Using Stocked Trout to Catch Big Flathead and Channel Catfish! (2024 Schuylkill River Catfish Trip)

- Before going with my friends to catch some big Schuylkill River catfish, I went to my local creek to catch some bait! I caught some finicky stocked trout and shiners to use as catfish bait. At night, cut trout turned out to be great bait and got more bites than the shiners and sunfish. Hope you enjoy the video!
Trout Gear:
Rod: Okuma Celilo, UL, 6'6, 2 Pieces
Reel: Shimano Nasci 500
Line: Berkley Vanish 4lbs test Fluorocarbon line
Bait/terminal tackle: Mustad size 8 j-hook Tipped with Nightcrawlers or canned corn.
Catfish Gear:
Rod: Penn Persuit 10' MH Surf Rod, Jigging World Nexus 7' MH Rod
Reel: Penn Slammer 4500, Shimano Stradic 4000
Line: Sufix 832 30 lb Braided Line with 50 lb Fluorocarbon Leader, Sufix 832 20 lb Braided Line with 30 lb Monofilament Leader
Bait/terminal tackle: Slip sinker rig with 2 oz egg sinker and 6/0 gamakatsu circle hooks using cut trout, live shiners, and live sunfish.
