Yeah it's one of them I don't think it is the top because I have my own opinions but what's so impressive is the concept done this well and consistently! Really goes to show enough hard work and knowledge, + Delivery really can make even the more wack concepts look like gold.
So goku finally made peace with Kami and got his youth back, nice, also if he was fighting for a whole year, wouldn't that mean Goku was getting stronger throughout that fight.
Was not expecting the black star dragon balls to be used. That was a pretty good idea, also the idea of SS4 + the Ultra ego or Ultra Instinct was a dream of mind and I'm glad you were able to bring that to life. Can't wait to see how this story ends

I AM SPEECHLESS!!!!! The final clash with Moro was definitely something else! Having Goku regain his youth with Piccolo's help and combining SSJ4 with Ultra Ego was a very nice touch. Plus, the inclusion of the Black Star Dragon Balls to have Moro explode after merging with Earth really brought the What If to its full circle. Keep up the amazing work, Smugstick. Overall, this What If of Betrayed Goku was an awesome ride as a whole. Final Results of Entire What If: 1,000,000,000,000/10 ⭐💯🏆👍❤👏🏅
Now with the introduction of the The Black Star Balls, After the Granola Arc it gives you an Excuse to Bring in the GT Era Of Villians as well. Maybe even Revive Piccolo.

Can’t wait for the Granola arc, this is going to be exciting. Will you also take it to another direction sense that current arc is still going on in the story.
I think Goku and Vegeta might actually end the Granola arc earlier since Goku and Vegeta completely empathize with Granola. Goku because he was trapped away for years unable to protect anyone he loved to the point where he became numb to it. He launched into an obsession that ravaged the planet because of Kami. Thus Goku is the perfect analog to Granola being manipulated by the Heeters and being caught in his own revenge so much he did something he later regretted. Vegeta has even more synergy with Granola because he's lived that life as well, and he has a Family now so does Goku. If Gas shows up with his Strongest in the Universe thing number one Goku could beat or force Granola in a corner with just Ultra Ego then mix Super Saiyan 4 and kick Gas ass. Ironically enough Granola literally has no argument here because of Goku and Broly's experiences.

Smug this story is great one of the best DB What Ifs on TH-cam period. Plus I like how you've portrayed SSJ4 with the respect it deserves so many What Ifs treat it like cannonfodder without even utilizing all it's perks and grades.
Perhaps one of, if not, the greatest What If in TH-cam history, this has potential to spread out and be more than just a what if, just like Masako X's What if Raditz turned good!

No way, I just started binging this and a new episode came out 😇 that’s amazing … I’m not even at this point yet just came here to say I like this better than the actual plot obviously you couldn’t get the whole drawn out stuff and animated fights and scenes but I’m really enjoying it and it makes sense

I like the combination of the two different evolutions super, and Gt made being fused into one form. GT going for a biological evolution making a Saiyan evolve into their ultimate evolution with ssj4, while super went for evolving the Saiyan’s power, and techniques, with ssjg (and manga ultra instinct), making a Saiyan in their prime looking younger, and having a divine design, with them evolving to stack that power onto the techniques, and form’s they gained over the years.
You should do a what if Granola was sent to earth with Goku Part 0 if you want is Bardock adopts Granola instead of leaving him on planet Cereal and hides him on planet Vegeta

Huh? 🤔 So Goku combines SSJ4 with Ultra Ego I don't think Ultra Ego works like that since Ultra Ego is suppose to be the opposite of Prefected Ultra Instinct, but still it's a cool idea nonetheless. 👍 Whoa a really interesting twist of including the Black Star Dragon Balls make wonder if the grand tour like arc will happen in the next part or not, but if you end it here that's fine. Actually ultra ego is the best form to combine with super saiyan 4 as it gives the user a more destructive mindset fitting with super saiyan 4 and the saiyan instinct of that
I loved this series a lot and want to see more ^^ I also wanted to suggest another what if and it would be on the line of the Marvel movies what if but I was wondering what if Goku and parts of dragon ball was in the DCAU (DC Animated Universe) series I really like those shows and seen some of them so that's why I was just spit balling this idea

Just like ultra instinct or kaioken, ultra ego is a technique, not a transformation, so in theory it could be used on top of every form
