i don’t get the people that feel the need to read out the subtitles dont you miss out on the voice acting because you can’t hear over yourself talking? especially with gintama, every voice actor brings so much passion with their performance, whether it’s comical condescension or emotional yelling or somber low voices
I think it's to have a better immersion cuz they're doing a reaction and is more self-conscious, they kinda lose track so reading it slowly and outloud refocuses them. This might be obvious once you've noticed it but they wear head/earphones, even commentate on the ost- they're definitely not missing out on the voice acting, specially at this point lol. Even in the early episodes for example, the host episode, they're very pleased with the iconic "Let's Party" by Hijikata and the cockroach "health me". Also Gintoki's scream at the radio ghost story, they're also creeped out in Madao's scary stories, etc. So yeah... they actually care about Gintama and love the legendary VA's- it's like the first thing they notice when they started the show.
i kept watching Gintoki and Hijikata sitting waiting for them to move until i realised that the actual video is in the centre.😂 Seriously what's wrong with me ? That never happened before 😅
