  • After living in his van for 11 Years, John finally got to move in to the Central Oregon Veterans Village, a transitional housing assistance program exclusively for our military veterans. To find out more about the Veterans Village, check out their website at centraloregonv...
And for more information about the Central Oregon Veterans Outreach program that is running it, check out COVO at covo-us.org/
Now that John is moved into his new tiny home, I'm going to give him a week with his van to get his stuff setup into his new place, and then I'm going to pick it up and take it to Elite Fleet Automotive to get started on the rebuild!
To donate to the rebuild fund, check out the GoFundMe here!

As a Veteran myself I thank you SO MUCH for helping John like this. We need more people like you in this world. I have a goal with my channel of organizing a veterans shelter similar to this one but with a hobby shop, community center and more. Thanks again. Guy

I agree, I as well a United States Army Veteran. Good to see help on the way like what's happening with John. There are many more like him living on the streets, but this is a great start. Hat's off to all involved making this happen for John, and God bless each and every one of you.

How very sad to realize our nation uses these people for our goals only to throw them away when they are no longer able to be used. How wonderful to know that organizations like Covo exist to pick up the slack and extend a helping hand to these most honorable folk. While not big, these homes and this community is a far cry from where these veterans cane from. Bless them and all who contributed. God Bless America and those who make her stand tall.

It's a great thing to see a homeless veteran to get a way to feel better about their future. There's so many out there that don't get the help they so rightly deserve.

We should all work in our hometowns to get places like this set up for our local veterans, they need our help ! Talk to local businesses and charities and show them this video to see what can be done.
Our VETERANS have given so much for all of us, it's time to give back to them !!

Congratulations John, your new home is very nice! I’m a 100% Disabled Veteran and a full time wheelchair user (Paraplegic). This is the first Veteran community I’ve seen that every home looks to be wheelchair accessible. It looks like the designers/architects did a great job making homes for Veterans regardless of any mobility issues they may have. Great job!

I was wondering if we could make sure the extra money goes to food and Essentials for the Veteran's Village. Keep that place stocked up for all the vets. My sister is a vet. The government made her a lot of promises they did not keep. I'm very happy to see the government taking care of our vets finally. Most of her benefits have been chipped away. How dare we let this happen, and not get involved. Thank you Casey and everyone else out there that helped. You did a good thing we should be doing this for all of our vets. Keep up the great videos , I look forward to seeing John cam💝.

Absolutely fantastic! What a great thing done by Casey and other people and organizations that care about their fellow citizens. A wonderful grass roots solution to many similar housing issues and supports needed for people living on the fringe of society. Sad thing is that it was the local average working people that had to make this happen and not all those big multi-billion dollar corporations. That tiny home community is a WONDERFUL idea! More places should do something Iike this. But they need tiny-savvy designers. There's SO-OO much more that can be done w/ tiny homes. These are just boxes. That's not all that tinys are...they can be so much better. Maybe one of the places your money that you're collecting can go is a major upgrade to these houses...multi-purpose furniture, Murphy beds, using vertical space, cooking areas....lots of improvements possible...

... Check first if meals are set up in their community building for them... And with small ovens to use as needed ....
      A better Closet cabinet...
"Rubber mat" under sink area ... larger floor size to stop wet slippery accidents.

    CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU JOHN
I do understand How getting help through a Veteran support system feels..though not the magnitude you have received.
I suffered from PTSD for over 2 decades and didn't know it, until I went to a veteran's support outlet 2 years ago. I still struggle day to day, but each day is better than before.
Happy that you were fortunate to have met Casey.
