Summary:
The Fix (Memory Man Series, 3) - Book 3 of 7: Amos Decker - April 18, 2017 by David Baldacci.
In this "perfect 'fix' for the thriller aficionado" (Associated Press) and #1 New York Times bestseller, maverick FBI detective Amos Decker must forge an uneasy alliance with the Defense Intelligence Agency to prevent an international incident that could spell the end of the United States as we know it.
Amos Decker witnesses a murder just outside FBI headquarters. A man shoots a woman execution-style on a crowded sidewalk, then turns the gun on himself.
Even with Decker's extraordinary powers of observation and deduction, the killing is baffling. Decker and his team can find absolutely no connection between the shooter -- a family man with a successful consulting business -- and his victim, a schoolteacher. Nor is there a hint of any possible motive for the attack.
Enter Harper Brown. An agent of the Defense Intelligence Agency, she orders Decker to back off the case. The murder is part of an open DIA investigation, one so classified that Decker and his team aren't cleared for it.
But they learn that the DIA believes solving the murder is now a matter of urgent national security. Critical information may have been leaked to a hostile government -- or worse, an international terrorist group -- and an attack may be imminent.
Decker's never been one to follow the rules, especially with the stakes so high. Forced into an uneasy alliance with Agent Brown, Decker remains laser focused on only one goal: solving the case before it's too late.
Great job adding in the music. Really takes away from the story lol (sarcasm)
The music is intolerable.
The music is added to avoid copyright issues. It's only there for the first few minutes. Relax people
Eliminate the music, its distracting and affects the audio.
Terrible.
It's used to get around the copyright
Thank you for the upload. I understand the reason for the music that everyone is complaining about.
Stop with this noise so we can hear the story.
I lasted five minutes. I could not hear what the narrator was saying.
I can do without that music. Oops, can't take it anymore.
I hate the music. It’s very distracting.
The music is simply intolerable....and even calling it music is a stretch....it is quite simply desultory noise.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME ! unless you like weird background noise to ruin it all.
The music in the background sucks
Music is too distracting to really listen to the story😢
Why why why the music
Almost didn't make it to the music
Alex is so annoying.
Way too subservient to Decker, he treats her like 💩
Better pacing than first book, imo.
Get over the music everyone!
What is the point of the music ? It ruins the book and I just gave up listening.
I thought all the comments complaining about the music had to be exaggerating - but no! That music is seriously distracting! I'm going elsewhere!
Its only a few minutes long and necessary.
@@youtubelegend9378 - Yes... I found that out... lol I'm such a drama queen! lol
VERY annoying background music/ noise! I’m sure it’s a good book but could not finish it. Given it zero stars.
