I found these 3 videos really helpful, thanks for posting! I haven't started the program (or even accepted the offer yet, lol!) but I wanted to learn more about how leaving early would work, just in case. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences :)

Thank you for sharing. Some of the experiences you brought up is what is stopping me from applying for the program. I am from Canada, 23 years old, and an introvert. Even though I am of age, I do not party nor drink and being in that type of environment makes me feel very uncomfortable. I am quite anti-social but I can make friends easily if that makes sense and I know if I get there, I will want to be alone.

Hun, why don't you try Disneyland College Program? SOOOO much closer to Arizona!

There aren't that many spots, probably because disney in la doesn't cater to the DCP, the park in florida does. there are like maybe fifty spots usually for cast members already casted in disneyland in la, and a five hundred plus spots for dcp in florida lol.

No the DCP in Disneyland has about 500 spots, and its in Anaheim not LA lol. It is harder to get into ours, but it doesnt hurt to try!

Oh honey, I wish that I would have been your roommate at that time..lol..You should try it again, and really just go for it this time...Ignore the young and crazy and find some level headed people to be friends with...I'm considering the DCP right now for fall and I'm super excited, but I'm also worried that I'm going to be stuck with a bunch of young immature girls...YIKES...I'm going to be 25 in January, so I hope that I can find some older girls to room with on Facebook or something.

I don't like to be away from my family either. I won't be applying until my sophomore year of college so I'm hoping that when I do apply and if I get the honor of going down and participating that my time away from home for college will give me a little taste of what it will be like. I want to be a FGIT as well! I do not have much experience but as you said in this video there isn't much experience needed beforehand. Thank you for sharing your story.

Does everyone who gets BBB get FA or SA? I can't do FA and I have only seen people who are in BBB in the Advantage program.

Hello! No, there were some CP's who were arriving when I left. The role is available for both the advantage program and the regular fall/spring :)

Did you have scholarships that got cancelled by quitting early? I'm so nervous to get there and want to come right back home, and if I do that, my scholarships getting lost. :(

You'll never be good at nor achieve anything in life if you're a quitter. These I'm a quitter videos are pathetic. Especially if you quit at something as good as the DCP.Ain't nothing worth having easy to get.Show some huevos and make it work.

+tpcrb Remember what you said here the first time you ever quit a job, or break up with someone, or decide you want to move somewhere else. Essentially the DCP is a job, and not all jobs are pretty. You can have bad managers, co-workers, bad work environments even at Disney World. Try being 18 and working 50 hour weeks and 6pm-4am shifts at Magic Kingdom, all while being paid so little you can barely afford groceries and their apartment rent. (and then going back the next day and working 12-12 shifts!) Some jobs and experiences just aren't for everyone, and if you go through life judging everyone for deciding something isn't right for them you're going to find yourself a lonely person. People quit the program and go on to do jobs that actually pay money and help them along with their career. DCP isn't for everyone, and that's not a bad thing. A lot of jobs aren't for everyone. People change careers every day, it's just a part of life. It's nice that you think that you're better than everyone, and maybe it makes you feel better about yourself to say these things to strangers on the internet under a screename, but it's really uncalledfor to treat someone like that about a decision they made over two years ago. I don't know if you're a child or what, but life just isn't that easy. Not everything is going to work out for you, and I hope that when you have to make a tough decision like this you have people supporting you and not saying "well you're a quitter and pathetic!" You're the pathetic person here.
