Thanks Matt for sharing your conversion story. I'm a Protestant non denominational Pastor since 1978. I still love hearing how people surrendered to Jesus. I watch Pints with Aquinas frequently. I also listen to Brian Holdsworth. I grew up hearing on bad things about Roman Catholicism. And it's only been in the last 5 years that I started listening to Catholic conversion stories, and Catholic theology. Thank you for your show, and your guests! God bless you.b
I found Jesus at the lowest point of my life, staring at a bottle of someone’s prescription pills contemplating how many I would need to swallow to take me out. That’s when Jesus reached out his hands through his sacred merciful heart and I began my conversion to the Catholic faith. It’s only been 9 months and I’m on fire for the Lord being consumed by the completeness of the truth, the way and the life.
Praise God for His MERCY!! Please i beg you, in your new zeal for the Lord, to PRAY for the youth who are in the place you were when the pills were in front of you. Specifically please pray for my teen daughter who has also been in that prescription pill place and has not found God…yet. Please pray that He reveals Himself to her…her name is Isabelle🌹
I am a new convert. I have never felt so much peace. Even when I get upset, I ask Momma Mary to be with me. And she gives me peace and tranquillity. Praise God that God led me to the Roman Catholic Church.
Matt Frad is the first reason why me and my husband as two protestants are exploring the claims of Rome. We listened to one of his podcasts and were shocked to see a staunched catholic can love Jesus Christ sp beautifully. We were brought up to believe that only unfaithful catholics can be christians, that the catholic dogmas make people pagans.

She learned so much and now says "the catholic church is like finding a treasure trove. Everyday your finding something new and amazing. Will pray for you to have the holy spirit welcoming you home!

I forgot until watching this how much the Lord loves me...despite striving to be faithful to our good lord Jesus in many respects I realize I've fallen out of love with him. I'm off to change this now!
I went through a similar conversion as well when I was in high school. I attended a public high school and there was no place for religion. And I had some friends who had different religions or none at all. And I was a lost soul like Saint Augustine. But by the time I graduated from high school, I've decided to come back to the Catholic Church and renew my Catholic faith. And with the help of 2 friends of mine, they helped me come back and they helped me to renew my Catholic faith.
Praise God for Matt’s mom! Enabling him to go on that trip was clearly a transformational moment in his faith journey, what a beautiful thing to do for your child
Thank you for this video and Matt's story. I just shared it with one of my sons who is not yet Catholic and who is engaged to a Catholic who is not practicing her faith. I trust in the most immaculate heart of Mary for their conversion. I am also a convert to the Catholic faith five years ago and there were many things shared with me that ultimately led to my conversion from protestant to Catholicism.🙏🏼 JMJ
I paused in my tracks (working in the kitchen while listening) when you said you “felt seen, known” during your experience in Rome. That feeling - I described it as feeling “noticed” - was the first significant milepost on my journey home. It was on Holy Thursday at a little church I’d decided to visit while trying to figure out who God is. The Eucharistic procession passed by and I felt noticed, recognized, for the first time in six months of intense searching. But I didn’t know a thing about the Eucharist or Eucharistic theology at the time. It wasn’t until months later that I made the connection.
I remember coming back to God after years away a Carmelite brother mentioned Pints with Aquinas to me and I've listened a lot since then. Thanks be to God! 😊
What a blessing! Thank you Matt and Gabi for all you do ❤ God is good. Being in God’s presence and immersing your heart in God’s love brings so much peace and joy 🙏❤️🙏
It took me over 18 months of daily rosary to help the head knowledge sink in where it was no longer merely an intellectual exercise. What tipped it over for me, was asking God to help me find a patron Saint because I had no idea how to go about it. I tried invoking St Irenaeus as I'm born on his feast day, but felt only silence. There I had some supernatural circumstances (3 "co-incidental" occurrences) that pushed me towards reading about St Therese of Lisieux, Story of a Soul, and it was a match made in heaven. Somehow a young cloistered Carmelite nun from over a 100 years ago resonated with me. She helped me enter into stronger prayer life, and helped me achieve consistent mental prayer.
