This brings me back a few years when I installed a Mustang 2 front end in my 68 coupe. I ended up building a set of aluminum inner fenders which I was quite pleased with actually. I really enjoy your videos Kiwi.

It's not about 1/16 of a inch, it's about quality of the work. Being anal about the dimensions keeps you in a mindset of not cutting corners everywhere. That's proper craftsmanship! Awesome results

If someone could invent some clamps that are self adjusting and easy to release with one hand. They could make a fortune. Cause anyone who does any kind of metal work knows just how frustrating it is to get those Vise-Grip type clamps to cooperate. Especially when you're trying to adjust and line up panels. They're always either too loose to hold, or too tight to release. It can drive you mad. Luckily I'm already mad, so...😂.
Anyway, love watching the master at work. I don't have the means or facility to do much fabrication. But I enjoy being able to at least see it being done.
    Thanks for sharing Kiwi

A lot of shops have computerized measuring systems nowadays. I wonder if you could find a used set of self centering datum gauges to ensure your rail replacement were true. If your foundation is correct, as you say, you know you are on the right track. Keep up the good work.

It's nice having another car for reference. I bought a second 69 Dart when I restored mine. It was all rusted and I only gave $250 for it. Got some interior parts and a good instrument cluster from it, added bonus. When you go on time lapse....I call that "Kiwi's playhouse mode". 😂

The torque boxes are the single biggest improvement you can make on an early mustang!! It's a zinc one, I'll have to check on the brand. Hole punch is off EBay go for one with the 5/16 punch, the cheap ones are usually only 1/4. Big difference !!
