I really enjoy the fact that you have a channel of your own Joel it's very informative and exciting to say the least but I love this idea. I've never been out of the United State's and would love to try authentic food's like this Joel it would be awesome if I came over there to have you help me I don't speak the language but I'm also legally blind but not totally blind I really love watching you and Mark eating all the different flavors I also love spice so much I love chillies as well in my food! I would love to see a video that has jeow-mang-da... water beetle dip, it's one of my favorite jeow growing up in Laos. It'll be such a treat to see how you describe the taste and flavor.. Soop-nor-mai... bamboo salad is a dish that's made during special occasions in Laos. To my knowledge it's always a dish made when we have occasions at the temple here in the United States, in my area at least...Portland Oregon

Please see if using an external microphone with noise cancellation techniques improves the overall sound. I notice quite a bit of ambient noise which can be eliminated easily using a better techniques. All the best!

Bring back lots of memories for me being Laos but I was very little when I left laos do to my dad ,the communists put my dad to their camp and slave for years , the camp closer to the city called xiangkhoang , I still remember when I visited him once ,I'm glad we not there

We lived in us now since the early 80s , one of this day I will have to write it down for my children’s to read about my story how I came into this country of USA it was a long tough and hard Journey to get here to USA , we lived in 3 refugees camp in Thailand and 1 refugee camp in Philippine it was hard and tough get here but we made it

I know that restaurant so well Joel. It is one of my favorites, and I like the fact you can try many small plates of food. Plus, there's usually a guy outside selling coconut ice cream. It's in a good location too, as the university has so much green space.

Has anyone ever told that you are very soft spoken? In contrast to Mark, he is ....louder. You might need a microphone or something, the background noise kinda over powers your voice. Don’t get me wrong, your voice is nice and soothing. But sometimes the background noises are overwhelming.

Hey Joel I love going to that place. I wanna be back in Thailand so bad! ไก่ย่างปรีชา has good quality food and many Isan dishes to choose from. However, due to their mass cooking the taste has been degrading these last few years. There food are still good tasting but not as good as they were. There's a place call ส้มตำแตงโม locate in zone หลังมอ. Their ตำ menus are amazing. The students love to go their on lunch time. Usually you would have to wait to be seated at peak hours. Maybe try that place next time.

Sorry, I got you all excited for Tum made of watermelon. I would hate to disappoint you but Som Tum Tang Moo is the name of the restaurant. I know you love fruits but you just gotta leave watermelon out of Tum hahaha. Otherwise, you will be having som tum smoothie. And yes! Kai Yang preechar was my number one go to place in 2010. Their food were just better teasting. I think most locals will agree with that statement. Nevertheless, their food is still good and I wouldn't hasitate to go there. Actually, I wish I can go there now!!! I'm so envy of you! I want to eat Thai food. I'm stuck here in Europe. If I go back to Thailand now, I don't know when will I be able to come back to finish my training here. Anyway, I talked too much! Enjoy your life and stay safe Joel!

My wife is from Buri Ram. Here in North Carolina bamboo grows wild. She goes out and harvests it herself for dishes she makes at home.

We lived in us now since the early 80s , one of this day I will have to write it down for my children’s to read about my story how I came into this country of USA it was a long tough and hard Journey to get here to USA , we lived in 3 refugees camp in Thailand and 1 refugee camp in Philippine it was hard and tough get here but we made it

I know that restaurant so well Joel. It is one of my favorites, and I like the fact you can try many small plates of food. Plus, there's usually a guy outside selling coconut ice cream. It's in a good location too, as the university has so much green space.
SO GOOD!!! Hahah Stephen, no way man!!! Ah thats so great, yea this place is one of those restaurants where you might just be able to have a small taste of the entire REgion of Esaan just in the 1 restaurant :). Amazing, very happy you know this place well :)

Has anyone ever told that you are very soft spoken? In contrast to Mark, he is ....louder. You might need a microphone or something, the background noise kinda over powers your voice. Don’t get me wrong, your voice is nice and soothing. But sometimes the background noises are overwhelming.

ไก่ย่างปรีชา has good quality food and many Isan dishes to choose from. However, due to their mass cooking the taste has been degrading these last few years. There food are still good tasting but not as good as they were.
There's a place call ส้มตำแตงโม locate in zone หลังมอ.
Their ตำ menus are amazing.
The students love to go their on lunch time. Usually you would have to wait to be seated at peak hours.
Maybe try that place next time.

Oh, and yes I have heard many people say that GaiYangPreecha was even BETTER in years past (thats almost hard to believe!!! Its still one of my favorites today... I think the first time I visited was about 5 years ago now...)
Sorry, I got you all excited for Tum made of watermelon. I would hate to disappoint you but Som Tum Tang Moo is the name of the restaurant.
I know you love fruits but you just gotta leave watermelon out of Tum hahaha. Otherwise, you will be having som tum smoothie. And yes! Kai Yang preechar was my number one go to place in 2010. Their food were just better teasting. I think most locals will agree with that statement. Nevertheless, their food is still good and I wouldn't hasitate to go there. Actually, I wish I can go there now!!!
I'm so envy of you! I want to eat Thai food. I'm stuck here in Europe. If I go back to Thailand now, I don't know when will I be able to come back to finish my training here.

Joel Bruner good morning. I was born in vietanne loas, but moved to Thailand after 2 yrs and now lives in USA. Someday I wanna visit both countries. I love eating Lao/Thai foods. Both very similar in tastes. Hopefully I will make a video from Laos too 🥰

Idk something about your videos and the way you talk make me like you wayyyy more than mark. I actually thought you were kind of annoying in marks video but man I’m glad I got to see a side of you I never knew. And I love that you are very fluent in thai. Love that you give us all info about food and snacks specifically. I like the subtitles in English when they speak thai it helps a lot.

I like how you speak Thai slowly. I don't know if I ever will be able to go back to Thailand but I had started to try to learn when I was there. You speaking Thai and explaining it as you do is great. Esp when you have the translation under.
