This has very quickly become my favourite painting channel🙂 iv been thinking of doing silver sisters but with blue robes and i think this would look great.
You are one of my favorite painters. You've done an amazing job with both my favorite armies. Soroitas and Raven Guard. Outstanding. I'll be following your advice when I go to paint.
Amazing! I have some old Empire Knights from Warhammer Fantasy and this way of painting armor will look amazing on them! Thanks, keep up the awesome videos.
@@danjowsey3354 in this video in particular I'm using my Rosemary and Co Series 33 sizes 1 and 2 and maybe the Windsor and Newton Series 7 size 2. My personal favourite brushes are the Raphael 8404 size 1 and 0
Hi Juan, any advice on how to avoid any chalky or grainy look on the models when you prime them with corax white. I want my models to look smooth like yours when priming them. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Warm the can, spray short, quick bursts from close and make sure the model is also warm. That's what I do. You can actually see me prime a model in the video about expensive and cheap printers.
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Thanks for tips and the quick reply! Your videos have inspired me to pick up painting again and I look forward to watching more of your content!
I have videos about grey knight and gold armour. That's exactly how I would paint them. Mix and match the rest parts with other videos. At some point I will do a Custodes but it will be in a very long time as I don't have plans right now for them. Same goes for Grey Knight
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures ah yes I've seen them now! My plan is to have a small force of all imperium factions so I don't want any to be the same colour. Which means I really do black or silver sisters. I'd like to do white but I know it would be pretty difficult even with your methods haha. But then I don't really like deathwatch so I could just skip that
Hey I know this is 3y old video but what paint brushes do you use 😅 hoping you see this. I just stocked up on some remaining paints I needed to do this and can’t wait to make them look even half as good as yours! Lol
Late to the party but could I substitute corax white primer for wraithbone and receive similar results? I already primed my sisters before seeing this video.. haha
I don't do anything special, just apply it. You need to have enough of the mix loaded in the brush in order for it to flow well, it's easier to over-apply and then take out the excess than to apply it thin to begin with
If you want deathwatch, just use the Raven Guard video. As for Grey Knights I already covered their armour in a video. It's just a matter of filling in the gaps with the rest of the videos
Man, I wish I had such magic brushes. But be it brushes from GW, Army Painter, artist kolinsky brushes or whatever else, they don't hold a point like that even when new, never mind after prolonged use!
It has nothing to do with magic. Please don't get this the wrong way but when it's so widespread it's not the brush but the brush-er. You are probably overloading the brush from the get go, but it's very hard to tell what it's happening without direct feedback. Those brushes are rosemary and co series 33 size 3 and 4.
Get a nice brush, keep them with the caps on always in storage, clean the water of your cup FREQUENTLY, and store them with the bristles facing DOWN if possible or flat if you can't, never with the bristles up. Also once you've finished painting, clean the brush in CLEAN water before storage, I algo form the tips in my mouth, saliva helps keep your brushes in good shape
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures I clean my water after every painting session, sometimes a few times during if it's a long session. But I do keep them stored bristles up, with the cap on usually.
I really like it! I've been struggling with how to paint a silver that looks like it has a shine rather than just a flat silver, and I'm definitely gonna try your technique out! I'm going to use more gold on my version of the Argent Shroud, though.
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures vava, pues aquí un seguidor compatriota. Soy nuevo en tu canal pero bueno, te felicito por el talento que tienes pa pintar 👌🏻 siento envidia (sana) xD

Just saw the strategically placed tuft on the back, you are a master sir! Awesome video!
Lol! Yeah, there is a lot of mistakes you can cover discretely with your basing
Thanks
Just got some sisters and wanted to paint them as the argent shroud so this guide has been brilliant so thank you for taking the to make this video.
Thank you for watching it 😘
That’s gorgeous, you’re making me want to start a sisters army!
YEAH! DO IT!
Reminiscent of Jakob Nielsen’s work with the red and metal and washes (in this case contrast). Excellent!
Thanks, that is a great compliment
Such a brilliant work! That’ll choose this Order to paint myself
Awesome! That's my favourite as well

Absolutely stunning, out of interest what do you use to hold/attach the sub assembled gun whilst painting.
Pin and hold with an old pin vise
Perfect.🤩🙂

Are you planning on doing a Order of the Bloody Rose video?
Yes, all of the orders will get one.

As always mate, thank you for watching
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures Believe me , The pleasure is all mine , Thank you .
Great tutorial as always. Thank you. One question though; how would it affect non-metalic areas if I start with spraying Leadbelcher all over?
Nothing really. You will need to Basecoat them all with Corax White that's all. I prefer to Basecoat the metal over the white as that is less work

how did you get the Wyldwood + Medium mix to flow that well.
I don't do anything special, just apply it. You need to have enough of the mix loaded in the brush in order for it to flow well, it's easier to over-apply and then take out the excess than to apply it thin to begin with
Just thought - I’d love to see you do a Daemonette in this contrast style of video
Thanks for the suggestion! I will add that to the queue of ideas
Love the videos! Any chance of a heavy metal deathwatch or grey knights?
If you want deathwatch, just use the Raven Guard video. As for Grey Knights I already covered their armour in a video. It's just a matter of filling in the gaps with the rest of the videos

Not really no, sorry
Would this color scheme work well with a darker/ dirtier version of your armor color?
