I feel like you're in my brain. I had the idea to do a similar thing but with 2 pairs of coral and tan Corduroy pants to make it into a skirt. I've been thinking of how to make this for a few months now. I'm glad you made this video now, I can finally make the skirt.
Pretty cool idea. Do I have a question. Would it work to unpick the waistband from the side area before any cutting and then splice the waistband back together after sewing the side seams?
Ohh I love them! And such a great way to upsize 😍 at first I thought I would prefer a cleaner look but actually loved the seams on the outside! I was hoping you would remove and re-do the waist band but it does add to the grunge feel to just stick it back together 😁👌🏻
Totally! If I was going for that clean look, it would've been great to try make the waistbands continue around more intentionally. Glad you enjoyed how they turned out :))
Thanks so much 🥰🥰 I’ve had no problem with the waistband while wearing it. Definitely worth taking slow on the machine as it’s a lot haha. I guess it’s like a regular seam just exposed. But if you were worried about the potential bulkyness could try trim back the seam allowance around that area so it’s as close to the sewing line as possible. Sorry I didn’t shoot any close ups at the end 😅

Omg love it when this happens!!! That’ll be such a fun mix of materials 😍
The layering of the tops at 21:36 is magical, I FREAKING LOVE IT.

Aww so glad you enjoyed that outfit experimentation and the DIY in general! 💜💜💜

Too kind!! Thank you :)
This came out so cute ❤❤❤ I want to try with men jeans, I want a lil more baggy look!! Can you make a video on how you style it in 4 ways? 😊
Nice and helpful video 😊

Love the pants so much! Just checking if its a bit bulky to wear with the waist bands being sewn together?
Thanks so much 🥰🥰
