s their time to take up space and sprout root, to consume everything in order to bear fruit. And it’s the parents job not to criticize but impart that missing knowledge. The parents time to shine is already over, if the child doesn’t know how to love, it’s the parents job to teach it. To say a child is ignorant or selfish is simply the adult forgetting what it meant to be a child and not taking the responsibility and time to teach but simply shift blaming the limitations of said parents onto the children. I don’t know how to clean the child, therefore he is a messy child, I don’t know how to teach him skills, therefore he is useless and stupid. I know and live longer than them but didn’t spend time to elaborate on the world, therefore they are ignorant. Like c’mon man, it’s shift blame projection. It’s the parents job to make the child more knowledgeable and capable. To simply criticize them as incapable is simply lazy 0 accountability behaviour. What you expect a child to be all knowing and do all the house chores for you? Then the roles will be switched, why would they know better if it’s never taught and why would they comply when all you do is focus on your work and criticize them every time you see them. They be clandestinely signalling their fingers. Then the parents complain you have no clue how hard I work for you, you’re so ungrateful, you don’t know how the world works, there’s kids in Africa starving. Blah blah blah. That’s guilt shaming, fake martyrdom, and blaming the child for all your woes. That’s disgusting. Abuse of power, when you’re the boss and you know your employees rely on you for paycheque you can vent all your frustrations on them calling them useless and all sorts of degrading terms because you know they won’t fight back, exactly the same dynamic is played out by the parent at home. So it’s not that the child is ignorant, it is that the parent has not done their job to bond and educate. Criticism is not education, it’s blaming when you have failed to teach prior to the task given. Stubborn is a great trait I myself have it, if placed on the correct use it’s a powerful thing, the only reason why it’s bad it’s because the parents are ridged and are just as unbending. There’s a thought, I’m older I’m the parent therefore do as told. Authoritarianism leads to rebellion. Compliment the steel instead and bend it like the sword, and it will conquer the world. So children may be ignorant but parents are ample arrogant, pretentious in knowing the best. Being green and stubborn are successful traits to be had, it’s just rubs narcissists the wrong way.

    The best memories I have are of my Dad taking me up to London. Just me and him. We would go up on the train, walk through London seeing all the sites, go to the Museums, and then walk back to the train station and go home. He would take the day off from work (especially so that we could go up during the week and thr tourist areas would be quiet) - it was great sharing those days out with him,he taught me a lot about the things that most people dont see around London. Was always the best day. Funny, i rarely remember the trip home, probably fell asleep due to all the walking we did. Those memories are Priceless and worth more than anything money could buy! This bond keeps children safer from any mental and emotional trauma they can go through. @@internetuser969 ngl she seemed happy, no? how is it any different to using ur money to cater to an audience, ur family, ur pets, your skills, its called content and its always gonna base around something, funny cat videos, super duper cool climbing skills, family videos, and lets not forget that he is her dad, he pays the bills and pays for his daughter's life, and he does it happily, no strings attatched, but so what if he makes a nice family video, posts it on yt and makes a little cash out of it, some people like watching these wholesome clips and when she grows up, if she is raised as well as it looks, she wont think 'ugh, how dare he record me and use me for views.' also, squeezing for cash? what the hell are you talking about, does she look at all pressured or concerned about this?

    • @internetuser969
      @internetuser969 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@justascrub8383 oh it's fine using your skills, and sure if you want to just record your cat, that animal is never going to reach a point in they're life where they realised they were used for the purposes of making content to make cash, I personally put a child's right to privacy above a cat's. As for not seeming pressured we honestly have no idea what's going on behind the scenes, I doubt this was all done in one take so very easy to chuck any clips where they don't are unhappy, though maybe currently the child is ok with it, as they don't really know what the implications are of these family youtubers (sadly their best consumers are... VERY interested in children) then the idea that daddy took her out for a camping trip, not for her sake, but the sake to display it to his audience, kind of has a messed up Truman show aspect to ones childhood. Ultimately looks can be deceiving, so you just have to ask, is he doing this special camping trip purely for his daughter, or was it for a TH-cam video?

    • @justascrub8383
      @justascrub8383 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@internetuser969 ok so i will first say that no, we dont know what behind the scenes and i have no way to argue that because im not there, but i also never said it's purely for his daughter, or denied that maybe he makes a bit of cash out of it, its a bloody child of course she will be unhappy at points, maybe when discomforted, why would he add them in when it doesn't mean that she hates being there. As a first year outdoor adventure student around the coast, trips like this where they just camp can be a core memory and a reason why we do our outdoor activities, Alex Honnold, the one who free soloed El Captain, a bloody legend, he was climbing since he was 5, he didnt just think, oh, lets go climb a mountain 2,300 metres high because why not, but because it was a memory in his childhood. This may very well be some kinda content only thing for content, but it didnt seem to me like he was giving her any discomfort. We NEED kids to go outside with their families to get active rather than staying in front of a screen all day playing fortnite and screaming on a mic bc you died. Just because of that i can tell he is doing better at showing her the world than any of those parents who allow their kids to do that. You say it as if the child is being stripped and put on an illegal porn site when you say you value her privacy, that would be a differnt story altogether.
