Its incredible how they achieved the overwhelming architecture of Zootopia. It feels like I'm actually in the bustling landscape of New York City
That zootopia ride is excellent!! The perfect amount of sets, animatronics and screens. I don't mind screens when they do it like this.
Yep! When the screens aren’t the main element of the scene and instead act as a background or enhancer if the story, they are great to use in rides! The new Zootopia ride here, Secret Life of Pets in Universal Studios Hollywood, Rise of the Resistance and the 2 E Ticket Harry Potter attractions in Universal have proven that these parks know how to use the screens effectively and correctly now
The exterior is well done, but to me the dark ride itself relies way too heavily on projected images. If audio-animatronics are too costly, then more moving 3-d set pieces should have been used, similar to what's seen in annual Xmas department store windows.
I do agree that there are a lot of creative uses of screens/projections in this attraction, however, 17:54 - 18:20 and 20:50 - 21:30 is still just too much screentime for me. It always feels so empty and cheap and unimaginative on top of giving motion sickness. I almost feel this way about 20:00 - 20:30, however, I think it's creative and not very long, so I'll give it a little credit.
This is the best filming I’ve seen of the Zootopia Land!
I hope they bring this to a Orlando Florida someday 🇺🇸🔝🙏🏼

13:05 I absolutely LOVE that Disney imagineers decided to show the pig lady as a prisoner, because SHE actually was supposed to be the original villain in Zootopia, NOT Bellweather. Mayor Swinton.
This was back during the time when they were still going with the whole shock collar on predators story line.

As much as I'm not a fan of Disney's mantra to put IP into everything, I have to admit that the Frozen land in Hong Kong and this Zootopia land in Shanghai are exceptional.
I hope they bring this to California someday. I could see them redoing the Hollywood section in California adventure. That area has a lot of unused buildings just sitting there, so there's space to at least make a shrunken down version of Zootopia.

I rode this ride a few months ago and it was amazing. Did not disappoint.
This is what Disney's Animal Kingdom was supposed to do in the first place (as with moana land too) not shoving the south american expansion all at once!
I had a very visceral response to the camera person walking between people taking pictures.
The creativity, taste, and attention to detail here is very inspirational!

Videos like this just remind me that Bob cares more for the eastern parks (or JUST the Shanghai park specifically) than the domestic parks.

Yeah, but you also have to remember that in the case of Tokyo, the OLC completely owns it and finances it only licensing characters from Disney and in the case of Shanghai, they split the bills with a Chinese company, so Disney foots less than 1/2 the cost there, which is why they get the good stuff. Bob was also the one to fix California Adventure and Hong Kong to make them better reflections of the Disney brand as opposed to seeming like they were just cheap knock off parks and is currently overseeing the Paris Studios park improvement. It’s fair to say that Iger mandated more IP based lands and attractions, which isn’t my favorite requirement, but I don’t think it’s completely accurate to say he cares more about the eastern parks.
This needs to be at animal kingdom
I hope disneyland paris gets that treatment someday of getting a great new and original land/ride... ratatouille was alright but it was also so long ago, and avengers campus sucks :(

As much as I would love this in the states, i dont think they will cause having a ride queue in a prison setting would cause controversies 😂. Love the land though.

Shanghai Disneyland is such a weird park to me, and hardly a castle park… other than having a castle for the icon.
It deviated away from most of the classics, no train, no it’s a small world- no Main Street USA, no Frontierland, and instead has IP lands like Zootopia and Toy Story Land.
It’s also huge, like the pathways and open plazas sometimes remind you of Epcot, rather than Disneyland or even Hong Kong Disneyland- there’s no charm

Because you can’t tell that Zootopia’s characters were voiced in English. *Look at their lips during the dark ride on the 4D screens.*
I really like Zootopia. I hate it when you cut out the music. Ruins the experience Dont do it.I hope WDW builds a Zootopia land just like this.❤❤
That music is from the soundtrack and without cutting it out, the video would get flagged for copyright infringement.
I love how all of the signs in Zootopia are colourful and thematic except "CITY HALL" and "POLICE STATION" 😂 Very on-brand for China

So then DON’T GO TO THE PARK then, god dammit! There’s nothing wrong with heroic cops! If you have such an issue with law enforcement, why the hell are you looking up a Zootopia video? Just don’t watch the movie if you hate the concept so much!

I wish they would talk English in the ride, Cus this would be a Dream come true for me! Because I LOVE Zootopia so very much.
But sadly they only talk Chinese in the ride so I’m not interested into travel so far to not understand anything.

Why does Disney create lands that look and are boring. It’s this example, in California the Mickey area with the awful ride of Roger Rabbit.
That ride is awfull and without any of the atmosphere of the classics
Never bring this to the United States Disney. The furries would ruin it for everybody anyway not to mention they will be greasing the gator and petting the cat on the ride in question.
