Dimash is a 29-year-old Kasakh vocalist and composer; he speaks kasakh, russian and english and is learning mandarin chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts, and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. Even if you don't understand the language he's singing in, he has the ability to suck you in for the ride. He has off the chart stage presence and fully commits to the song. I've been following this accout for a long time too, enjoying so many of his previous reactions and my advice is the same as yours. So many of the MV's are worth checking out, The Story Of One Sky, Know, Be With Me and more. Nothing wrong in checking out the old stuff but Dimash have evolved so much as an artist since then so I don't want those discovering Dimash today to get stuck back in 2017.

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Kobysz for that. The kobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021 (so he speaks also in Russian). This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable. Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship. It’s great that you want to continue to react to The Singer. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas. The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once. If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father. I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. BTW the audience is also the jury. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. Yes it is isn't it? Sometimes in concerts he wears socks that don't show above the shoes, then he takes his shoes off and climbs up the lighting gantry or slides across the floor in them. But one favourite thing he does for his Dears (fans) is get down into the audience at concerts and do a circuit through the stadium, singing at the same time and holding people's hands. With all due respect, I don't think this is a good recommendation at this point. A story of one Sky live performance can only be understood and appreciated to its full extent if one has seen the accompanying MV beforehand. This MV, in turn, is figuratively hard fare, and the accompanying music is not something to be consumed for pleasure. It has been awarded a medal by the Pope for this, so it is definitely not light music. I think it makes more sense to approach Dimash and his serious music slowly and to get an impression of his multifacetedness beforehand. Greetings from Germany. 🇩🇪❤️

He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I’m a real fan of movies that have such a mystical or oriental atmosphere. And it was such a great idea by Dimash to use the Kobysz for that.
The kobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the kobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter.
He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021 (so he speaks also in Russian). This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable.
Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship.

Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas.
The song is very famous and popular in China. The audience already knew what to expect, but were very surprised when Dimash raised the pitch three times. Vitas but only once.
If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father.
I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional.
BTW the audience is also the jury.
During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰.
I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. I think what's happening today in the world worries him a lot.

In some it is important to understand what the song is about. There are a lot of beautiful, sad and awesome songs to discover. Yes it is isn't it? Sometimes in concerts he wears socks that don't show above the shoes, then he takes his shoes off and climbs up the lighting gantry or slides across the floor in them. But one favourite thing he does for his Dears (fans) is get down into the audience at concerts and do a circuit through the stadium, singing at the same time and holding people's hands. Auch nach vielen Jahren finde ich diese Reaktionen einfach überwältigend - spiegeln sie doch meine eigenen Empfindungen wider. Man kann mit der Reihenfolge seiner Songs Keinen Fehler machen, jeder Song hat etwas besonderes.

With all due respect, I don't think this is a good recommendation at this point. A story of one Sky live performance can only be understood and appreciated to its full extent if one has seen the accompanying MV beforehand. This MV, in turn, is figuratively hard fare, and the accompanying music is not something to be consumed for pleasure. It has been awarded a medal by the Pope for this, so it is definitely not light music. I think it makes more sense to approach Dimash and his serious music slowly and to get an impression of his multifacetedness beforehand.

Many thanks for such a wonderful reaction to this amazing young man but regarding the Singer show, please check out Daididau as that is a beautiful song - along with Adagio & Daybreak please (although Daybreak is incredibly sad as it’s based on a tragic true story). As for really deep voices & yes, Dimash can go low in his song Olympico, but this next part is not aimed at Dimash but rather a South Korean male quartet group called Forestella with their song Hijo de la Lunar as one of the singers has a MEGA deep bass voice lol so do please consider them as they are fantastic!
