      Thanks. Yep, it's a great board - but pricy. I think it's worth it though.

    I've been using this guy on my 3-in AOS T3 naked caddx Vista build for about a year now and it's been excellent. I love the barometer feature, and if I had to make a complaint it would only be that the pads on the outside are so small, I can barely see them with my naked eye. 😂
    Great review, and video as per usual! 👏I

    Nice video! I have 2 of these, both bought a while back when they were less than 100 dollars each. No issues so far, with lots of crashes on 3.5 and 4 inch builds (4S)

    Wow, I'm trying to build something very similar to your build but mine is a Flywoo Explorer LR 4 V2 with Dave-C-FPV 1404 2750kv motors but I don't know what stack to get, it's 16by16mm and I don't know if a 20by20mm will fit, so I was thinking about the Goku f745 stack with 35a esc but I'm having a hard time finding one also I need a recommendation for a analog VTX 20by20mm

    can I use a companion computer like
    pi 0 with this board on adrupilot???

    • @WhirlyBloke
      @WhirlyBloke  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't personally tried using a Raspberry Pi Zero as a companion computer with this on ArduPilot, but my understanding is it should work fine. The Flywoo GOKU GN745 is designed to be compatible with various companion computers, and the Raspberry Pi Zero is a popular choice for many drone enthusiasts.
      However, it's always a good idea to double-check the compatibility and consult the documentation or user community of both the flight controller and ArduPilot for any specific considerations or guidelines when using a companion computer. This way, you can ensure a smooth integration and avoid any potential issues.
      If you decide to give it a try, I'd love to hear about your experience with the setup. Feel free to share your findings and any insights you gather along the way. Happy experimenting.

    Yay! It’s got a barometer! Very useful info! Thanks! On my bench right now, I’m currently building my alternative to the dji Avata using Inav 5.1, and I’m just about able to fit a 20x20 stack into a standard 3” cinewhoop frame. This is what I should have used! I need the baro and also the extra UARTs for GPS, Matek LiDAR / SONAR board, etc. I think I’ll still get one of these FCs anyway and build a cleaner, lighter ‘Avata’ than the one I’m just finishing off! Lol 😂

    • @WhirlyBloke
      @WhirlyBloke  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Me too, almost. The Matek Lidar will work fine - I've used it on several INAV builds - but I need something that works at a higher altitude.

    • @ayoaina_fpv
      @ayoaina_fpv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WhirlyBloke cool. In your previous builds with the Matek LiDAR, did you have to do much tuning to get the quad flying well in ALT hold and POS hold, or was inav stock tune good enough for that? What size quads were those and what version of inav? If you don’t mind, I might ask you for some more advice on that. Maiden flight on Hillrise Park in a few days, hopefully! 🙂 Thanks.

      @@WhirlyBloke since my last comment, I’ve built an experimental 3” with the Pavo30 frame running INAV 5.1. However , it’s not all good 😢 It skyrockets when I switch to altitude hold. Pawel reckons this is usually down to excessive vibration as INAV makes use of accelerometer readings along with barometer etc. for altitude estimation. I’ve soft-mounted the FC to no avail, so I’m thinking there’s a fundamental issue with this frame design which is being highlighted by this specific use case. Do you think this can be mitigated even if only partially by PIDs modification? Your comments/ insight would be very much much appreciated please. Better still, as I’m local, if you could spare 5 minutes to have a look at it that would be absolutely fab! I’ll be test flying in the church hall sometime in the next few days. Many thanks!

      @@ayoaina_fpv It's very probably a noise issue - mechanical or electrical. Easiest thing to do it check your gyro output in the blackbox logs. If that all looks good you may have a bad gyro.

      This is completely unnecessary for most analog micros. I mostly got it because it had a 9-volt rail for my DJI, it was an f7, had a barometer, and a 40 amp ESC so I'd never have to worry about blowing it up turtling out of a tree. And I like the mpu6000.

    Whirly Bloke, How has this AIO performed after 8 months? Should I order it or look for another one?

    • @WhirlyBloke
      @WhirlyBloke  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for reaching out and leaving a comment. After using it for 8 months, I can confidently say that it has performed exceptionally well for me. I've run ArduPilot and INAV and the overall quality, durability, and performance have been great.
      If you're looking for a reliable and efficient AIO flight controller, I would definitely recommend giving the Flywoo GOKU GN745 a try. It has proven to be a solid choice, and I haven't encountered any major issues with it. Of course, everyone's experience may vary slightly, but based on my personal experience, it's definitely worth considering.
      Hope this helps you make an informed decision! Let me know if you have any more questions or need further assistance. Happy flying.

    Do you guys think this would be okay on a 5", 4s freestyle build? I already have the board and have it on a cinewhoop but it seems wasted on it....I'm wondering of this is suitable for a new freestyle build? Probably going to get the skyliner with dribs v3 motors....what do you guys think?
