Love this foundation so much. I have extremely dry sensitive skin. No alcohol or scent in it. My skin looks great at the end of the day. It is the first high end foundation that has impressed me in a while.
I'm hoping you'll do a Fenty hydrating foundation and Revolution hydrating foundation reviews soon. I bought the Revolution hydrating concealer, and it's pretty good. I probably get 6 hours of wear before I notice creasing. Gardening tip: plant mint, lavender and citronella plants around your butterfly garden to keep the deer away. They don't like the smells, so they stay away.
Nice to see someone over 40 review this. I like it too, and chose 140N. My skin gets flakey and peels from RetinA. I will usually slather the areas with a heavy moisturizer at night, then in the AM, use a washcloth or Walker’s Natural Skin Bamboo Facial Scrub to very gently scrub any loose skin away. Works great. Have you tried using Invisble Fence to keep the deer away? At first you spray everything a few times a week, then you only have to spray after it rains. It’s a natural spray, smells awful when you first apply it...but it works!
Thanks (as always) Shelly, when I walked in to Ulta recently this display was front and center... I just went to p/u my MUR new hydrating foundation (which I've not had time to try yet) and thought I'd wait to hear your thoughts on the AB new foundation!! The girl trying to drive ppl toward it was wearing it and looked really dry... however, she was younger and appeared to have powdered the heck out of her face? I personally do love a bit of dew/a little glow at 59 as of a week ago! Thank you, I will definitely PASS based on your review!
This is the first foundation I’ve seen that makes me want to buy. I like that the bottle’s print is classy on one side and modern on the other. I like the mod side.
Very smooooth! :) I wondered if with some foundations if using a brush makes the peeling skin more noticeable by brushing up the rough edges of those areas? Just spit ballin'. :D
The color match is perfect. I'm currently loving this. I don't think it lasts as long as they say it does, but considering that I have pretty dry skin, it works pretty well. It looks beautiful on your skin, Shelly. Very smooth and natural. I think I'll be sticking with it for awhile. The other foundation that I was curious about, is the new Fenty hydrating foundation! Isn't nature amazing? Love colorful butterflies, and I have a hibiscus tree right outside of my bedroom window, and the hummingbirds come right up and drink the nectar. They are the cutest little things. ❤🦋🐦 Thanks for reviewing the ABH foundation. I was so looking forward to it. Have a great weekend. 💓💕
Yep same experience here! I brought the ABH to Vegas for a week and it's lovely - doesn't last as long as I'd like but it is pretty. I just got the new Fenty so I'll be filming that one soon!
@@goow I've been using the ABH consistently for 2 weeks. It's incredible. I watched Mel's video on the Fenty Hydrating foundation, and now I have the urge to run to Sephora to pick up samples. Seems like the matte craze is dwindling, thankfully! But every other day, a new foundation lands on the market!!
Great review, you are the second person I have seen to question why they had to print FOUNDATION on the bottle. Weird isn't it?? Like we would mistake it for say, lipstick? :) Love the lippies and they are high on my list of things to buy. The butterfly part was so cute! I love them too!
Just take a picture of the Alter Ego palette online and that way you can figure out where your shades go. And I think the foundation looks absolutely beautiful! Also your skin is looking great! Your skincare is is seriously working!
Thanks, Jessica! I tried looking at pictures online and couldn't tell some of the shades but I wonder if I try it using the photo I took before I dropped it, if that would be easier. I will try that!
This is my new favorite foundation for my dry skin! Looks beautiful on you! I always try to guess what grade it will get before you announce. 😊 Love the butterfly distraction too! ❤️
I'm enjoying it! I took it to Vegas with me for a week and it was plenty hydrating in the desert. I wish it wore a little longer on me but I'm definitely enjoying it!
I’m glad I’m not the only one that finds it drying!! Everyone loves it and yet every time I wear it I dislike it more and more. Ugh. Yes, my upper lip looks grody, too.
Let me know how you like it, Linda! I brought it with me for a week in Vegas and it was lovely. I wish it wore a little bit longer but even as I got totally dehydrated in the desert, it still looked beautiful.
I heard that too. The font doesn’t match and go with ABH style tho, I think it’s just ugly. But who cares, this foundation is the only one that suits my skin. But they could have made it much prettier design wise! Lol
This is the best looking foundation on peelies I've ever seen! I guessed your grade before you said it; a little game I play when I watch your foundation reviews. LOL I get it right about 9 out of 10. :-) Have a wonderful weekend!
Hi Janet! Here are all of my foundations, ranked: geekoutofwater.com/foundation-fest/ and on that page above the spreadsheet there are links to my top 10 lists - one is Hydrating :)
I got a sample from Sephora. I also was told my color was 130 which the store did not have. The clerk got 120N it matched me perfectly. I don't know about the testing machine???😒. Well I used it today, & I loved it. Might end up purchasing it tomorrow after I wear it one more day. It made my dry skin look super nice 😀 & with 20% off @ Sephora sale. I think this is the one to buy. 😍❤ing it. Thanks For the review
I'm debating buying a winter shade with the 20% off sale! :) I wore this all week last week on my Vegas trip and it still looked beautiful even as my skin got more and more dehydrated in the desert.
Hi Shelly, the foundation looks great on you. I selected a shade in store. 5 out of 5 Sephora associates matched me to 130N. We swatched shades 110C, 120W, 130N, 140N, 150W and 160C to be sure. I like the formula very much!
I'm very much enjoying this one! I wore it all week at a conference in Vegas and it held up wonderfully even as I got more and more dehydrated. I can't keep up with 4% humidity but this foundation can!
Hi Shelly! This seems like a nice luminous foundation. I thought it looked nice on you! I got a sample but haven’t tried it out yet. I’m jealous of that rain you had coming down! It’s been so hot and dry here in the California desert, I would love a down pour of rain! I love cold weather and rain! I love wearing sweatshirts! I’m ready for winter, can you tell? LOL. Have a great weekend!🌺🌺🌺
You did it! Thank you!! I had this in cart & after the Kevyn, decided to set it aside for a bit. Oooo the peeling skin edge! Has my interest. I tried a sample of your beloved ilia & really liked it. Do you think they preform similarly? Butterflies are amazing this year! Swallowtails, Monarchs, Zebratails. So fun, like flies where I walk.
I'd say yes - similar performance between the ABH and Ilia, slightly more coverage from the ABH. Very similar finish and look to the skin and both degrade gracefully (and neither wears quite as long as I'd like). I brought the ABH to Vegas for a week and it was beautiful even as my skin got more and more dehydrated. Now that I know where things are already planted at the new house I have big plans for next spring for a butterfly garden!! We have a lot of daffodils in the spring which the deer ignore but I figure there must be more I can plant that they won't eat, or maybe surround some wildflowers with lavender or something they don't like the smell of.
Loving your green necklace! Did you get that in Ireland? I did not care for this on my dry old wrinkly face. You looked great in it albeit shiny. Thanks for your review!
This looks like a good one. I checked the labeled ingredients, and i don’t see any natural or artificial fragrance. The thing with fragrance is that beyond bothering one’s nose or producing a headache, I find it is often irritating to my mild rosacea. I’m going to check this one out.
I brought it with me for my week in Vegas and it's lovely. I wish it wore a little longer on me but it does fade gracefully. I've got a good 6 or 7 wears in now (and so far it has worked with every primer I've tried it with, so - the TF Hangover spray, the Elf balm, and a variety of silicone primers both high end and drugstore).
Thanks for the review! I think the shade you have is a great color match for your skin. I found it too drying but it’s really pretty on you. Your eyes look great! Have you looked at the website to see if you put the colors back correctly in your eye palette?😊
Thanks, Stephanie! I couldn't tell some of the shades apart online but now I'm thinking, I did take one photo before I dropped it and maybe it will be easier to tell the shades from my picture of the exact palette.
I personally had a hard time with color matching. I got pretty close but ultimately decided not to keep it. My skin is on the dry side and I’m 41. I did prime before applying and it did blend out easily. After finishing my makeup I used a setting spray and at first it looked good but less then a hour in my forehead was looking patchy and weird and even with primer I was getting the polka dotting on my nose pores. I wanted to like it and I don’t know if it’s just me but I was sadly disappointed.
I like what I’m seeing. I’m having such a difficult time choosing my next foundation. It’s (as of now) between this, the Fenty, The Kosas, and CT’s Light Wonder. Oh, and Nudestix Tinted Blur Stick. How does the Light Wonder handle dry patches? Any thoughts? Sorry for bombarding you with questions, lol. Thanks a bunch, beeeautiful🍃🌸 I’m interested to see how the new Milk stick foundation does.
Okay, it's on my list. I love the way it looked on your skin, which means I can extrapolate and assume it will look equally lovely on mine (ha ha). Yup, kicking myself over the Kevyn Aucoin which just slides around and removes at a touch. I've tried it with the Dior Backstage and the L'Oreal Magic Touch primers. I may try a couple of others in a desperate attempt to rescue my $68 folly, but so far I'd give it less than your B. It's in the C range for me. But I will most definitely be getting the ABH. It's apparently the foundation time of year. I want to see your take on the new Charlotte Tilbury.
I heard somewhere that the "FOUNDATION" is on there so it's easy for makeup artists to find in their bag, or it's a reference to that in a way - but who knows. The peeling is my absolute WORST problem, so good to know this one works for that!
Good morning, Shelly. I'm a new subscriber, thank-you for all of the foundation reviews. I'm 46, with dry and sensitive skin, your wear tests and demos are helpful. Are you considering trying the new Fenty foundation? (I lived in Hampton 1986-90, my brother lives in Hayes)
@@goow I got a sample, I've worn it for 2 day's. I use Australian Gold mineral SPF &Kiehl's moisturizer, no primers. Excited to hear how it wears for you.
I was happy to see that it held up for me really well, especially considering how much I touch my face. Didnt settle into wrinkles and only had to touch up, after 8 hours, around my mouth and nose, which is where I touch my face a lot. And just so you know, it is definitely waterproof. I splashed my face with water before washing and the water beaded up, so I patted my face to dry and there was extremely minimal transfer! For reference, I'm 45 with normal to dry skin
Thanks, Emily! I suspect they're totally going to nail the fair shades, too, if people can ever get their hands on them. I brought this to Vegas for a week and it was beautiful even as my face got more and more dehydrated in the desert 😂
I'm so late to this foundation lol but between this and the pur 4 in 1, which do you prefer? I am in the market for a new foundation and between these two... I saw you gave Pur a better rating A over A- for this one, but I am curious what your opinion is now a year and a half later, thanks! Ps just found your channel!
I wear the PUR a lot more often and now have 3 shades of it, so I'd say the PUR but it's not a huge difference (if you were to get a good sale on the ABH for example I bet you'd still be happy!)
hi, shelly! great look - i liked the foundation on you. the bottle may say FOUNDATION!! but it was a really pretty natural look on you, imho. so tempted but d.d. budget here. really pretty eye also. i love watching butterflies too. we get quite a lot on monarchs here. have a delightful weekend. trying to get over a bug here. hoping for a good day tomorrow. ~k
Hey Karen! How's it going?! Have you tried the Cover Girl TruBlend Matte Made yet? It's totally not matte on me and I only brought this ABH and the Cover Girl with me for a week in Vegas. It's a great foundation and totally held up to the heat out there. Both wore great, really.
Shelly can you come with a video about your top ten most fav foundation & quick review about them or something like that??? Or if you did it already please let me know so i can check it... Thank you
Hi Asal! I have one but it's pretty old and a lot of great foundations have come out since then, so I definitely need to do an updated video! Here's my master list of all of the foundations I've reviewed, ranked by score. And on this page you can also print out my top 10 lists of various foundations (I have a list for drugstore, a list for high end, a list for hydrating, and a list for cruelty-free). geekoutofwater.com/foundation-fest/
@@goow O M G, thank u so so much, i checked your blog & that was really helpful ... You are doing great . I will definitely wait for you upcoming review too
Hi Shelly! Thanks so much for yet another fabulous review. I love your channel, you're amazing 🥰. I have a question about your skin situation. I have a bunch of skin stuff too, but I'm more combination than just dry. However, I can relate bec. I get these dry areas plus I have seborrheic dermatitis in my scalp & sometimes patches on my face & in my ears, it's nuts. About 5 weeks ago, I started to use the HUM Nutrition skin supplements & wow have they helped. Not sure if you have heard of them or tried them yet, but if you have dry skin especially I'd definitely recommend them. I use Skin Heroes, Red Carpet, Hair Sweet Hair, & Glow Sweet Glow. Some of the products I mentioned are for hair too, but they all work very well together...my skin is glowing which is crazy bec. I never look glowy, hormonal monthly acne is basically gone, dry areas are more hydrated, & my skin just looks more even. Hair is shinier too! I used a good skincare line, so I think in conjunction with my Paul's Choice and other products these supplements have helped a lot. (Not trying to sell you on anything btw!), I really just wanted to say hello & toss out a recommendation for skin/hair supplements that have helped me when my skin is acting up. Thanks again for your awesome channel and I look forward to your future videos 🥰. XOXO Amanda
I hadn't heard of them and I just did their quiz - wow so many ways to customize! It's funny that you mention this because just today I was looking at my last bottle of Halo wondering if I should swap something out for a few months to compare the results. I might try Hum! Thanks, Beezer!
@@goow Wow, thank you so much for commenting back Shelly! This literally made my night, this is so cool. I am a total dork, sorry, lol. Oh, my name is Amanda btw, lol. But yes, HUM has sooo many options! I have never tried Halo, but I saw an ad for HUM and did that quiz too and I got some great options - there's a LOT to choose from, so I think that's awesome. I have to be super careful with the ingredients in my supplements bec. I'm allergic to the world, but HUM seems to be a great fit so far. Now if only I could find a foundation for my combination skin that I need in 4 weeks for my brother's wedding...stressssfullll....I've tried samples of a few things, but so far ehh. This Anastasia foundation looks great on your skin, but do you think it would work on combo skin? I am not a fan of super matte, but too dewy makes me greasy. My skin hates foundation, lol. Maybe I'll try this Anastasia one next. Anyway, I hope you like HUM if you try them! Thanks so much again for commenting back! :-)
@@goow LOL! I know, I did that too, I've tried a bunch of their supplements and I finally narrowed down my favorites! It's like being in a candy store, I want all of their products, hahaha! 🤣
The packaging makes me feel like Anastasia is yelling at me 😂. I've been trying to decide between this one and the Fenty foundation. I've already ordered the Charlotte Tilbury foundation in shade 3 cool. I have a feeling it may be too dark for me but we will see. I picked up a sample of the Fenty foundation in the shade 170 and it's looking to be a good shade match. Curious about what shades you're getting as I tend to wear the same foundation shades as you.
FOUNDATION!!!!!!!! LOL I have this one, I tried it with the LOOSE Charlotte Tilbury powder in light and I ruined it. I don't get that powder....its confusing me, have you tried it? I think its the magic powder or something like that 😳 So I have to try this foundation again with something Im already familiar with
I have that powder and it is confounding to me, too! It is either a miracle or a disaster! And I can't figure out why... if it's just the combo of products I use or what!
@@goow update on the FOUNDATION... I do really like it a lot. I am using the new ABH powder with it or the IT pores no more loose powder and its beautiful. as for the CT loose magic powder, I used it once all by itself, just swept it over clean prepped skin and it looked amazing. I don't know what the heck but I guess that's how ill keep using it!
Yep it's on my list! That bottle 😍😍😍 I've got shade 00C on my list but Sephora is out of stock - I've got an email notification set up for when it's back in stock!
If you see this comment, please, PLEASE, tell me where you got the star tee shirt that you wore in this video!?!? It is EVERYTHING💜💜💜 P.S. thanks for all the foundation reviews!
I also found that it wasn't too luminous. It's been working really nicely for me as well. Recently I've picked up 3 foundations, the ABH, Fenty and the MUFE powder foundation. I've enjoyed all 3 surprisingly. But the ABH one is the one I feel myself leaning towards. Maybe it's the gigantic FOUNDATION label that gets into my subconscious and tells me to use it 🤔😄
LOL it totally could be subliminally making you pick it!! I wore the ABH all week in Vegas and loved it. I have the new Fenty and the MUFE powder to review too!
Geek Out of Water - yay I cannot wait! I just got a sample of the ABH after ur review and I am liking it so far, I got 130, 150 as they are both pink toned (140 too peachy for me). Ur swatches are pretty accurate and helpful!
@@hammypie I like them both, but I lean a little more on the ABH side currently. I have normal to dry skin but like most people I can get a tad dewy in the summer. It's still hot where I live, and the ABH foundation seems to have slightly more lasting power to me. The Fenty foundation is a tiny (I mean very slight) bit more hydrating. But I really wouldn't call either one dewy. I feel like the ABH is a solid medium buildable coverage, and it can build up quickly if you apply too much. The Fenty is also medium, but a tad bit more sheer. The last thing is a personal issue, and it's the shade match. I have a good shade match in the Fenty, but I have a better match in the ABH. Keep in mind though that all of these differences are slight, but I do notice them. I hope that helps.
Hi ..... ! ..... New Sub here .... Yesterday I watched several of your foundation videos .... interesting and very informative .... I think that I need to try the Dior .... My skin type is like yours ... However ... I am old so I have wrinkles ---- really old and lots of wrinkles --- So .... My question is ... I recently got samples of the ABH ( per suggestions of the Sephora store manager as she off hand just knew my color ....210 and 220 N..... anyway the color was wrong or it oxidized because it went to a shade --- green tan --- Yeess not the color that I was going for .... just wondering ... have you heard of this foundation oxidizing ...? .... Seriously ticked off about it ...I don't really like that particular Sephora the parking is bad ..... Thanks for sharing ..... Hugs ..... Shirlene
Welcome, Shirlene! I've worn the ABH about a dozen times now and it hasn't oxidized on me, but occasionally I have issues with my foundation oxidizing when it doesn't agree with the sunscreen I have on underneath. Were you wearing sunscreen with the ABH? Something to check. I'd say the Dior Forever Skin Glow is similar to the ABH - maybe a little bit less coverage, but similar luminous finish. I'd pick the Dior over the ABH with a slight edge.
@@goow ..... Thanks that is great cause I just earlier today picked up a sample of the Dior Forever Skin Glow in 2 CR ... I am excited to try it tomorrow .... today I am trying out Cover FX P 40 ..... it's kinda okay I am not fond of the consistency .... I like to put it on with my fingers ... and it drags .... Oh well ..... Hugs ..... Shirlene
Not bad. Seems like a long time since I've seen a foundation review that wasn't pretty darn mediocre, so yay for that at least (just a shame it's a $70 one here coz I don't quite think it's $70 gorgeous). The Revolution Pro Foundation Drops are still on the top of my wishlist - just wish I'd see some slightly more "mature" reviewers use it (hint hint). Wow that eye palette though - that's a survivor.... I wonder if the huda one it dupes woulda survived a fall like that. LOL.
I need to try those drops!! Ha I'm having visions of a drop test on the Huda. It's out of my budget to do that kind of video to just destroy a palette (I'm suspecting that if the pans are glued in, they would not survive - the magnetic pans popping out took most of the force instead of the shadow inside the fixed pans, I'm thinking!) but that sure would be fun to film!!!
I am considering buying this foundation, so thank you for the review! It’s awesome trust you saw a butterfly they represent Powerful transformation, metamorphosis in your life, personality Moving through different life cycles Renewal, rebirth Lightness of being, playfulness Elevation from earthly matters, tuning into emotional or spiritual The world of the soul, the psyche A secondary meaning of the butterfly is about finding joy in life and lightness of being.
I had better luck with it in Vegas, surprisingly! I was there for a week and wanted to see if the low humidity would make it too drying on me, but it was fine!
Would enjoy a sample of this to see if I can color match. FOUNDATION in large font, could be practical for working, makeup artists. LOL, I don't store my foundation in the center of the room, with all sides visible, so that would not bother me. To each his/her own 💜.
Ahhhh that makes sense! Every time I see the bottle, I think it's yelling at me. 😂 But it is beautiful - I wore it a bunch for a recent week away at a conference.
You could look the pallet up and get them back into place My luck it would’ve shattered I really should pick the alter ego pallets up they’re so beautiful so many people are raving about the quality
There are a few shades that look similar and I gave up trying to figure them out 😂They're so worth checking out - very reliable formula from one palette to the next.
That font on Foundation is so unappealing and clashes with the logo on the other side. It seriously bugs me. So much that I know better than to buy it, because it would just sit there, annoying me 😂 love the finish though!
I feel like FOUNDATION is trying to be, I don't know, maybe sporty? Or super-hero-y? But it just doesn't seem like the right vibe, especially with the classy scripted logo font on the other side. I'm right there with you. I wore it all week at a conference and still shake my head every time I reach for the bottle.
This is my favorite foundation but I can’t always afford to buy it because it’s so pricey. I wish I could find a dupe. It’s literally the easiest foundation to apply. Worth the money.
I brought it with me for a week in Vegas and I love it but the bottle still makes me shake my head every time I reach for it! Like I'm going to forget what's in it......
I thought the shade match was excellent. At 55, this is too lumin5for me to try, but I thought it looked great on you. Also, on camera, it degraded very nicely.
This one looks pretty so I think I'll grab a sample. Admittedly, the bottle saying "foundation" in giant font drives me nuts because it is just unnecessary, lol.

Very smooooth! :) I wondered if with some foundations if using a brush makes the peeling skin more noticeable by brushing up the rough edges of those areas? Just spit ballin'. :D
Yep I think that's often the case, especially the less expensive brushes that are cut on the ends instead of natural ends.
Thank you for championing the plight of maturing dry skin! Your videos are very helpful. 😊💐

Please do a review of the Fenty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Longwear Foundation
I think UPS just brought it today! :-D
The color match is perfect. I'm currently loving this. I don't think it lasts as long as they say it does, but considering that I have pretty dry skin, it works pretty well.
It looks beautiful on your skin, Shelly. Very smooth and natural.
I think I'll be sticking with it for awhile.

Let me know how you like it, Linda! I brought it with me for a week in Vegas and it was lovely. I wish it wore a little bit longer but even as I got totally dehydrated in the desert, it still looked beautiful.
the big FOUNDATION font is for makeup artists who keep it in their kit. It apparently makes it easier to see and grab
That makes sense!
bjorn Olson I think it’s hilarious. Foundation is obvious... nothing looks like a foundation in a bottle.
I heard that too. The font doesn’t match and go with ABH style tho, I think it’s just ugly. But who cares, this foundation is the only one that suits my skin. But they could have made it much prettier design wise! Lol

I love stopping by your channel...you are truly hilarious. Love your content and how you present it.
Thank you girl! Was stuck between 2 different brands but you helped sell me on this one!
Hoodie weather is THE BEST WEATHER!! :-D
Beautiful eye shadow on you!
Thanks for the review! The foundation looked great on you! You live in a very beautiful place BTW- it’s sooo green there!!!
Thanks, Shelly! I love it here - I'm in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia :)
You did it!
I was wondering about the pretty necklace too.
I did! There's a vendor every year at the Galway market that sells Connemara marble jewelry. I picked it up from her :)
Shelly, may be just look at a picture of the Alter Ego palette and place the shadows in the correct place. Or are they difficult to distinguish? 🤔
There are a few that are similar and I can't tell them apart from the pictures! 😂
Will you be getting the new to the U.S. Guerlain L’Essentiel foundation? It’s quite good!
I've got shade 00C on my list but Sephora is out of stock - I've got an email notification set up for when it's back in stock!
“No flashback. No trans fats. Cholesterol free.”
And gluten free! 😁😁😁
Looks great on you!
yes, love the eyeshadow. those colors are amazing!!!
Thanks, Boo!
Thanks a bunch, beeeautiful🍃🌸
I’m interested to see how the new Milk stick foundation does.
There are so many coming out right now!! I haven't tried the Light Wonder yet (and I need to order the new one!)
Ulta is about to have it on sale, I might give it a try!
I just love your eye looks! So beautiful!
Thanks, Tammy!
Looking forward to fenty hydrating foundation review.... amd the milk makeup foundation stick one
Fenty just arrived this afternoon! I ordered shade 170. Coming soon!
Love your videos very informative. Thank you.
Thanks, Janet!
There are soooooo many new foundations!! I am ordering the CT for sure :)
Been loving your videos all week long! Great look! Definitely "gasp worthy"
Thanks, Jeanne!
I heard somewhere that the "FOUNDATION" is on there so it's easy for makeup artists to find in their bag, or it's a reference to that in a way - but who knows. The peeling is my absolute WORST problem, so good to know this one works for that!
That would make sense!
Hi Shelly! I think that lip combo looks great on you! A successful foray from your comfort zone!
Thanks, Jasmine!
Welcome, Heather! Yep the Fenty just arrived! I ordered shade 170. High five, Virginia! :-D
@@goow I got a sample, I've worn it for 2 day's. I use Australian Gold mineral SPF &Kiehl's moisturizer, no primers. Excited to hear how it wears for you.
Thank you for the review!! This foundation looks really beautiful on you!
Thanks, Red!
That is good to know - thanks for the experiment!!
How do you find the shade 140n itisnt peach tone? Its blend well ? I m turning between 140 n and 200w
Thank you
I think the 140n looks more like a pink undertone than peach to me, though they describe it as peach. 200w definitely looks more yellow to me.
That foundation looks beautiful on your beautiful face! Ugh every stockist is out of 100N
@@goow THANK YOU!! 🥰🥰 I appreciate the honest feedback, and so glad I found your channel!
hi, shelly! great look - i liked the foundation on you. the bottle may say FOUNDATION!! but it was a really pretty natural look on you, imho. so tempted but d.d. budget here. really pretty eye also. i love watching butterflies too. we get quite a lot on monarchs here. have a delightful weekend. trying to get over a bug here. hoping for a good day tomorrow. ~k
Hey Karen! How's it going?! Have you tried the Cover Girl TruBlend Matte Made yet? It's totally not matte on me and I only brought this ABH and the Cover Girl with me for a week in Vegas. It's a great foundation and totally held up to the heat out there. Both wore great, really.
@@goow no but i now want to - i was apprehensive that the matte might be too drying. i'll check into it. i think i have coupons too! kismet! ~k
I will definitely wait for you upcoming review too
Thank you for the review ❤
Ooh, this one is definitely intriguing enough for me to pick up a sample. My peelies want to put it to the test!
Definitely! Let me know how it goes, Alicia!!
I'm definitely going to try HUM! I'm trying to decide what combo to start with. I think I answered too many things on the quiz that I want to fix 😂😂😂
LOL right???! Nobody taught them that all caps is SHOUTING! Ha I ordered 170 in the Fenty :) It just arrived today.
@@goow I wore the Fenty foundation for the first time today. Good shade match and I didn't feel dry at all. I bet you're gonna like it!
Any plans on testing the new Guerlain foundation??
I hope so! I've got shade 00C on my list but Sephora is out of stock - I've got an email notification set up for when it's back in stock!
I thought u where my age, I’m 36. Your skin looks so young. Love your reviews btw. A new subscriber 😀
Thanks!! Welcome, Guldligan! If you haven't seen my foundation list yet, I've got them all ranked - geekoutofwater.com/foundation-fest/
please PLEASE try and test the Guerlain L' Essentiel Natural 16 hour new foundation xoxo
It is EVERYTHING💜💜💜
P.S. thanks for all the foundation reviews!
It was from Kohls but I don't see it on their web site anymore! I got it maybe 6 months ago or so.
Thank you!
Maybe it's the gigantic FOUNDATION label that gets into my subconscious and tells me to use it 🤔😄
T Hynson how does the fenty compare??
It’s awesome trust you saw a butterfly they represent Powerful transformation, metamorphosis in your life, personality
Moving through different life cycles
Renewal, rebirth
Lightness of being, playfulness
Elevation from earthly matters, tuning into emotional or spiritual
The world of the soul, the psyche
A secondary meaning of the butterfly is about finding joy in life and lightness of being.
I'm always happy when I see them!
Yay! I’ve been waiting on you to review this foundation to see what you think about it and see what shade you use!! Thank you for your review!
I'm tempted to buy a shade lighter for winter with the Sephora sale :-D
Lovely top! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks!! Truth be told, I think it was from Walmart!
You’re are funny!!! The foundation looks really good. It doesn’t look drying on you. Looks luminous and I’m surprised that it felt tight. 👍🏼
I had better luck with it in Vegas, surprisingly! I was there for a week and wanted to see if the low humidity would make it too drying on me, but it was fine!
Can you try the new Guerlain?
Hi Ann! Yep it's on my list! I might grab it with the Sephora sale that popped up unexpectedly :-D
Would enjoy a sample of this to see if I can color match. FOUNDATION in large font, could be practical for working, makeup artists. LOL, I don't store my foundation in the center of the room, with all sides visible, so that would not bother me. To each his/her own 💜.
I think the contrasting styles between the two sides is what gets me. 😂
ABH said it was for makeup kits for artists to be able to quickly identify and grab but my first reaction was the same as yours. FOUNDATION. Lollllol
I have a blue butterfly tattooed 0n my back!
Ooooh that makes me want a blue butterfly tattoo!
Shelly, how many times do you need to retake your intro on Fridays? I'd be tripping over my own words!😂
LOL the irony is that when I have to re-do it, it's usually because the word "Hello" came out sounding awkward 😂 the rest comes out no problem!
I got Vanna White vibes when you flipped the foundation to "FOUNDATION". Lol.
HA I should find that Wheel of Fortune bell sound effect 😂
Fantastic Darling ❤️🙏🇮🇳
That FOUNDATION is odd.. I know that's beside the point.. but i got distracted
Could this be my answer? You were so right on the Urban decay 👎 Great video, I'm so excited to try this "FOUNDATION" 😉🤯👍
I brought it with me for a week in Vegas and I love it but the bottle still makes me shake my head every time I reach for it! Like I'm going to forget what's in it......
Enjoyed
Thanks, Elvira!
Ok now that’s a beautiful FOUNDATION, especially compared to that Kevin Aucoin cr*p. This entire face look is very pretty.
Thanks, Elizabeth! And, you'll never forget that it's FOUNDATION! Bonus! 😂
I thought the shade match was excellent. At 55, this is too lumin5for me to try, but I thought it looked great on you. Also, on camera, it degraded very nicely.
Thanks, Lori! I brought this one with me for a week in Vegas to see if it could hold up to a dehydrated version of me, and it was wonderful.
HIIIII 👋
Hey Goose!!! See ya in a couple months!!
This one looks pretty so I think I'll grab a sample. Admittedly, the bottle saying "foundation" in giant font drives me nuts because it is just unnecessary, lol.
And when you start comparing it to their logo font on the other side, your head might explode... it's driving me nuts!!
I like this foundation, but at £42 (around US$55) here in the UK, I'll pass.
Are you sure that's foundation? :)
😂😂😂 I know which one to buy when I start forgetting what makeup is!
The "FOUNDATION" just cheapens the packaging. Hopefully, ABH will not print it when they realize that no one likes it.
I still shake my head every time I reach for it!
I like it. It's supposed to be pop art vibes like Andy Warhol.
Wow anything that hides the peels like that is amazing. This is very appealing. Lol sorry
😂😂😂
Shelly, I just learned that Marilyn Monroe used Vaseline as a primer. Do you think you’d be interested in taking that method for a test spin?
Holy cow! I wonder if it would give me milia? My face goes whacky when a moisturizer is too rich for me. I will investigate this!
Geek Out of Water Don’t use it as a moisturizer. Use it on top of your moisturizer as a primer (just the tiniest amount).
Hello!
I’m glad I’m not the only one that finds it drying!! Everyone loves it and yet every time I wear it I dislike it more and more. Ugh. Yes, my upper lip looks grody, too.
