I love Ex-Mutants! Great covers! EDIT: Ron Lim also did the cover for the "Ex-Mutants: The Shattered Earth Chronicles" issues #1 to #3 from Eternity Comics.
Ah yes, that happens to me all the time. Don't know if it's a blessing or a curse but so many books on my wish list got there because I saw somebody post about the book.
Always a great feeling finding that one elusive book that you've been needing! Doesn't have to be big money, it's just that success that feels so good! I had that with an X-factor #60 something that I found just a few weeks ago. It was the one book I was missing in the run that I was wanting to complete for a couple years. I was stoked for sure! And then, a couple boxes over, same day, I found it again! 🤣 Congrats on some great books! Appreciate the preview of things to come as well! Can't wait
Great story! And you hit on another funny phenomenon - once you find that book after looking for so long, it sometimes happens (more than you'd expect) that you find it AGAIN a short time later. Crazy!
Dope video man. You don’t know what you’ll find at a garage sale or a comic convention. You got me motivated in finishing my John Byrne Fantastic Four run and my Roger Stern Amazing Spider-Man run. Much appreciated brother
i picked up that Ms Marvel One Shot back when it came out, it's a fun read with good art and pirate character designs. Dennis Hallum used to go by the name Dennis Hopeless, not sure why the change. Bushido Blade Walrus has surprisingly good art. keep up the good work.
I, also, collect the original SS series through Fantasy Masterpieces. I only need 2 more for that run and then I'll have to bite the bullet and finish the run with the actual Surfer series.
Yeah, that’ll be a spendy endeavor but if you got the reprints cheaper you could think in terms of how mush the whole run cost you. In those terms spending up on only a few books will keep your overall average price per book lower.
It’s about finding affordable comics for a collection if you don’t read comics anymore. Even looking for great covers as I have been doing lately it can be expensive for a common man with limited income. Went to NYCC and picked up a few great covers, should have jumped on more as so far haven’t located more of same. Won’t let that happen again.
There are definitely some amazing covers coming out today. And I know the feeling of remorse after not buying something and then not seeing it again. Who knows, maybe it'll turn up when you least expect it. In the meantime, there's always more things to be hunting for.
FF 100 for free?!? As a reward for doing what you love?!? This might be your best score yet, Chris!
I've never seen that Ms. Marvel: Storyteller book either. Now I want it!

Glad to help! It's such a satisfying feeling to complete a run like that. Good luck hunting!
I think that FF Atlantis rising is called an acetate cover.
Thank you! I knew I was using the wrong word but couldn’t think of it. Now my mind can have peace.
That Fantastic Four Atlantis Rising is a cool looking cover! Dig the artwork!
Always been a dollar diver as well, it's nice to watch other people and see what they get. Keep it up!

Nice! I haven't gotten any of those yet but looking forward to the Hickman story and Ribic art.

Great comics adds Chris, even having to pay up to $2 per comic
I agree. Finding so many dollar and fifty cent books aren’t the only deals out there.
