I bet you did have a very relaxing time knitting on your Texas trip. And to be surprised with a new yarn shop while you were there. Those types of trips are the best. Love watching your podcasts while knitting. I feel like I am having a knit night with you. All of Danielle’s bags are so very nice! Love the watermelon bag! ❣️🧶

So many finished items! Lilly is going to love her birthday cardigan. So blessed to have her lovely Aunt Kayla!🎉🎉I think the Bankhead Hat would be fabulous for the Shelter yarn and it’s free on Ravelry! The West 7th yarn definitely has Musselburgh written all over it!!!❤❤❤

Love the t-shirt! The Anthology Throw is looking more beautiful every time you share it. I love the Alice's Embrace Project. They'll often share photos of when they deliver all the throws and such. To see the joy from the recipients is so heartwarming. I'm sure your Church recipients feel the same. Happy Knitting!

That cardigan is soooo Adorable❣️. I am so glad you had a Great time in Texas. When I traveled for work I would always google what yarn stores are close by, so my stash is full of memory yarn ❤️. I am so amazed at how much you do in a weeks time!!! Our kids grow up too dang quick and even though my kids are grown and have their own children now, you brought me back in time when I felt the same thing you are feeling now with no ‘school shuttle’ - hearts going out to ya gal ❤

Oh Kay, thank you so much for teaching me how to make socks as We were driving around on our UK holiday! I am now totally addicted and it’s all your fault, but for that I say thank you. Now I am keen to sew other projects not just socks because I have had so much fun! Now I am looking at other projects to make! No idea what yet!
You have really given me the confidence I was lacking!
    Thank you Pauline

The watermelon 🍉 project bag is lovely. Thank You for gifting the bag. I’m currently working on my first pair of vanilla socks for Summer Camp. My daughter starts grade 12 in September, so I totally understand how you are feeling about your boys getting older. Have a wonderful day.

Lilly's cardigan is lovely. And all the socks, of course. I loved knitting my Anthology Throw and am planning to knit more of them. I found it so enjoyable and soothing. I'm glad your trip was so relaxing and wonderful. And I can't believe school has already started for your boys.

Seeing Lily's sweater completed makes me want to make both of my granddaughters one. You were a busy bee with all of the completed projects, wow! Love the ribbed socks for your mother in law. I like a snug to the foot sock. Not tight, just socks that cling. I agree with you on the gray color for the after thought heel socks, unless you can find a yellow to match the thin lines. Happy to hear you had a nice trip and it's always great to watch a new episode

Love all your finished objects! Especially Lilly’s birthday present!! And I’m glad you got yarn on your trip 😊 I’ve decided to buy at least a skein of special yarn when I travel. I visited a dear friend in Milwaukee and while there she took me to a yarn store where I bought a local yarn dyer’s sock yarn. I think I’m going to make a hat for this winter.
Loving the anthology! I might have to try one of those. I laughed when you said you cast on everything with advent knitting. I loved keeping up with that, too!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Love Lily's sweater, going to have to get the patterns for a 3yr old &18yr old granddaughters. The 18yr old granddaughter started her 1st day of college yesterday and her Dad (our oldest son) had the same feelings as you. He remembers the sweet 3yr old baby that he took to the park. ballet lessons, and school so your not alone with the tears. It's all good though, they will thrive and be ok. Love your sharing your life with us. The watermelon bag is AWESOME!!!

Love all the socks. It amazes me how much you can do with the row one mini’s. I’m currently working on 3 blankets just from 10gms and will start a 4th one later. One granny hexagon, cozy memories and Triangulum blanket. With what’s left over I want to make a magic ball and make a Jelly blanket

Love watching, lilys cardigan is so cute!! I will have to make one for my daughter, she’s 2 and asking me to make her stuff 🥹 currently in my season of sneaking knitting in when I can but trying not to stress about it. Working on scrappy blankets with acrylic yarn, and a bralette with some organic cotton yarn. The watermelon bag makes me want to take knitting on a picnic!

I’ve been envious of your yarnable subscription for quite awhile and I finally signed up. This was the first one I received and it was so fun to get something in the mail. Thank you for sharing all your makes. Your niece is a very lucky girl, she will love her cardigan. I am still working on my Aurora cabin shawl by Stephen West and like you I am trying to work on it daily stitch counts are increasing so 1 row at the moment usually takes a half an hour. I’m a mum of 3 boys aged 25,23, 12, and a girl age 17 years. It is strange to have more free time as they get older, it is hard to slow down and focus on yourself when you have been so preoccupied with family and rearing children for years, enjoy this transition and the new teen/ adult relationships you will have with your kids. Greetings from Dublin. 💜

I'm glad you had a lovely trip away and that you're still loving EPP! I love all the socks. I was working on my EPP quilt top whilst watching, I am almost finished attaching the last row, and then I have to back, hand quilt, and bind. I'm really excited to be almost finished. Know the feeling when drop off and pick up stops... Almost feel "redundant". But now I have role reversal with my daughter calling me to ask if I need a lift home from work (she drives past on her way home). I usually walk to and from work, to get in some exercise. So the talks are "back on" again 🥰

I can totally relate with your feelings regarding school drop off, although that season won't start for me until my daughter gets a car, its close and I know how it will be bittersweet. I enjoy English paper piecing and think I too will make some coasters, making them for the seasons will be fun! Have a great day!

Oh my goodness! I can’t believe Lilly is going to be eight. I told you out of desperation I am watching all of your podcasts. I am up to episode 68. It has been so interesting. It started almost 7 years ago and now I’m at 4 years ago. It does get confusing. I get caught up and want to join in. Then I remember. Lilly was just a baby. You have ‘recently’ moved from North Carolina to Arizona again. It’s a lot of fun to know you then and watch you and the family grow. Thank you.

I forgot to ask you. How many project bags do you have? Oh my, I would expect a solid wall of cubbies just for bags.

Kay, Your makes are lovely. Thanks for always thoughtfully putting together such wonderful episodes. I look forward to spending time with you every week. Enjoy the back to school season! I am the mother of two sons, too, and helping them grow up into good men has been such a pleasure. I hope you are finding this stage of motherhood to be the same. ❤❤

Oh my, that sunflower yarn! My first grandbaby was born on August 5th which was the first National Sunflower Day. I would really love to get my hands on a hank and make something for him. Hmm... I wonder if there are ever extra skeins available...

I am on row 40 of the leg of my very first vanilla sock on 9 in circulars. I am so excited. Taking it slow!! Could really use a project bag to put my sock in. Thanks for your pattern and tutorials.

I alway enjoy listening and seeing your projects. I was derailed from summer sock camp by a new grandbaby. I stopped to knit the Newborn Vertabrae for him. Then I knit a hat and perfect Newborn socks!

Working on Sock Camp Picnic socks as I watch today. The left cross stitch was a new one for me, your video was very helpful.
As a relatively new South Carolina resident I enjoy reading local authors. Currently reading the Carolina Slade Mystery series by C Hope Clark. Great summer reading!
