    Now homework for you! What would you if the weather today has been not great. The word for 'weather' is "thời tiết'. Please comment your sentence below!

    "On the rare occasion that I cook for my husband." Ha! Ha! That cracked me up.

    Thanks for your videos. I‘m half vietnamese and half german but I grew up in Germany. I used to talk a lot with my vietnamese aunts when I was young but over the years as I grew up, I forgot a lot of words and often have problems to talk to my family members. Sometimes, my fear of speaking and making mistakes is so big that I refuse to see them. But when I found you on youtube a year ago, I learned a lot from your videos and I‘m now capable to speak fluent most of the time. So thank you so much and keep up the good work! 😊

    Another is example is, I was sitting with my girlfriend and my uncle and his family at a restaurant. My girlfriend, who is younger than my uncle, who was the oldest at the table, went to pay the bill. My uncle said she was kỳ quá.

      Giỏi lắm. Just have to remove "quá" (so) as we already have "hơi" (a little bit) and it's perfect!

    When I tried to type kỳ kỳ ... Google Translate suggest "Period" - Is this because there is a difference in North & South Vietnamese?

    • @LearnVietnameseWithAnnie
      @LearnVietnameseWithAnnie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, ‘kỳ’ can also mean ‘period’. There’re a lot of homophones in Vietnamese!

    How about "Nhìn đường đi anh oi!" People always laugh when I say that. Must be the accent.

    Your husband is an "older man"? You speak English with a bit of a British accent. Did you live in the UK?
