How did you get your overhangs so clean? Also did you not have issues with cranshaft snapping? When I print my engine's crankshaft (in parts), I have to add a bolt running through the parts center to prevent them from breaking. To be fair i run mine well above that 20 psi, and for me issues start above 40-60 psi.
@@manganeseheptoxide7825 Hi, the crankshaft was printed in bambustudio with standard settings but a compleate wall thinkness. with regards to the strength of thease crankshafts, Ive tested my polcarbonate crankshafts up to 3NM of torque without breaking. but it did suffer a perminent deflection of 5 degrees (at 3NM) I built a basic test rig for testing crankshafts. I imagine the PLA crankshafts have similar strength. the crankshaft in the video snapped becasue I dropped the engine imediatly after i built it lol
Good luck fella, Geoff Howell put me onto you, subbed!...3D printing is awesome.
Thanks!
Are stls available?
I keen to see how you have built the heads and valves
Well done Dom keep up with the obsession!
Thanks, will do
Really good Dominic!
Pov, engineering students on spring break 😅
That's the coolest thing iv seen in a long time!
where can i find stl files?
インテークマニホールドとエキゾーストマニホールドはオリジナルの設計ですか?すでに存在した設計ですか?
Can you make one with an oil pump to lubricate the inside of the engine?
How did you print the crankshaft? I assume it was verticaly from the layer steps. Did you use support material? Excellent engine
Yes, I printed it vertically but I did not use a different material for the support. Thanks!

Amazing engine, how did you make the valves? conventional or rotary?
ロータリータイプのバルブで駆動してると私も思いました。4気筒なのはそれが原因だと思います。
Good one Dom. Taul Paul
how do you keep it running?? air compressor??
Hi, for the tests i use a set of 7 bottles for a total of 14 liters and pressurise it with a bike pump
I would like to see your head design. I am interested in making one of these.
Show us the disassembled head please.
use an air compressor
