Another tip for livestock is my recommendation to get a Putit. Putit meat is made of Jelly as so it never rots. Putit eggs and milk are also made of Jelly and also never rot, so you can have Putit livestock and don't need any special containers to keep everything fresh so it's easier to stockpile those ingrediants.
@@kc_1384gotta get a monster ball Basically a general goods item or you can go to the capital building a bit north east of the meadow If you head up the fork in the road you can also hit the truce ground to pick up a god to apply the faith skill

Please keep up these guide videos, maybe some for some general systems tips and things, I think that could help new players to the Elin world. Thanks again and keep it up! 🎉
i take 2 days to undestand the livestock and the farming system alone, and you just made a twenty minutes video, thanks a lot, now the newbies can have a more easy time.
Finally, I found the channel I needed. I’m looking forward to your upcoming videos because there’s a lot a things that I don’t know about this game. Just a little suggestion: maybe add a note in description which version of the game you're playing. Since it’s still in early access, a lot of things will probably change in the future, and it’ll help viewers who watch later on.
One of the cheesiest way to recruit someone, is to play a succubus, and it gives you an ability to make a kind of worm. When you middle click the worm you can blend it with food, and it will work like an aphrodisiac, increasing the affinity with anyone who eats the infected food (you have to click the food as furniture, and then gift it, they will always eat it) What's silly, is that you can blend multiple worms into the same meal, increasing the efficacy of the food, so if you make a whole inventory of worms, blend them all into a single dish, and then gift that dish, they will be instantly at like 200 - 250 affinity with you.
@@Horxy Hi there! So as you start a new game you have an option to extra races and classes (lower right corner). Once you tick it, you can select succubus as your race.
As some additional advice there are bird nests that can be found in the wild, usually forest tiles. For the most part they have a small chance of dropping a regular egg. However, I recently found a fertilized egg from one of them, so that is potentially another way to get livestock.
Oh man, you are going to blow up with these videos. Elin is the brightest shining Diamond in the rough currently. Suuuch a good game yet there is very little info on it and too much to learn! Playing the game right now feels a little bit like experiencing dark souls before watching VaatiVidya video. It's a lot of fun to discover things together with the community.
The variety of possible playstyles is also my favorite part about the game. Spending every oren and gold bar on the fertility so far so hopefully we can get it even higher :)
Eating specific Species of enemies also give specific stat Some might raise Constitution(Horses and Kentaurs who are part of Horse race) Some might raise Charisma(Putits, PRETTY much your best early game Farm due to how fast they breed) And the rarest one is speed, in Elona it was already hard raising speed you have to eat Equipments made of Raw material that has Speed increase that you instead have to pray to one of the gods that raise your Speed since its with no question the best stat and then in Elin they made it EVEN HARDER but at least every enemy also has their speed reduced equal to how rare to increase it now to fit the combat balance more
You need food that specifically gives you a boost to stat potential. It will say like +2 End Potential. That means when you use actions that require that stat you gain more experience. You can see the effect on your character sheet it’s the base potential and should have a value of 100+
Have you thought about an entry level guide about spellcasting? There were a lot of things I wished I knew when I made my priestess, which includes how spell levels work, the fact that there is a skill in the mages guild that allows you to learn more spells trough a single reading of a book, how appraisal and literacy works (appraisal is especially important not to use cursed books right away) and about mana regen
Thank you for a great suggestion! It's definitely a topic worth covering. I was thinking about a guide on all the 'general skills', 'combat skills' etc but it would make more sense to compartmentalise just like you are saying.
Affinity gains when talking depend on your stats, and they stabilize at a certain point. If your stats are high, affinity will jump up until it hits the level your stats are on, and then it'll stay around there.
If the monster ball works the same way as in elona then you need 2 conditions to be fulfilled: 1: the level of the ball must be equal or higher than the lv of the npc 2: the npc must be near death. Point 1 can be avoided as you can simply go to dungeons of appropriate lvs but point 2 is usually kind of hard to achieve because depending on how dangerous the target it, it usually results in either you or the npc dying, also you if you do "ranching" you should consider the "anatomy" skill as it raises the chance of dropping parts when you kill "animals", in old elona the ranch animals also had higher chances of dropping stuff so I presume it's the same here. Surprisingly enough, consuming dogmeat doesn't reduce your karma but catmeat does, and you would be surprised how depressing finding kitties in elona is, they are neutral npcs found in dungeons, and in the textlog, you can see they are crying for their mom while longing for home, you can infer that they are either abandoned or their "mom" died somewhere in the wilds, imagine going into a dungeon full of monsters and you see a kitty crying "mom, where are you?" and when you talk to it they reply l "I'm going home", and when they get killed off screen you still hear them hoping for home in their last words, and technically speaking, even if you capture them they will always long for their lost homa and remain stays as all of their "offsprings" will be "normal" cats, even worse, their may be simply lost cats and their home and mom is alive in yowyn but you are the one to kill her as there's a quest where there's a monster that spawns cats
Thank you so much! That's some extremely useful info! I think it probably does work very similar to Elona (based on my limited experience with this mechanic), I will look into it. Appreciate all the input!
Hey quick question how does one get higher level wool/silk/dragon scales from their livestock? Sometimes i randomly get a +1 or +2 version is it aomething with how theyre taken care of? Or is just strictly tied to my taming level.
I think it might be related to your skill of 'taming'(Yowyn trainer). The same way farming skill is related to your crops level. It's either that or livestock slowly accumulating skill in 'breeding' after performing the job for months and years. I haven't had a chance to test it yet.
Oh that's amazing, thank you for letting me know! It's super valuable info. I have never found a fertilised egg in the nest before but I will give it a go!
I think it's intended. Similar thing happens when you convert altars to the ehekatl. I believe that all gods have their preferred materials. For instance, opatos of earth altars are extremely heavy.
I believe that farm sign is necessary for cultivation of crops under 'delegated farming' policy. You don't need the sign to cover the area of crops in order to get bonuses of 'soil fertility' though. For other job signs, it's mostly about where the npcs doing the job will hang around during 'work time'.
