Hi silent viewer here☺️I just wanted to pop in and say I love your lifestyle and personality! I get super delighted when I see you in my subscription box. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge on sustainability and a little bit of your life with us. I hope you kick ass this quarter! Also if you were to be on jeopardy I would so tune in on that!
as a fellow silent viewer of things, thank you so much for taking the time to comment :) the fact that you watch is already more than enough and it means a lot that you took the time to comment! hopefully i'll see you around the comments section more! but also no pressure! your comment low key made my evening 💕

Your videos always give me time for self care. I watch your vids, either new or old ones and just sit down, drink tea or water. It's like im doing my self-care habits with you. Plus! Because of you, I've started my journey towards zero-waste and sustainability. I know it's hard esp. Here in the Philippines with minimal choices and resources for that kind of lifestyle, but im not giving up. Thanks for inspiring me! Happy new year, Michelle! 💖

Hi! I read from somewhere that the scourer we use normally at kitchen leaves micro plastic cuando we wash our dishes and those micro plastics flow to the ocean and finally somehow go back to us eventually. I started to use sponge of Luffa since then as I remembered my mom always use that in the kitchen and it was quite popular in China.
i hope this video motivates you to be environmentally conscious too! :) i'm also really happy that i'm out of my creative rut. thank you for sticking around :) happy new year, nathalie!
riprip. I lost a really long comment and am too lazy to retype, but just wanted to mention that super super grateful you talked about contacts and astigmatism. So relatable and helpful.
Instead of using those bags, I super recommend getting just a container (I like one with a lid - mine's a .50c one from Target) and putting that in the freezer, then going to dump it when it's full. You could line it with compostable parchment paper or something, too, so it's easier to just dump out the compost. :)
Hi Miss Choi I love the way you film your meal prep!! Inspires me to cook my own food. Also totally random but what sign are you? And as a STEM student do you believe in astrology??
I really love your videos, I've been following for quiet a long time now :) Do you ever consider talking more about the books you read? I am a huge bookworm and I'd love to hear your thoughts! :)
i read primarily 19th-20th century fiction, which is really not a lot of people's cup of tea (bc it's pretty "boring"). my favorite books are sister carrie, catch 22, the sun also rises, and the kitchen god's wife! if it's a book that's read for academic purposes in instructional settings, there's a good chance that it's my kind of book lol
Love the video and all the tips you gave! I would encourage you to research about the effect of animal agriculture on our planet. One of the most sustainable tips would be to remove animal products from our diet. I'm not fully there myself, and I'm in no way pushing anything on you! Small steps at a time🙌🏼

hi michelle, i’ve noticed something in your editing for a while now, so i thought i’d mention it - all the channels i watch that vlog usually do not use background music when they talk on camera, and i find it really distracting that you leave it on the whole time. that being said, maybe i’m just too sensitive and get sensory overload too easily... but i still think the parts when you talk would be much relaxing without “noise” in the background. it’s also actually hard to hear what you’re saying when you speak quietly. okay, now i’m done, love your videos and, at the end of the day, you do you ☺️
Thanks for your feedback! Will implement it in the next video :) Thanks for watching and being a part of this community and offering constructive criticism!

With the most respect, no judgement and no " forcefulness" Veganism is a great way to become more sustainable and environmentally friendly. I can tell that this is very important to you so i did find it strange that you consume meat. No hate though i think you're already doing an amazing job.
I know that for me, veganism is not a change that I can make permanently (trust me - I've tried). However, I only eat meat like Once or twice a week and source from small, family farmers that are ethical. :) But I totally understand your concern and it's a valid one. I think that there's more to just sustainability than the environment - there's economic sustainability too and if we were to all suddenly go vegan overnight, the impact that would have on farmers, factory workers, and meat-centered businesses would be devastating. I want to promote (1) health and (2) do more research before promoting any sort of diet or lifestyle change. There's also this paper that showed that the difference between a vegan diet and an ovo-lacto-vegetarian diet is negligible: www.nature.com/articles/s41598-017-06466-8 Published: 21 July 2017 Environmental impact of omnivorous, ovo-lacto-vegetarian, and vegan diet Alice Rosi, Pedro Mena, Nicoletta Pellegrini, Silvia Turroni, Erasmo Neviani, Ilario Ferrocino, Raffaella Di Cagno, Luca Ruini, Roberto Ciati, Donato Angelino, Jane Maddock, Marco Gobbetti, Furio Brighenti, Daniele Del Rio & Francesca Scazzina Scientific Reports volume 7, Article number: 6105 (2017) Abstract Food and beverage consumption has a great impact on the environment, although there is a lack of information concerning the whole diet. Food intake was monitored with a 7-d dietary record to calculate nutritional values and environmental impacts (carbon, water, and ecological footprints). The Italian Mediterranean Index was used to evaluate the nutritional quality of each diet. The omnivorous choice generated worse carbon, water and ecological footprints than other diets. No differences were found for the environmental impacts of ovo-lacto-vegetarians and vegans, which also had diets more adherent to the Mediterranean pattern. A high inter-individual variability was observed through principal component analysis, showing that some vegetarians and vegans have higher environmental impacts than those of some omnivores. Thus, regardless of the environmental benefits of plant-based diets, there is a need for thinking in terms of individual dietary habits. To our knowledge, this is the first time environmental impacts of three dietary regimens are evaluated using individual recorded dietary intakes rather than hypothetical diet or diets averaged over a population.
