That back wall is going to be a problem. Too much grade to deal with. Need to build up that way maybe only need to go up another 2 blocks high. Put drainage tile in. Cover it with gravel and dirt. Then lay sod over it. The part you had someone else clean you should regarded. It looks like it runs right into your building. This will cause problems down the road. Run another drainage tile down it. I think if you go down the middle it would take care of it. Any excess dirt could be used to cover your tile in back. It will help prevent any damage from water build up against the wall. And stop any water damage from happening down the road. The place is looking better already. But thinking long term and prevent from doing this all again. These little changes will help. Like you say keep moving forward.

@TjHunt you guys should consider building a shade port that covers the whole outside area you just cleaned so some of your cars/builds can park there when there is space needed inside or just stored there with no sunlight ruining the paint and for events/open houses you will host, there's lots of potential
Looks awesome! Only thing i would suggest would be security fencing and cameras, what with the laptop (that looked stolen and hidden) and the trash/poop. Would be awful to see a project or personal car damaged / stolen or delayed because key parts had been pinched. Also seen it on a few comments already but some art on your walls - even if it was your favourite tshirt graphics from the merch store would look amazing. And lastly should see if Meguiars would help you with a state of the art outside cleaning bay in that rear corner area. I also think Calvin needs an in house tailor with walk in wardrobe - the man has needs 😂. Really excited to see how this shapes out!

What was the building use for ? Before you. Top of the back wall should remove all the trees , put new grass and add flowers and small bushes, specifically a shrub plant.
First thing you need to take care of I believe is to stop transients from using your backlot as a toilet. Either add more cameras and lights or do something about the fencing. Besides, the less appealing you allow non-authorized access to your backlot, the better it is that you can keep anything out there without getting "lost" or vandalized.
Congrats on the new shop! I would recommend painting the walls you power washed. A solid color will make for a better backdrop when filming and really polish the exterior.

if the grass area above the wall is your property, I'd suggest removing the grass, bring the dirt level to the top of the wall and lay down some landscaping cloth and put black mulch over everything to match the brand and keep the maintenance to a minimum. I'd also suggest putting the same cloth and river rock down in that ditch along the side to clean that up a bit. if you don't intend on using that side at all probably do the black mulch there as well. The progress looks awesome!!
That big concrete pad is a great advertisement space maybe you can even sell some square footage to companies that would want to sponsor your videos to have there sign or banner, or something along those lines on top of that too you could paint or have banners of the stuff that you want to promote
I think a pro grade pressure wash is worth the investment. Also like the idea of a classy graffiti wall that conveys the company brand. Or just the brand logo itself. Nice way to support a local artist as well.

The soil above the wall, with the rain, will drag the leaves and mud along the wall. If possible, I would advise you to put 1 or 2 more rows of concrete blocks. If it is not possible then at least paint that wall with a material that prevents the appearance of mold. Clean the whole area and paint it, it will give it a refreshing look.
The more you trim those bushes you’ll have less debris falling into the back. Also where the trash is on the side of the building you need to put a fence up there where it’s closed off so you don’t have ppl throwing away no more trash there or wondering around. It’ll also keep it more private
its a catch 22 tho, take the bushes and shrubs out and the soil will wash into the lot more. they probably need some kind of drainage system. like a trench lined with sand then gravel or something against the wall. idk exactly

Ryobi have a pressure washing head that washes 12 or 14 inches at a time. Its works great to help speed up the process of cleaning the space your are working in.
@@tjhunt_ I would get some sodium hypochlorite and spray the walls and backlot with it. It will bring up the walls much better than the degreaser and it will also sanitize it at the same time.
Nice job on the clean up. What would really make that spot look good is some modest landscaping up above that concrete wall. Nothing crazy just so it looks presentable. 👍
Put mulch or rock above the wall in between the bushes and stuff, paint the wall with company logos etc and maybe even a designated photo corner/spot for the cars! Once completely clean maybe fence off the trash alley and make a spot for the pups! No matter what gets done this place is going to be amazing I can already tell! Cant wait for what you got coming
If you's don't feel like painting the back wall and just want to clean it up a little better look for caustic soda in Lowes/Target/Walmart etc. I've used it for years to clean granite, marble and concrete and it removes rust stains, lime runs and should help lift the graffiti really well as well. 2 cups per gallon of water and just brush it on. Leave for 5 minutes and pressure wash off. Can't wait to see the new digs when its all finished up! Keep er lit.

Definitely paint the stone walls white so it gives a cleaner and larger presence to the property and makes a good background for vehicles. The ground can be resealed and cleaned with the pavement black paint to set a cleaner presence.

That wall out back is a perfect canvass for some really cool art related to the brand. Would be a really nice spot for shooting product launches and cars.
Your going to want to add a fence on top of the brick wall to stop anyone from accessing the rear of the building easily. The side where all the trash is stone it and use it for trailer parking, or drop a couple sea containers and cut in a door so you can go from shop to the containers. You can drop the containers with doors facing each other with man door in the middle, and fence off the area so can’t walk in off the street or gate if you park trailers in the “side alley”
Paint the retaining wall in the back, have some artists come in and do car related murals and branding for you. It'll also be good to protect the concrete.
The pad on the right nearest to the building would be a good spot to build a small shed style storage area, would also aid in blocking any trash that potentially makes it to the bay doors.
I’d say paint the wall black and add some lights. And maybe some turf above the wall so it stays nice or have a landscaping crew come in and plant some stuff which would be nice for privacy.

Seeing all the comments about the wall, unfortunately you can’t do anything with it as it doesn’t have a proper water proof membrane behind the back so water will still flow through and go back to square one. A option you do have is cladding the wall, 2x2 pressure treated battens screwed directly into the wall, a damp proof membrane covering them and then feathered edge style boards nailed onto the battens. I can send photos over of what i mean but it would require no maintenance and really cheap to do. All the best with the shop
you should paint the back wall white, and add some big typography on top of it. Also adding some nice LED warm light strips would give it a cool vibe for evening shots
I would definitely paint and do a mural on that wall to clean it all up. It would make for a cool background back there too. The lift there for a car wash area is a great idea
Suggestions would be painting the walls (maybe white) after pressure washing and putting some high fencing all around there to prevent this to happen again. Could be a little "claustrophobic" but I suppose safer and clearer for your space
I love the idea of graffiti artist doing some work on the wall. Just make sure the wall is sealed so that it doesn’t leak from behind through but a great idea. Also think about putting some sod on the top of the wall where the plants are to help keep erosion away, and just to look really nice and clean. Finally, if there is a way to put a fence up high around, so people can’t throw stuff in anymore that would be ideal. Love the space so excited to see what you all do there !
A privacy fence lined with the back wall to keep people out would be great looks like some tagging on the walls so it’s pretty easy to get onto the property from behind

paint the cinderblock wall with a nice exterior easy clean finish, will help for years to come, level the side of the building for storage on upcoming projects and paint some Logos around!!
That back corner with the raised patio style platform would be a really good use of space for parts washing, outside easy to clean and spray the grease away. Maybe even a cage with a sandblast cabinet with the compressor and media ran from inside the door.
I would paint the retaining wall all black, and maybe plant some rose bushes or cherry blossom trees above the wall and that could be like a little picture spot for cars or whatever else. I’d also look into other ways of getting the ground cleaned better by using pressure washer surface cleaner tool/ attachment on a heated pressure washer that has a high psi (at least 2800) along with some industrial strength degreaser and really let it sit and soak. I would also recommend getting some really nice outside lights so that the back lot is very well lit when dark.
put some stairs up the retaining wall and make a deck/chill area and put a tall fence down the property line and stop it at the front of the shop and be a huge grill and chill area

A option you do have is cladding the wall, 2x2 pressure treated battens screwed directly into the wall, a damp proof membrane covering them and then feathered edge style boards nailed onto the battens.
I can send photos over of what i mean but it would require no maintenance and really cheap to do.

you should paint the back wall white, and add some big typography on top of it. Also adding some nice LED warm light strips would give it a cool vibe for evening shots
I would definitely paint and do a mural on that wall to clean it all up. It would make for a cool background back there too. The lift there for a car wash area is a great idea
You guys should definitely paint the exterior brick retaining walls in the back black with some tag art or the iconic TJ hunt keep moving forward
build the wall up and put a roof over it for extra parking and make it more secure then have a sick painting on the wall to give it a vibe ❤
Yeah most definitely , that looks so much better. I would definitely paint a mural on the back wall.
Suggestions would be painting the walls (maybe white) after pressure washing and putting some high fencing all around there to prevent this to happen again. Could be a little "claustrophobic" but I suppose safer and clearer for your space
I love the idea of graffiti artist doing some work on the wall. Just make sure the wall is sealed so that it doesn’t leak from behind through but a great idea.
Also think about putting some sod on the top of the wall where the plants are to help keep erosion away, and just to look really nice and clean.
Finally, if there is a way to put a fence up high around, so people can’t throw stuff in anymore that would be ideal.

A privacy fence lined with the back wall to keep people out would be great looks like some tagging on the walls so it’s pretty easy to get onto the property from behind

Thank you, dillon for making that point with the rebars. I really don't know where England engineers got their knowledge on casting concrete without bars, especially for a foundation. Even if inflation is high on material cost, I'm not doing that!...😂
paint the cinderblock wall with a nice exterior easy clean finish, will help for years to come, level the side of the building for storage on upcoming projects and paint some Logos around!!

That back corner with the raised patio style platform would be a really good use of space for parts washing, outside easy to clean and spray the grease away.
Maybe even a cage with a sandblast cabinet with the compressor and media ran from inside the door.
Need to add a row of new block at the top to prevent erosion. Then paint the wall grey.
I would paint the retaining wall all black, and maybe plant some rose bushes or cherry blossom trees above the wall and that could be like a little picture spot for cars or whatever else. I’d also look into other ways of getting the ground cleaned better by using pressure washer surface cleaner tool/ attachment on a heated pressure washer that has a high psi (at least 2800) along with some industrial strength degreaser and really let it sit and soak. I would also recommend getting some really nice outside lights so that the back lot is very well lit when dark.

put some stairs up the retaining wall and make a deck/chill area and put a tall fence down the property line and stop it at the front of the shop and be a huge grill and chill area

A few things. There is a floor preasure washer attachments that will make you life alot easier. Also I love seeing videos like this, makes you seem more normal. Keep killing it
