Le Poke haha it was pretty painful not gonna lie. But the one that hurt the worst was the gainer where I landed on my heels.

Currently recovering from my first injury related to this sport in 5 years of training...back in January I fully hyperextended my knee on a trampoline doing a swing through off a flash kick. My knee dislocated, my ACL, PCL, Meniscus, Postereolateral all tore completely, severed an artery, and had nerve damage in my foot which now doesn’t work fully. I’ve been in therapy for 2 months now but still can’t walk. I’m hopeful that I can walk in time to at least show up for the Lace Up Tour in Philly or New York.

@@spectre3257 Physically, I am actually. Basically had a full recovery! Took the whole year but most of my mobility has returned and my foot is surprisingly good as new. Haven't returned to training cause well....life got in the way but I do intend to. Thank you for the well wishes 🙏! Really appreciate it 😊
Edit: I did also make it to the Lace Up Tour stop in Dallas!

Playing football in High School I was a Kicker/punter. During a 4th down punt, after punting the ball away with my kicking leg still in the air I was tackled except all of the force of the tackle was on my support leg. I received a dislocated knee as a partying gift from the opposing player. Then another time I kicked the ball away on a kickoff, the receiving player got past all our special teams players and I was the last player between him and the goal, I tried to dive tackle him and the force of him running and me diving at him, his leg made contact with my arm and I got a compound fracture in my arm. I've had a few other bad bone injuries not related to football but I won't drag on.

Sydney Olson There is some crazy injuries but football players have pads and play on grass, you don't have pads when your training or filming on concrete. But whatever you do, don't ever get a compound fracture if you already haven't, seeing your bone outside of your skin is much much worse than just breaking something

A little over a decade ago I received a Jones Fracture in my right foot. I was simply running into surf and stepped on an irregularity in the ocean bottom. With all the landing on various surfaces that Parkour athletes encounter, I'm wondering if this is a somewhat common injury among them?
When I received the injury, the typical treatment was a surgery that inserted a large diameter screw down the hollow shaft of the metatarsal to reduce the fracture. This often was successful, but for many athletes, there could be a subsequent fracture later at the tip of the screw closer to the distal end of the bone.
My surgeon was piloting a new technique that did not use the single large screw, but instead added a Titanium plate over the fracture with two small Titanium screws in each part of the broken bone. I've never had a problem with the repaired bone, and I've always wondered if this new surgery, which had been used for a few professional athletes in the Seattle area, became a more popular solution. Besides the elimination of future fractures at the end of the screw, typical healing time was reduced from approximately 12 weeks to 6.

I broke 6 bones in my left foot from stepping off a 3 inch curbside. I that went shopping at Target thinking it was just sore and bruised. So after 24 hours my foot turned purple and blue so to the ER we went. I walked in to the ER on my very broken foot. The doctor said that he did not see how I was walk fully on it and not passing out from pain. Took 12 weeks in a cast than a walking boot. Funny how a 3 inch curbside can hurt you.

Hi Sidney, you're amazing. :) When i was 15 or so, i jumped from a flight of stairs and sliced my neck open on a tiny wire that was hanging above them. It was almost invisible, and i never saw it coming, i just felt my neck slamming into something mid air and next thing i knew i woke up laying on concrete with a bloody shirt, and people standing in a circle all around me looking terrified. Some guy said that i hit the back of my head very hard when i fell down and went unconscious for a while. Doctors later said i was lucky that wire didn't slice through jugular, otherwise i would have... you know, probably bleed to death. Before the jump i had a strange feeling that i shouldn't be doing this, but i did anyway and it didn't go too well. So, if you have a strong feel that you shouldn't be doing something that can be dangerous, don't do it, you never know what can happen.

Genuine question, are you worried about the toll this is all taking on your body?
Your hands already have arthritis and I don't know if there is a correlation but more stress and injury on other parts of body like your ankles could bring about more long term damage?
I'm still young so I want to preserve what's left of my body and keep it agile in the future so just wanted to hear your thoughts on all that
