    if you want to apply a continuous current (actual DC) to your charge, you'll have to increase the number of the conductors. The higher the number, you'll get a more continuous current (and EMF)

    I just watched about twenty videos... I still don't get the damn difference.

    • @thesyrianhuman73
      @thesyrianhuman73 10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      from 4:11 forget the video
      just in AC generator you are taking advantage of full circle which means the direction is changing
      but in DC generators you are using half a circle to just get one direction of the electric current

    • @nafisa.t13
      @nafisa.t13 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      theSyrianhuman So what I don't get is why we're saying in AC that the sides of the coil are being flipped which makes waves appear to go maximum and minimum. The same thing happens in DC, just the current cuts off because of the split ring. Does that mean the oscilloscope doesn't register the entire turn? Or does it, like(if this makes sense), once the current cuts off, the whole thing kind of resets and considers?
      And besides, what's the point of using a DC or AC current? What's the advantage of one over the other in generators or motors?

    The current flow directions shown in the moving coil are wrong. It will be once A>B and then after 180 degree turn it will be B>A.
