It really depends on your perspective, legacy items are meant to be converted away since they occupied inventory spaces and you got extra power kits for converting them. However for some people we decides to keep those old items for collection purposes, cause you won't be able to get legacy items anymore, once you converted them they are gone forever. Secondly some legacy items are still useful, with them you could make your gameplay more fun and convenient
