    Here Jason Bowld is playing an epic 7 minute montage on the Pearl EXX Export 7pc. Two kicks is better than one, so sit back and enjoy!
    The best selling drumkit ever now comes with two bass drums. This gives you huge, booming impact when blasting your double-bass beats. The Pearl Export EXX features 6-ply poplar and Asian mahogany for a crisp, warm tone which complements a range of drumming styles. The drums are fitted with Remo drum heads, offering enhanced response and sensitivity throughout your sessions. The drums also feature durable chrome hardware, adding to the structural integrity of the shells whilst complementing the stunning Arctic Sparkle shine. This Export EXX Drum Kit includes a Pearl 830 series hardware pack, Sabian SBR cymbal set, extra 22'' bass drum, 14'' floor tom and extra Demonator bass pedal, giving you the ultimate drum setup at an incredible price.
    Known for his powerful drumming with Metal supergroup Axewound and industrial legends Pitchshifter, Jason has toured the world from club level to Stadium level - and continues to do so with various artists.
    After a sudden stand-in for Fightstar, in December 2010, Jason was asked to stand in - with literally days to spare for Bullet for my Valentine's U.K. headline Arena tour - with no rehearsals! It was this opportunity - duly taken - that spawned the Metal supergroup Axewound with Bullet singer Matt Tuck, Liam Cormier (Cancer Bats), Joe Copcutt (Rise to Remain) and Mike Kingswood (Glamour of the kill).
    Jason has toured and recorded with the likes of Killing Joke, Bill Bailey ('In Metal' album) and Pop will eat itself to name a few, and he also records drums remotely for commercial ventures such as video games (Grid 2, Forumla 1 2012, Halo) and T.V. commercials.

    Jason was one of my tutors at music school. Man everyone used to look forward to his lessons. He was the only tutor who didn't take himself, us and life too seriously, compared to say the head of drums James Hester, who took everything too seriously, at all times, and had no sense of humour whatsoever. God he could suck the atmosphere out of a room 😂

      @@legolasthe3rd562 ha! I really tried with him, and there's no doubt he's a consummate professional drumming-wise. But there's always this sense he's not listening to you, he's just waiting for you to finish so he can talk about himself. I remember one time in class he was writing on the board. He stopped what he was saying and said 'I can hear someone playing something I'm not writing on the board. If you want to do that you can fuck off home'. I remember thinking it was strange him using fighting talk like that in class, when he wouldn't do it in a pub most likely. Also I remember him auditioning for CW Stoneking while I was there. Bearing in mind Hester's drumming talent, and his obsession with New Orleans style jazz, there can be nobody else who auditioned who out-drummed him. Probably not even close. But he didn't get the gig, and I remember thinking... it's down to his passive aggressive personality that he got binned off that gig. Because he would have been perfect for it on paper. Just thinking out loud what no one ever dared to say to him. One last thought.. I remember him saying that Buddy Rich's aggressive and demanding nature inspired loyalty in those around him. I genuinely think that's the vibe he was going for.

      @@jas_bataille I have the double bass export and it was lacking the sound I was looking for. After adding evens hydraulic heads to the batter side and evens pin stripe to the res heads and evens emd2 batter to the bass it sounded better. Then to get it over the top and sound like a high end kit I added maple, birch and walnut to the toms and only birch to the bass's. Did a custom paint on it too. They are a great value kit and I see why they sell a lot of them. After adding a rack ( a must) and changing the tom mounts I am very happy with my kit. So for about $2, 600 (not including cymbals extra hw) I am very happy. Keep on twirling!

    For a cheap but decent double kick set, I would buy the drums separately rather than this set. G4M sell the set for £1079, but it has 10/12 racks and 14/16 floors, a weedy snare and some mediocre Pearl hardware. I don't need the hardware, the 14" floor tom or the snare, and I want larger racks. So I looked it up. To buy the two Pearl Export 22" x18" kicks, 12" x 8" and 13" x 9" racks and a 16" x 16" floor tom only costs £749 and you can add an 18" x 16" for £135. So you can upsize the racks and floors and forget the snare and hardware for a total of £884. That's nearly £200 in savings!
    IMHO it's a no-brainer, plus you can go for Mirror Chrome if you want.

    • @Thatsaspicymeatball
      @Thatsaspicymeatball 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a choice between the pain in the arse of double bass drums taking up all the space -vs- a double bass pedal whereby the second pedal or 'slave pedal' is slightly less responsive because it has to operate at a distance. Pretty sure nobody would choose two bass drums these days.
