- Hey guys! It's Mama Doe Dawn. Today I got the keys for my $500 "low income" apartment. I figured I'd give you guys a quick tour of our new home and talk a bit about where I'm going from here.

Glad you are in better spirits. I’ve had to down-size to low income before. You will be okay. All you need is a blanket and you and Charlotte can have a picnic everyday for meals. She will love that.

Congratulations on your new home! The fireplace was really nice and that’s a lot of space for $500/month.
That's a great apartment, kind of a 3 bedroom with 2 baths. I think the last bedroom was made into a closet because technically it's a fire hazard to have a bedroom that only opens up to another bedroom. $500 is a great deal, in most places in the country you can't even rent a room in someone's house for that little money.
Huh? In the south in the country houses are cheap.

I seen your post on Reddit and came to have a look, and I love this so much! I am 36 and living with my dad currently. When I do move out, I'll be going into low income housing/apartments, too. I love how real this is, bc every apartment tour on TH-cam or social media in general, is all upscale and pricey, pristine, showy, etc. ie; out of my reach and reality. I haven't gone out of my way to search for low income apartment tours, though; so there might be more out there I'm just not seeing. Anyway, I wish you and your daughter so much luck! You've got this, and will do amazing! This is the first and only video I've seen from you, but you seem to have the personality for TH-cam, so I hope you go far on here! I'm subbing for sure! Can't wait to watch the broke-single-mom saga!

Its super nice for the money. I moved to Seattle to be near famliy and its around 1400-1600 for an efficiency!

Idk how everyone else did it but I called local apartments and ask if they were income base. Then the application for the apartment will be the application for low income housing as well. Hope it works out for you. God bless 😊

Its seems less private n you have to walk through one room to get to the other one. I'm interested in following your journey.
When they ask if your income changes always so yes for annual review time and show your statements I’m happy for you I myself am waiting on approval for getting in a low income apartment and I have lived in horrific conditions before and while you are in yours get a section 8 I mean even if you travel outside your city to another county because getting section 8 my dream is a rent to own that is Pet Friendly that I can work out of I’m a pet groomer and also want to help pet sit or dog boarding and that will be a 6 figure business right out of home that section 8 will help me get as well
I know a senior citizen in asbury park nj paying 700 a month for section 8

Absolutely! It truly is such a blessing! Small Midwest US city housing is typically very affordable, and I'm lucky to have settled in one of those affordable areas!
