The wild caught thing isn’t really in question. BUY WILD CAUGHT FISH! Without that business, the people who live in the rainforest have no reason to protect the environment. Every other option available to them is destructive, and their removal of fish from the wild is in no way depleting the natural populations. The crudity of the nets and the difficulty of the terrain and waterways prohibits large scale collection. The collection of wild caught fish in the Amazon is and has been sustainable.

You're right, to a point. There's fish that would be extinct, if they hadn't been collected from the wild. And there's populations that can be and are negatively affected by wild collection. It also depends on how they're collected. If they're shocking or poisoning the waterways to collect, that's no good. Everything has its dark side. Not every collector is doing it right.
Cutting back can definitely be key between enjoyment and WORK! I've got four tanks running different fish, but kind of think three was more my comfort level hahaha. The fourth is a great tank, but I'd rather stay up with keeping the first three. I'm sure I'll keep all four, but definitely keeping this as my max - for now.
