Yes, I'm still here! Haven't been playing GTA much in quite a while though. I might be considering giving it a rest. 9 years and way too many hours on one game, so it's been a great, long ride.
Atmosphere... good question. Probably not the one in Paleto Bay where the dog tried to kill me, ha ha! I feel like the Strawberry one reminds me of an auto garage feel (more than a salvage yard) so that has a realistic touch to it, but I like the open parking lot at the Murietta Heights one too. I guess it depends what's more important to you.
@@Champlette2 Thank you for your quick reply! As you said, Strawberry has the best atmosphere, but it's not facing the main street and is very small. You should decide based on your own sensibilities, but I feel that Salvage Yard has its pros and cons. Thank you again! have a nice day!

@@Champlette2I'll still be looking forward to all your videos on GTA 6. 😊 For now I'll be getting the strawberry chop shop after watching your video. Like you I don't really play much anymore. I've only been playing GTA for about a year. Every property I've bought has been after watching your videos. No one else shows all the details like you. Keep up the good work!
Murrieta location won for me. It has the easiest access with the wide open lot and also is basically an almost direct drive to the docks. Have to consider the tow truck access as well as the car itself. I suspect its a bit of a tight turn in at the Strawberry location. Spawn points are close also. My auto warehouse is right there as well so extra good for me. IT is a bit distant from ammunation but I usually go to my agency to armor up anyway.
Murietta is a great location! I was impressed with that parking lot as well. If I had more businesses on the east side of town, I may have decided to keep that location when I did my video review. The only complaint I have so far about the Strawberry one is that there is no good place to park your personal vehicle near the door to the chop shop. Anywhere you park it, it will be in the way of the tow truck. There's not really an issue with a tight turn because you don't have to point straight at the door when you're entering in a vehicle or the tow truck, you only have to hit the yellow dot at the door.
I bought the one in Murrieta heights the area around the scrapyard is pretty big and its right next door to my vehicle warehouse, the car garage and the arcade and i have no problem with it, but anyways i love your guides.
Great to see you back. I was hoping you would give us the real run-down on the northern locations. It seemed like all the other commenters immediately voted for the the Strawberry location and we are still weeks away from getting all the possible missions. It would be nice if R* utilized the north more if for no other reason than to spread the player base out. I plan to wait a bit and see if that happens. Once again, nice to see you back and thank you.
Thank you very much! I have to be honest, though. When I first logged in the day after the DLC, I started to look at the map to see where the Salvage Yards were and I didn't even notice the two in Blaine County at first! I almost started to make a video about the 3 in the city but thankfully I took another look at the site and saw the other two. That was a near miss of a boo boo!

I picked Stawberry and Im 100% happy... From the leaks there will be a job at the Clucking bell so that might be a long drive when that hapens for me and the Palito bay people will like that one
Ah, you're right. Maybe having a salvage yard in Paleto Bay might pay off for them at some point, provided they don't get killed by the guard dog first. ;)
@@williamhaynes7089 I do have a PC account, but I haven't played that one since the big DLC a year or so ago when they added the ray tracing on the PS5. The reflections are amazing. I can't believe they're never released that on the PC. It doesn't make sense. They're alienating a lot of GTA players on the PC by not giving them the same updates.
@Champlette2 I like my account I have, I'm Not a console player.. you can't transfer your account even if you wanted to. With a game that's 10 years old, I wouldn't want to invest the time in starting over. If I played on ps4 I would simply go buy a ps5.. you get the idea
@@williamhaynes7089 True. I'm in the minority, I think, because I enjoy starting a character over from scratch. I've done it several times with my secondary character, even without using the cash that came from my primary character. I think it's fun to start over just to remember what it was like when your character had nothing. I've created two PC characters (gave one to my husband so we could play together on the PC), two primary PS4 characters, and several secondary characters.
i own la puerta and i m gonna move to strawberry. la puerta feels like an iconic location but driving or flying in and out is a drag. bump your head of the mk2, fall off and repeat. no gangattacks over there tho. thanks for this great vid!!!
Thank you! I'm at Strawberry and I love the convenience of the location, but I do wish there were more parking options. It's also a bit tight in that driveway when you're bringing in a tow. I've gotten one or two of them stuck, but I managed to recover. My friend had the Salvage Yard way out east and he said the tows and the missions were a lot longer since it's so far to the east. He moved back to Strawberry.
When i first saw Murrieta Heights i automatically bought that one...its in the same yard as my Import Export business 😊😊😊😊 I like how every TH-camr went and bought the most expensive which turned out to be the worst one in the city because of the gang attack. 😂😂😂
I picked that one too right off the bat!! I didn't want to deal with Strawberry in the hood or the original scrapyard due to the business battle that take place right there. It gave me Casio vibes....constant shoot outs and grifers.
I'm not a fan either. I don't mind them if I'm in the mood to try a gang attack, but I don't like it when I'm forced to do them because I happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I initially thought I would end up with La Puerta just because I love having my vehicle warehouse there and I've already proven that it's tied for the best in shortest delivery distances of all of the vehicle warehouses, but I just hate that junkyard where the Salvage Yard is, and having the gang attack at the entrance was a deal breaker.
Thank you!! I mostly just make videos about properties and locations. That's why you haven't seen me for a while, because we haven't gotten any new properties in a long time. Sadly I don't get enough playing time to get really good at the mechanics of all of the different things you can do in the game, so I wouldn't have much that's relevant to add for the gameplay stuff anyway.
I bought the Strawberry yard but ended up swapping to Murietta Heights simply because I use the Oppressor Mk 2 for all my business activity transport - the Strawberry yard has overhead pipework near the entrance that makes the approach & landing just a little bit more annoying than it needs to be. Not a big deal but I thought the annoyance factor would grow over time. The Murietta site is nice and open
That's a very good point. I use my Mk2 a lot too and things like that will likely annoy me also. I have heard a lot of players here saying how much they like Murietta, so I'm sure that's a good choice too. I liked that one a lot too, I just don't have other businesses near there so it wasn't as convenient for me as Strawberry.
I did buy the Sandy Shores one for one of my characters, but only because she has the MC Clubhouse across the street. Thought it would be convenient, and I was...wrong...
I was really curious about that. I've only done one car "heist" so far from the Strawberry location and it sent me to Paleto Bay and Grand Senora for some of the setups, so I was curious if having the Sandy Shores salvage yard would have helped in these cases. I'm guessing you would have had to go somewhere in LS when I was sent up north. I'm sure it just sends you far away for those missions, no matter where you start from.
I will have to wait for a discount to buy a salvage yard since I heard from people like Digital Car Addict that the amount of money you'll be making from the robberies is not worth the full price (robberies are currently only limited to a maximum cap of 3 per IRL WEEK which is a bad & dumb move on R*'s part). That's the most ridiculously long cool down ever. Because R* is restricting the amount of money we can get from the robberies, money wise the salvage yard still remains a gimmick and the contracts from the auto shop still makes it the better business.
i feel you, i am a big DCA fan too. i am on the fence, which is why i haven't bought it yet. i usually wait til everything goes on discount but i am semi retired anyway sitting on 30 mil or so and every property, business (except doc forgery), and all the aircraft and vehicles i want
@@Ventuura Thanks! Unfortunately, life has a way of keeping me too busy to play or make videos as much as I used to, but I at least try to keep up with the property reviews.
I bought the Murrieta yard. Basically most of my business are near the eastern area of the city (Nightclub, Arcade, Import/Export, Ceo Crates with the Mission Row Auto Shop being the farthest.)
Champlette who? Champlette Two!!! On the PlayStation network! Good to see you again with another helpful video Champlette! I completely forgot about animals being in online after you nailed that doggo with your bike! I'm still stuck on last gen so there's alot of content I'm missing out on. Like the new personal vehicle management menu that is used to move your cars around different garages. It's also unfortunate that Rockstar added a new 100 car garage only for GTA+ members. I would really like to hear your opinions on these topics in a video Champlette. I remember years ago you did a "Disappointing Things" video for Smugglers Run. Maybe you could do one for this update talking about things that grind your gears?
Hmmm... that's an idea. I think it's awful that so much of what has been released lately isn't available for last gen and for the PC. I have a lot of PC players on my Discord who are very upset about it too. About the 100 car garage, I understand Rockstar offering "free" stuff to the GTA+ people, but I'm very unhappy that they're offering things exclusively to them. They should still let us buy that garage if we want it. I will give some thought to your idea for a video. Sadly I don't get as much play time (or video making time) as I used to, so we'll have to see how it goes. Nice to see you again!
I think they should have put one at Hayes autos in davis because there is a massive pile of scrap cars in the alley next to it. Only one of the locations they picked is actually a scrapyard
Hey! It's great to see you too! Thanks for finding your way back to my channel. Sorry it's been a while. If Rockstar would just give us more properties, I'd post more often, ha ha!
@@asazin100 Thanks! I considered that, but just never got around to it. I don't really collect or sell special cargo anymore, so I don't really know which locations are better, other than just for convenience.
@@asazin100 Oh yes, it is a good business. The only reason I haven't played it much is because it was the very first business in GTA so I played it quite a lot back then. I don't have much time to play these days, so I usually just stick to businesses where I can buy supplies and just make sales.
I was able to drive one personal vehicle into my salvage yard garage, but it can't be permanently assigned to stay in there, though. When I left and called the mechanic, I still saw my Stafford in the list of the garage where I have always kept it. The salvage yard is not an option in the list of garages when you call the mechanic on your phone.
I'm sure you're not alone. I think most players assume the most expensive one will be the best. It definitely pays to consider things like accessibility and convenience before you buy a property.
I personally love the Strawberry location. Literally right between my Auto Shop and Nightclub, plus all of the nearby amenities like you said. Ammu-nation, Benny's, Clothing Store, etc
Awwwww, thank you!! Unfortunately I barely get any time even just to play lately, but I'll be sure to find some time to make a video when a new property comes out.
Oh no, I didn't know that part about the heist vehicle. Surely you can sell it after you complete your open heist? I'm so sorry to hear that. So when you're in the missions, damage to your vehicles does count against you? I was thinking it might, but I haven't done any of the missions yet.
@@Champlette2 yes you can sell the vehicles to be able to buy another location. I still don't sell my car , there are only 5 heists and 4 spots inside for these kind of heist vehicles , and you can only do one heist per week XD, but hey there is a shortcut over the highway in this expensive location, if you find the right spot you can reach easily the place from the highway , but requieres practice XD
@@PLOSSRH Yes I recall that spot on the freeway. I have sometimes parked my Vigilante up on that freeway and boosted NPC cars off it through that gap in the wall... ha ha!!
Hmmm... do they usually discount businesses that much when they're still fairly new? I was thinking it's usually more like 10 or 20% off when the business is relatively new. I certainly could be wrong, though.
I hate the missions for this dlc. The cops are always chasing you, even for the lame scouting job where your required to take the 3 photos. Apparently its illegal to take photos in this game. I much prefer the auto shop missions.
In most of the preps the cops seem unusually easy to escape for some odd reason compared to others. Harder i the finale's but seems like every one of them is close to a tunnel of some kind.
Yeah, I've heard the cops chase you a lot. I haven't tried the missions myself yet, but I suppose heading to Blaine County might give you many opportunities to lose the cops.

The experience definitely has improved since then, and I’d say that it’s playable now, but every now and then I still encounter a hacker. Rare, but still an occurrence. Side note, the lobbies have been horrible lately. Some days they’re fine, but the last two days it’s been constant crashing. I’ve resorted to invite only for the time being.
Your videos are so thorough, I love it! BTW, all GTA weather runs on a global timer (all platforms, all players), so you can look up what the weather is and when it's gonna change on GTALens /weather
What a fantastic tip! I knew the weather was the same on all platforms (I sometimes play on PC too) but I never knew you could look it up! When I recorded the game footage to go with my real life video footage for my GTA Real Life Tour video, I had to wait such a long time to get daylight without rain in the game. This is a huge tip. Thanks so much!!
I always wait for one of your videos before buying any property. You give the best reviews and opinions. Glad you're still here with us Champlette! Happy Holidays!
Yeah, new properties usually bring me back to TH-cam. ;) Happy Holidays to you too, and thanks for hanging in there with me!!

I still haven't tried them yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
I was hoping you'd come back to youtube. Missed you
I never really left you! Just took Rockstar a long time to give us new properties for me to review. I missed all of you too!
i like the la puerta chop shop cause it looks more like a jumk yard. its even got a tank at the entrance 😂
Yes for looks, you're absolutely right. That's a legitimate junk yard.
Good to see you’re still around 😊
Yes, I'm still here! Haven't been playing GTA much in quite a while though. I might be considering giving it a rest. 9 years and way too many hours on one game, so it's been a great, long ride.
It was good to see you again. Thank you for your wonderful videos! Ignoring usability, which property do you think has the best atmosphere?

@@Champlette2will you be doing another video after you do a few missions ?
@@thecarguy2470 No, probably not. I don't make a lot of strategy videos unless it's an area that I thought was under served in TH-cam. I don't get to play for very long anymore either, so it will likely be a while before I ever finish a mission.
I did Strawberry since it's like 1 block away from my Auto Shop
giiiirl we miss u ❤
Aw thanks!! I'm never very far away. ;)
I bought the one in Murrieta heights the area around the scrapyard is pretty big and its right next door to my vehicle warehouse, the car garage and the arcade and i have no problem with it, but anyways i love your guides.
Thanks so much! Murrieta Heights was a great choice. Congrats!
Omg you're back! Yaay!! 🎉🎉🎉
I never left you! :) Thanks for hanging with me all this time.
Nice to see you back champlette
I never really left. They just hadn't given us any new properties in a long time for me to make a video about. ;)
That's a good dog 2:05 🐕🦺 A another great video

Hi champlette, nice to see you again hope you're doing well 🎉
Doing great, and hope you are too!
Great video as always! What car were you driving at Muriata Heights / Strawberry?
Thank you! That was my Stafford. I love the livery on that car with the circles. It's a beauty.

hahahah that dog scene was funny. but good review as usual especially about the amenities
That dog scared me half to death!! I was not expecting him to bite me! Then again, I did hit the little guy (even if it was an accident) so I guess he had a right to bite me. ;)
@@Champlette2 hahaha yes that’s true and gta is revenge city so you did had it coming 😂😂😂😂. But what made it even funnier was he looked like he was going to run away and you came to comfort and got attacked.
Nice to see you back! I am definitely buying the Murrieta Heights location for this one, very detailed and informative video as always. Happy holidays!
Nice choice! If I have more businesses on the East side, I might have picked that one too. Happy Holidays and all the best to you in 2024!
Welcome back
Thanks so much! I never really left, just didn't have any new properties to review for a while.
Nice to see you back !!!!
Hey, thanks!
I picked Stawberry and Im 100% happy... From the leaks there will be a job at the Clucking bell so that might be a long drive when that hapens for me and the Palito bay people will like that one
Ah, you're right. Maybe having a salvage yard in Paleto Bay might pay off for them at some point, provided they don't get killed by the guard dog first. ;)
@Champlette2 if you play on Pc like I do... R* didn't bother to add animals so that wouldn't be an issue
I'm so glad to see you back I've been waiting for the update to see you back.
Hope u and ur family have a wonderful Christmas
Thank you very much! It's nice to be back. Wishing you and yours all the best for the holidays and in 2024!
When i first saw Murrieta Heights i automatically bought that one...its in the same yard as my Import Export business 😊😊😊😊
I like how every TH-camr went and bought the most expensive which turned out to be the worst one in the city because of the gang attack. 😂😂😂
I picked that one too right off the bat!! I didn't want to deal with Strawberry in the hood or the original scrapyard due to the business battle that take place right there. It gave me Casio vibes....constant shoot outs and grifers.
I don't deal with the gang attack so it's not the worst for me
I'm not a fan either.
6:10 The one I liked the most was that same one Where it is.
Yours is the only channel I've ever subscribed too! Welcome back!
Oh my gosh! I'm so honored! Thank you very much!
Glad to see you back! I used to love your how-to videos…think you might do some for the newer content?
Also, part of the chop shop business is driving a huge tow truck, so keep that in mind for the tight entrance spots
Yes that's what I was thinking when I made this video. Easy access to the garage door did seem like a very important factor to consider.
Yes! The GOAT is back! 😁

That's so sweet, thank you! I missed all of you too!
Thanks so much! This had all the info I needed :D
Awesome! So glad you found it helpful! I hope you'll come back for more property videos.
That sounds like pretty smart advice.
i feel you, i am a big DCA fan too. i am on the fence, which is why i haven't bought it yet. i usually wait til everything goes on discount but i am semi retired anyway sitting on 30 mil or so and every property, business (except doc forgery), and all the aircraft and vehicles i want
@@ashxc It's very smart to wait before buying new properties. I would too, except for needing to buy them to make videos right away.

That makes perfect sense. It's great to have your businesses centrally located.
I was wondering if you’re going to do a chop shop video after pretty long break. No one else is showing every location and mentioning all the details.
I was just waiting for a new business to review, but I'm still here! Thanks for watching again!
I think they should have put one at Hayes autos in davis because there is a massive pile of scrap cars in the alley next to it. Only one of the locations they picked is actually a scrapyard
Excellent suggestion!!
I really wish PC would get animals as well...
An excellent video as always...
Thank you so much! I'm so sorry about the PC releases. It just doesn't make any sense that Rockstar can't release these DLCs on the PC.

@@asazin100 Thanks! I considered that, but just never got around to it. I don't really collect or sell special cargo anymore, so I don't really know which locations are better, other than just for convenience.
@@Champlette2 oh, well thats sad i consider it is a really good business.
@@asazin100 Oh yes, it is a good business. The only reason I haven't played it much is because it was the very first business in GTA so I played it quite a lot back then. I don't have much time to play these days, so I usually just stick to businesses where I can buy supplies and just make sales.
is there personal vehicle storage spade available in the new salvage yards properties??
I was able to drive one personal vehicle into my salvage yard garage, but it can't be permanently assigned to stay in there, though. When I left and called the mechanic, I still saw my Stafford in the list of the garage where I have always kept it. The salvage yard is not an option in the list of garages when you call the mechanic on your phone.
strawberry the best location
I haven't seen how it helps or hurts in the missions yet, but I agree it's a great central location. I'm looking forward to trying it in the missions.

Lets go!!!!! Champlette i love this vid! Made my choice very easy.
Can't wait for you to do GTA IV content as well! *wink wink* 😊
Hey my Bestie! Still can't wait to hear which one you picked! See you in LS!
I got the most expensive without thinking, but now I swapped to Strawberry, much much better
I'm sure you're not alone. I think most players assume the most expensive one will be the best. It definitely pays to consider things like accessibility and convenience before you buy a property.

I regreted buying the expensive one XD , there are to many obstacles and you cant buy another one if you have a heist vehicle parked inside XD
I have sometimes parked my Vigilante up on that freeway and boosted NPC cars off it through that gap in the wall... ha ha!!
New dlc just came out but sad that they added only one location in the rural areas of LA I thought they would add one near sandy shores
I agree. I fully expected one in Sandy Shores or Grapeseed.
Salvage yards will be 30 -40 percent off in the future most likely which is like 500-800 thousand off
Hmmm... do they usually discount businesses that much when they're still fairly new? I was thinking it's usually more like 10 or 20% off when the business is relatively new. I certainly could be wrong, though.
I hate the missions for this dlc. The cops are always chasing you, even for the lame scouting job where your required to take the 3 photos. Apparently its illegal to take photos in this game. I much prefer the auto shop missions.
Uh oh... I haven't tried them yet.
Likely walked into a cone of vision, even the scope out for the police station left me without a wanted level.
In most of the preps the cops seem unusually easy to escape for some odd reason compared to others. Harder i the finale's but seems like every one of them is close to a tunnel of some kind.
