+Claire Parker: Amen to that. Their first album is one of my top 5 albums of all time, along with Frank Zappa's "Freak Out!", The Who's "Who's Next?", Elvis Costello's "My Aim Is True" and R.E.M.'s "Document."
My God..I've listened to 70s and 80s my whole life and never found this heavenly song until now thank you Johnny thank you joey thank you all you guys really in piece
Lyrics: Sha-la-la-la Sha-la-la-la-la-la Ships are docking Planes are landing A never ending supply No more narco No more gangster Conservatives can cry I took the law and threw it away Cause there's nothing wrong It's just for play There's no law, no law anymore I want to steal from the rich and Give to the poor Sha-la-la-la Sha-la-la-la-la-la It was glowing, glowing, glowing Glowing in the dark It was sparkling, sparkling, sparkling Sparking in the night I took the law & threw it away Cause there's nothing wrong It's just for play There's no law, no law anymore I want to steal from the rich and Give to the poor Winter turns to summer Sadness turns to fun Keep the faith, baby You broke the rules and won Sha-la-la-la Sha-la-la-la-la-la Keep it glowing, glowing, glowing I'm not hurting anyone Keep it glowing, smoking, glowing I'm howling at the moon I took the law & threw it away Cause there's nothing wrong It's just for play There's no law, no law anymore I want to steal from the rich and Give to the poor Oh baby Oh baby Oh baby Oh baby I took the law and threw it away Cause there's nothing wrong It's just for play I'm smoking, baby I'm smoking, oh baby There's no law, no law anymore I want to steal from the rich and Give to the poor Sha-la-la-la Sha-la-la-la-la-la
Underrated song! And I can see why... Maybe the most "post-punk" song from them and usually the fans prefer the more "straight to the point rock n' roll". But, hey... Still pretty good. I love it.
It's a shame music casual music listeners really only know Ramones for their self-titled debut album and perhaps Rocket to Russia. Yes, those albums are great, but Ramones are so much more.
I remember when the Ramones did Baby I love you, them I think DeeDee said, that's not the Ramones,we should be punk and tough ..then this ..and something to believe in etc ...love both songs by the way,and the Ramones...
The more I listen to Joey's vocals the more I marvel at its uniqueness and beauty. 🖤🖤🖤
I Absolutely Love The Ramones so much !!!!😎 They Live On In My Heart ❤And Everyone Who Loves Them
❤️

Lyrics:
Sha-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la-la-la
Ships are docking
Planes are landing
A never ending supply
No more narco
No more gangster
Conservatives can cry
I took the law and threw it away
Cause there's nothing wrong
It's just for play
There's no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and
Give to the poor
Sha-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la-la-la
It was glowing, glowing, glowing
Glowing in the dark
It was sparkling, sparkling, sparkling
Sparking in the night
I took the law & threw it away
Cause there's nothing wrong
It's just for play
There's no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and
Give to the poor
Winter turns to summer
Sadness turns to fun
Keep the faith, baby
You broke the rules and won
Sha-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la-la-la
Keep it glowing, glowing, glowing
I'm not hurting anyone
Keep it glowing, smoking, glowing
I'm howling at the moon
I took the law & threw it away
Cause there's nothing wrong
It's just for play
There's no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and
Give to the poor
Oh baby
Oh baby
Oh baby
Oh baby
I took the law and threw it away
Cause there's nothing wrong
It's just for play
I'm smoking, baby
I'm smoking, oh baby
There's no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and
Give to the poor

" I wanna steal from the rich and give to the poor"
The movie Roadkill brought me here.
Lyrics more la la la's than Massiel 1968 Eurovision win.
I am probably 1/3 of the views on this. What a shame.

This song needs to be stripped down Jonny’s guitar deedee’s bass and drums - take that 80’s production away… it has potential for sure -
Oh shut up. That production is what they went with.
Don't be pompous
