I just learned how to use the 4in1 module to setup a wireless trainer radio. This stuff is pure magic. I would still recommend today purchasing a radio with a Multi-module and external ELRS. Get the most bang for your bux.

Betaflight has had a working joystick mode for a while now. Use an old flight controller plus whatever receiver works with your setup and set 'set usb_hid_cdc = ON' then 'save' in the command prompt and you have a free radio controller joystick adapter; assuming you've got the spare hardware lying around which many people have.
It doesn't always work at distances like on the couch etc. You usually need to be right up on your PC. I agree though, BLE is so easy and I can never go back to USB :D
If you happen to have a tinyhawk laying around, you can plug it into the computer, connect from your controller and do the same thing! I like the idea of the stick though!

Didn’t you explain girls aren’t capable of drone piloting? I TRIED telling that to my daughter when she was 11. She took my teasing as a challenge and worked hard to show me “wrong” and is an awesome pilot now. Btw - The reason I posed the “challenge”? She was born with only one arm and we thought flying would be a great “therapy” idea while improving her dexterity. Plus… she’s a fighter and must prove herself right, so I used that obstinacy to get her into the hobby. 😆 Good luck to you and your beautiful and talented daughter!

Sims on 150" projector screen is pretty epic. I love my set up. You gotta have a good projector though.
