Omg man..that is absolutely amazing I have already text my man at work to let him know we are making a few of these for the kids and us..i just found ur channel a few days ago .have watch quite a few.we love to be outdoors camping.just love ur videos.hugs from Ohio....
You seem to have almost all the bases covered... You might want to consider a small compressor for tire inflation if you should need to air down for a wider track, such as for snow and soft sand... Nice video, thanks for sharing
You have a really good combination of gear in your bugout bag! I can tell you put a lot of thought into what to carry. I recently bought a 45 liter backpack and have my gear all laid out on the living room floor while I am trying to decide what to put where. I think I will re-watch this video several times and that should help me pack all my stuff. I hope so.
Nice collection of stuff, I have the same generic 50ltr in coyote with a couple extra pouches attached and it weighs about 12-15kg loaded up as when I left civilised life for a few months, however nowadays I use a karrimor 60ltr pack and colour coded pouches for organizing, so far I've pretty much lived from it for six months even in my flat lol apparently I am not as civilised as most folks.
Very nice set up. It's comprehensive and well thought out. It has useful kit that you'll need without a lot of "fluff". I like seeing bags with good med kits and yours has one. The only things I might add are an additional full tang backup knife stainless, a steel or titanium cup and some sort of a mini stove. I like biomass stoves because you don't have to carry any type of fuel with you. Anyway...Great kit and thanks for the info.
bril b o b mine is much the same and i was quite amused to see you had things i had randomly picked (the map bag been one of them!) nice thing is that as long as you can think what might/will be a problem your off! mine is a bit more jumbled but covers everything i could think of (and some i couldnt lol) and is in a 30 litre bog standard backpack, not camping type, just the type you would carry to work for instance! yea its heavy but it was an extreme budget bugout bag, i didnt have much choice (plus walking round with something looking military in an urban environment is just going to attract attention! unlike most preppers i dont drive so i needed what i needed with me in that bag so i can walk a fair distance until i need to stop... a car would take me further followed by the walk! my first aid kit is big and light but covers tons of possible problems... even down to an israli bandage (well you never know do you?!), burn spray, bug spray, heat pads etc. i just think over what i used to get injured with when i was younger and cover those bases, then things now, then possibles! expect the worst, prep for the best!
Thanks Geoff, sounds good and right for your needs buddy. Im going to take out my version 2 bag soon for an overnighter and really put it to the test :)
Great kit you have there! I may have missed it, but, I didn't see a water filtration kit. I see you have a fishing kit, but, how about also getting a few body grip or foothold traps to catch live wild land game? We also have heirloom vegetable seeds and sprouting seeds in our kit. Safety glasses to protect your eyes is a MUST, and salt is very important to have. If I were you, I would beef up the sleeping and shelter gear to a more robust one. You may not be able to carry a gun where you live, and I understand if that is why you may not have mentioned it. Lastly, if you don't have a means to re-charge your batteries, I'd recommend getting some solar lights. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, Thanks for your suggestions, definitely some valid concerns. I am currently re evaluating my kit / bag and some of the above will be addressed. Thanks for watching :) ATB
You do love a hand warmer lol Where I am its ok. Previously I lived 700m above sea level. Ir gets cold at that height snow etc here. Must admit I loved a hand warmer there and small hot water bottles on inner pockets lol
Hi Peter, I've been thinking the exact same thing lately! Just got a new pack and changed contents so there could be a couple of new vids in the works soon. Thanks for watching.
Think I'd put the sas guide in a waterproof bag to keep it safe, on my bag I put a first aid sign in the first aid kit pouch so if you are in an accident and unconscious if anybody finds you and your bag they know that it's a first aid pouch, love those military tin openers, I had two, list em both :( I also got a metal whistle as I wasn't sure of the durability of a plastic one!
i dont mean to offend at all but i must say for ur best intrest step up ur bag game ....bugout for a grown man should be atleast 5000 cubic in..i have had elberlestock warhammer, hillpeople quia, and now exo mountaineering and i must say exo far surpasses my expectations...top quality hand made but pricey .....buy once cry once.....$535 but your bag is the most important part of ur loadout period then boots so on and so forth...but those bags u have would do u good if u got two weeks ...for a bugout or inch bag i hate to tell u u wont make it they are super uncomfortavle ive had both ....i challenge u to go on a 10 mile hike 1once a month youll see what im saying your bag is your life bcause u are carrying ur life on ur back ....hope this inspires u to change ur pack .dont have to get mines but i truly know what im talkin about ...
Hi, no offence taken, we all have our opinions :) I've actually been considering down sizing of late... I do hike and camp quite often and yes it definitely does help i agree. I guess it all comes down to what a bag is for.. mine being for an emergency night out etc. There will be an update vid on this topic soon as I have removed unnecessary gear for a better sleep system. Thanks for watching.
thanks for understanding bro but checkem out they have 24. 48 and 72 hr packs titanium frame that can be removed from pack to carry heavy loads or a injured person bsck to ur basecamp...thanks my american brother n arms
You've got some nice kit mate, not terribly different from my own. Mine includes my hunting rifle and ammunition for it as well, although I realize in the U.K. (And many parts of the world) that part may prove problematic
thanks :) I am hoping to get a licence in the next year as I have done a lot of shooting in the past both here and over seas. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
Great bug out bag !! the fishing kit I'm however I have some misgivings about " it will do for now " ? Ummm if you have time I uploaded a vlog concerning" survival fishing kits "
3:53 I like the mindset of *repurposing* containers (tictac case)....well done like how you found new kits at hotels..lol ...I am similiar with restaurants and their spice package options..lol 3:30 Garden trimmer saws are good in a pinch..but not good for long term, I find. 13:08 why the sunscreen lotion? I thought UK was mostly cloudy weather ?
Hotels / restaurants are great for camping / single serving type things.. love em :) - as my bags are multifunctional (good for when you forget things on an overnighter etc) I figure the sun screen could come in handy one day... in that 2 week window of sun we usually get haha... because we don't have much sun in the UK I think sun damage is higher than in hot countries due to people not being used to the sun.. or so I hear.
Interesting...I never thought about the Minimal exposure to instant sun exposure affects. That makes sense, since UK folk are mostly acclimated to low sun ray conditions..thanks for the education ..cheers
Thanks.. there is an update to this video. the sleeping bag is by ozark trail, its a summer bag but better than none in a pinch (I keep clothes in the truck too), I can't remember the tarp.. Its a small cheap one, probably very similar to a army basha (which is probably a better choice to be honest.
Thank you. The first aid kit is in the pockets from an amazon kit (I think 90 piece). I cut it from the outer bag to make it fit better in this pocket. Thank you for watching.
The smaller one branded mil-tec appears to be all over eBay and ali express, sometimes under different names, the Large unbranded bag I am currently using was from eBay but I think its the same as the 50l military rucksack on ali.
...and I still have people telling me I need a 100l bag haha, I have recently downsized this bag and improved the sleep system so an update vid will follow in the next month. Thanks for watching
s'all good :) there is a lot of 'fake' people out there and its hard to gauge what someone actually does from 1 or 2 vids. Thanks for watching.. hope you enjoy the other vids mate!

So this is where the all began. You have come a long way 👍
You have a really good combination of gear in your bugout bag! I can tell you put a lot of thought into what to carry. Awesome as always Andy.
This is probably the best all rounder BOB I've seen. I'll be using this vid for mine. Thx👍

Thanks for the comment and feedback. I do have an esbit that i carry with the bag but might add a hobo inside. Thanks again
That bag is like a TARDIS, incredible amount of items. 👍

Excellent, excellent kit, sir. Clearly well thought of
It's a good bit of kit especially for a general use vehicle bag. Got all the bases covered.
Thank you, sure ill change it up a bit before long :) ATB - Andy
"a good pair of tactical gloves. these are very handy." i just got that haha! brilliant mate, i now know who i'd rather get stranded with lol.

I've purchased the sawyer mini water filter for my kits. They are climbing in price but are well worth the investment.
Excellent point on the safety glasses. Can't recommend them highly enough. Over all, you've made some very good points.
You do love a hand warmer lol
Where I am its ok. Previously I lived 700m above sea level. Ir gets cold at that height snow etc here. Must admit I loved a hand warmer there and small hot water bottles on inner pockets lol
I do indeed, I love throwing a couple in my sleeping bag before I get in it in the winter.. takes off the edge haha
Hi, it would be cool if you did a 48 hour camp out with just your bug out bag to see how it all works!? Thanks
Hi Peter, I've been thinking the exact same thing lately! Just got a new pack and changed contents so there could be a couple of new vids in the works soon. Thanks for watching.
Hi Kent survival, sounds good, will keep a look out for the new video! Great channel!

Great bag , gave me a few ideas,
Thanks, Glad it helped, this is now a four year old progression and has changed since this video, its such an organic process.
wow very very complete
Excellent set up there
thanks :)

Excellent bag!

nice job - thansk for sharing. Do you consider a crank radio helpfull to add?? ciao
very good
I’m not sure if I missed it but you don’t seem to have included salt. Multi purpose, light, compact.
Do you replace your food items regularly so they don't get "old"?
Great bug out bag !! the fishing kit I'm however I have some misgivings about " it will do for now " ? Ummm if you have time I uploaded a vlog concerning" survival fishing kits "
awesome, laods of stuff!
Thanks, there is an update video now if you wanted to check it out.

Hi fantastic bit of kit. Where did you get your first aid bag from. PF
Thank you. The first aid kit is in the pockets from an amazon kit (I think 90 piece). I cut it from the outer bag to make it fit better in this pocket. Thank you for watching.

PF
I'd quite like to see an update on this considering it has been 4 years and you seem to have grown a lot as an outdoorsman
Hi, I did an update on my bag after this one (basically a new bag), which is still basically current but im thinking of a refresh soon :)
Whats the silicon gell for?
wow the bag have exactly the same design as the PARATUS 3 DAY OPERATOR’S PACK from 3v gear.
Just had a look, it certainly does.. however the Paratus 3 looks a hell of a lot more comfortable and better made. Thanks for watching.
🔥👌👌
Finally, someone who packs tampons....good on you....[[|:-)'
Now you are 5 years on, have you changed your mind on what you now know is worth keeping in a bag

Sorry for soundin like a t₩at, love the campin out vids mate
Al Trawf now cos you have been rude to him you expect him to be nice cos you realised you were been an arse sawed off

No smelling Salts ?
I do have some in the first aid stuff.. not sure if I had them back then though.. thanks for the suggestion
are the bags from aliexpress?
The smaller one branded mil-tec appears to be all over eBay and ali express, sometimes under different names, the Large unbranded bag I am currently using was from eBay but I think its the same as the 50l military rucksack on ali.
Toilet paper?
Lightweight camping, eh? You have enough firemaking equipment for at least two years.
...and I still have people telling me I need a 100l bag haha, I have recently downsized this bag and improved the sleep system so an update vid will follow in the next month. Thanks for watching
condoms?
I hope if the world ends its people like us who make it.
Sorry pall, didnt mean to be rude
s'all good :) there is a lot of 'fake' people out there and its hard to gauge what someone actually does from 1 or 2 vids. Thanks for watching.. hope you enjoy the other vids mate!
Aren't you afraid you're making your self a target for when the SHTF by telling everybody what you have?
Not really.. it's more for realistic things such as a breakdown or getting snowed in
Got ya...cool
No offense big yin I think most of that stuff is a waste of time, bug out bags is American paranoia, I didn't see any long-term tools
no offence, its not meant as a long term survival thing, just the odd snow in etc
