Thank you again for this very interesting episode. I always enjoy your podcast very much. I wish you a year 2024 full of great moments with the family and friends and great knitting projects and discoveries.
Thank you Selma for the joy you brought during 2023. I'm looking forward every time for next episode. Hope the 2024 will bring us more love and peace. Hug from Prague. R❤❤❤
A big thank you from me to you for this year i am watching you. Thanks for your time. You make me feel a little better by watching you. I am a knitting widow since 22 and it a hard work to find me in my new life. I am knitting and so much more, it is so good for my damaged brain and heart. You inspires to cast on😅. Big hug
Big hugs to you too, Selma ❤ sending the bestest wishes for the coming year to you and your family. Looking forward to your new explorations in some different creative avenues. I enjoy water colours too, not that I have touched my brushes for some time ... I've been wanting to get back to my painting and I hope you do too. ❤
First time watching your podcast, I enjoyed seeing all your sweaters. My favorite would be the blue(gray?)and white stripe, DRK every day sweater. It looked so nice on you, and I just loved the simplicity of it.
Thanks for sharing all ur knitting shenanigans throughout 2023 - the trips, the scenery, the walks, the acquisitions, et al. It’s been a great year knitting along with you. Thanks for inspiring so many of us. Wishing you the very best in 2024. And yes, I did watch your interview on little knits. Just Wow!❤❤❤🎉🎊🎉🍾🥂😊
Lovely to see all of your knits together in one place. Have to say the Corran carridgan looks beautiful on you. That blue is really a great colour on you. Happy new year and hope it is filled with a year of wonderful knitting and best wishes to you and all your family.
Love your podcast, Selma, particularly love the family noises, so cute. I think your new word for 2024 should be “colour” because you mentioned it in a lot of your plans. Happy New Year to you and your family.
I really enjoyed your recap. Makes me want to go and look at all my sweaters again. It’s not been really cold here in Chicago so I have only worn a few. I’m think of making a summer sweater so I’ll Have it for spring. happy new year.
Oh ! I had forgotten the SCRAPPY STASHY MAL was still on, I'll go check what eveyone's made since I last been there. Fell in the rabbit hole ... I am back 3 hours later ... Selma, this pink slipover really suits your complexion, no wonder you wear it so much. Congratulations for all this sweater knitting in 2023, I remember you also knitted socks and accessories. I always find so much inspiration in your podcast. THANK YOU ! I will see if my pregnant daughter is interested in a Coorie In Poncho, I'd love to knit one for her, might try to find a way to make it a bit longer in the front. I wish you and all your loved ones the best for 2024, may this year allow you to realize one of your deepest wish. Once again inspired by you, I choose KINDNESS as my word for 2024, will carry it in heart, words and actions.
I really enjoy your videos and I like the "family noises". That's your video signature!. This time it was extra, as it should be for the year's end. I especially liked the dueling meows, lol. May you, Yoda, and your family have a wonderful 2024.
A lovely way to start my day. Adding a few projects to my “to knit” list! Happy New Year! May 2024 be one of your best ever years (that includes some Kate time!!😬)!
Even though it's fewer than you'd normally do, I think 24 items in a year is fantastic. I especially liked the Salty Air Tee and Coorie In Poncho. Too bad about the blue staining the white on your striped sweater, though the gray stripes look just fine to me! And, that's a lovely new mug :) I'm a beginner knitter but I've been practicing watercolor a little bit over the last couple of years, and it's felt really rewarding. I hope you give it a try and share your experience with us.
For Auld Land Syne is a beautiful song and perfect for finishing your video. Your house is so cozy and pretty and Yoda is soooooooooo funny nipping at that wrapping paper. Thanks for sharing your year's knitting and your new plans and ideas. You are very inspiring. I wish you and yours a very healthy 2024 with lots of fun and creativity. xoxo
The thing I really like about you Selma is that, you tell it straight! You like it, you don't like it and why. I can tell that you're not a hater, so if you don't like something there isn't any heat accompanying your comments. We need more people like you! Happy New Year! Be well!❤
Best wishes for 2024. Dont know how you manage to knit 11 garments in a year. The pink vest looks lovely on you. Makes you glow. After visiting Europe 2019 from Australia. I realise how disadvantaged/isolated we are here in the southern hemisphere. I would love to go back and visit Spain and France properly. But our travel costs are high. Strength is something many have found after the effects of Covid.
I was watching another knitters podcast and I was leaving the comment about her starting a new job.and my tv just starts another podcast which was your podcast and so when sent message it went under yours . Sorry for confusion
Love all your completed projects: what a great job! I would frog the vest, I find it looks too big and you would be able to make something else more wearable. I loved your entire year of sharing and look forward to 2024. I appreciate your honesty about yarns and patterns: find this helpful in choosing them. (maybe you just focused on knitwear) Did you forget to show your sewn projects? I know you made some lovely bags. You're a beautiful knitter and I so enjoy your episodes: keep up the great work!
Excellent video. What a wonderful range of sweaters. I like them all. Wish you all the best for the new year and looking forward to your coming videos and projects. Love from Germany
Those are some beautiful sweaters Selma and great colors for you too! Wishing you the best of everything in the New Year along with many more happy knits😊
Love your casual elegant style that shines through your pattern choices. I’m blown away by your productivity. Reconnecting was a thread throughout 2022 and 2023 for me -hadn’t fully realized how much of the Canadian in me had been forgotten until circumstances brought me home more frequently. Here’s to deepening those connections in the year ahead🥂. Happy New Year!
23 knitted items is nothing to sneeze at! Thanks for podcasting, I look forward to seeing and hearing about your knits and travels, and of course, Yoda. Happy New Year to you!
Dear Selma, I want to let you know that I have rarely heard your family. It is clear to me that you care very much about my listening experience. It is great! They seem to try had to creep around😁😁. Your interview on Fiberchats was a delight to watch. Thank you for all of the inspiration!💗
I really enjoyed hearing about all your makes for the year and what you liked or didn’t like about them. I have added a few of them to my Ravelry favorites. As for the blue you are looking for for the Stockholm Slipover, it sounds like a cornflower blue. I hope you find it! Happy New Year!
Hi Selma. Your finished sweaters and other knits are beautiful. I enjoy knitting like you, but I am not as skilled as you in following pattern, and I have not knitted a sweater yet, and maybe it is not something I can make as I have no one to ask questions how to make it; but I am blessed to have a few sweaters in the closet and they are not hand knitted. I have knitted beautiful blankets in the Rios yarn which is so nice for my daughter and my granddaughter who took it to her university and she has it on her bed. It is in dark purple and whit. I have a suggestion for you to make for your husband, and It is a scarf with an easy one row pattern and it is knitted in multiple of 4 stitches plus 2: and here is the one row pattern and it is K2, K1 in the back and P1. That is all. I am making one for an acquaintance gentleman and it is 50 inches wide and am making it 60 inches long. I am making it in olive green in wool with a 7 US needles. Thank you for showing your beautiful knits. You are very talented. Take Care. 😊
Thelma, I always enjoy your podcasts. You always make such beautiful and thoughtful vlogs. I really enjoyed recapping the year with you and learning more about you and all your interests. You are truly a beautiful 🤗 person. Thank you for these another wonderful vlogs this year. Happy New Year 🎊🎆 🎉 🤗
Selma, I also love the family noises in the background as some have already mentioned. Did your teen meow loud then meow quietly, because that was highly relatable. This is the realness that brings me back to spend time with you over and over. Wondering if you plan to make it to Knit City Toronto as one of your festivals this year? Or have you thought that far in advance? I missed out on a chat with you at Montreal KC 2023. I hope this year brings you more joy and self discovery!
well done on the productivity this year been an interesting podcast with you including videos of your travels wishing all of you a great 2024 keep taking care xxxxx
Hi! Really nice knitwears you did, esp this circle yoke pullover with stripes. But what I noticed and what I really liked it’s your cleavage, the way it seats beneath your neck. It’s highly flattering and it’s the way I like the most. Although I didn’t achieve this. Congratulations and be healthy in 2024 ❤
Thank you for this delightful recap! I love your honesty about what you like and dislike, we should only create and wear knits we feel our best in. We get experience and enjoyment in the knitting of the piece and if it’s a great fit as well, ahhh such a bonus! Happy New 2024🎉❤
Thank you, Selma, for this wonderful episode and all the ones you made this year that I’ve been enjoying a lot.I know you put a lot of time and energy creating them and I hope you know how much I enjoy knitting in your company! Happy New Year!
Thank you, dear for the Podcast. You are my finding if the year. Thank you for the great inspiration. I am watching all of your podcasts one after another. Such a source of joy. Happy new year and love from Germany. Birgit
Lovely show and so informative. I laughed when you said you had to go and feed your cat. I had thought it was my cat meowing and I was trying to locate her to see what the problem was. We had a lovely grey cat many years ago that looked very similar to your Yoda, her name was Cinder. Our latest cats have all been black since they are the most likely to not get homes. Happy New Year from BC. Looking forward to your future podcast.
Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year! I love all your knits, and your color pallet is like mine so I love all the colors. I can't wait to see what you knit in next year.
Happy new year I think my last message overlapped from a different podcast sorry. Loved your 2023 knits internet favorite pink vest and purple poncho.thanks
Love all your knits! You inspired me to knit the Salty Air Tee with the Illimami yarn I have bought because I have been wanting to try some wool/cotton or cotton/alpaca blends as opposed to always knitting with wool/merino. I agree with you on the color options of the Illimani yarn…they are mostly muted colors and I wish they had more colors. I think I am also going to knit the Tolsta Tee. I have some yarn from Germany that will prob work for this pattern. Thank you, Selma ❤
Selma I have to say that the colour of your stripey, finnish yarn, DRK Everyday Knits jumper is YOUR colour. It's a shame you are disappointed with the yarn as you should make much more in that colourway!
Thanks, Selma. Liked alot of your beautiful choices.
Thank you for being a guest of my channel Selma! It was lovely to chat with you! You’ve had a very productive year
