Nerf Accustrike Vs. Waffle Darts

  • Waffle tip style darts from Ekind and other manufacturers are a cheap alternative to Nerf's new Accustrike darts.
    Ultimately, accuracy is the point of using these, but consistency and condition of new darts vary, so a breakdown of quality control, packaging, accuracy and overall performance will tell how the alternatives stack up to the new gold standard Accustrike darts, currently priced at $9.99 per pack of 24.

    By the way if u were looking at the chrono vel, this is a hammershot which means it shoots softer than a stryfe or smth

    I personally love accustrike darts, I recently got my hands on an alphahawk, and have been enjoying the darts a lot. they also work very well in my hellcat stryfe!
    P.S. I've found them on target.com for about 6.99 per pack, also, rival rounds for 4.99
    P.P.S. the alphahawk (though impractical) is worth the money :)

      They are the best based on my tests and would like to see them become Nerf's standard dart, but since they're already re marketing Elites with "Distance" performance printed on the new packs, that probably won't happen. Hasbro still wants to market the Accustrike line as its own new product line and if they start packing the darts with other blasters, it makes them a harder sell.
      With any luck, they'll offer larger packs than 24 in the near future (maybe a 75 pack at a $19.99 MSRP) as they expand the line. Even at a discounted $7 a pack, you're still paying about $30 per 100, which is still a bit steep for anything but plinking.
      Hope that Target keeps that price on Rival rounds as they seem to perform better than any of the copies. At $20 per 100, can't really beat the original.

      yeah, I think accustrike is replacing elite ( just like elite replaced n-strike)

    • @CloneCreepProduction

      I just hope to see more diversity in the line if that's the case, like a flywheel blaster with canted flywheels, since it seemed to help the hyperfire, and it would fit in the theme of the line. maybe even through in a 12 round version of the mag that comes with the raptorstrike!

    • @greenmedic88

      Hasbro has a lot of good stuff coming up this year. The Accustrike RaptorStrike looks good, but may end up being a bit of a miss if the plunger tube isn't Longshot sized and doesn't take well to big spring upgrades. The Regulator should be very good and may make the Hyperfire obsolete. Has the attachment points of the Modulus, should have the same RoF with the same feeder belt mech and of course select fire for $60. No word whether they kept the canted flywheels in that one.
      I haven't seen any tests with the Hyperfire and Accustrike darts. The canted flywheels accomplish the same thing as the darts so theoretically that should increase the spin stabilization effect. Maybe it's worth doing a video to test that out.
      The Nemesis more or less makes every other Rival blaster obsolete, but does bring the game a bit closer to paintball. Lots of good stuff in 2017 for Nerf.

      @Evan Struck Hasbro basically killed the Accustrike line because the dart tip was too easily and cheaply replicated. Without volume dart sales, there was no money in it for Hasbro. The last two products in that line were a limited release recolored Rapidstrike and Alpha Trooper.
      The new standard in accuracy is the small diameter tip, half length dart, which is now available on US retail shelves (Walmart) from Adventure Force.

    I'm just kinda getting into the nerf world again as an adult and I can't believe how in depth it gets. Had no idea there were so many dart manufacturers, and the mods that people do are crazy. All I can say is my daughter and I are having a blast! Thanks Nerf, but shame on them for the Ultra One, just returned ours today. (Bought it yesterday) very disappointing

    Do you think the fact that you are personally shooting them instead setting up a gun mount so it's stationary, make a difference in your results and final conclusion?

  • @jennyrodriguez529
    @jennyrodriguez529 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Since you didn't test them, how do you personally feel about the EKIND suction darts? I like suction tips because my siblings and I enjoy shooting at stationary targets but I don't want to buy into them if their accuracy is not up to par with something more accurate.

    • @greenmedic88
      @greenmedic88  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      They're more accurate than Elite darts and FVJs, but flywheels tend to chew the tips up a bit and they bleed off velocity faster than other tip designs due to drag. So best with muzzle loader designs including cylinder type blasters. Should be able to reliably hit smaller targets at 20' (76 FPS ave, lightly modded Hammershot) and body sized targets at 30'. Overall good choice for plinking.

      The 200 count boxes have been the standard for Ekind. I can only guess that packaging may vary if one buys during the initial release of a new product.

      @@timothyodeyale6565You may well be in for a surprise. Depending on the type and thickness of the plastic used in the bag, the amount of heat generated by the dryer, minimum distance between them and the time it's held over any one spot, you may find your darts covered in partially melted polyethylene. 😁
