At 0:40 a reference to a Lago Talbot. That's what they are called in Australia. But I learnt a month or two back on a history of defunct Australian racetracks, that Australia is the only place not calling it the correct Talbot Lago. A search on the tube will show them all being referenced as Talbot Lago, even the Grand Prix cars. I am curious what is molded on the bottom of the Cartix version. My first car I remember owning was labelled Lago Talbot but that was a made in Australia die cast competitor to Dinky Toys being from the long gone Micro Model range. A later one was an FJ Holden Yellow Cab taxi another I think was a 48-215 or civilian FJ. A mystery why Australia went with the different order. Some great racing last night with you at Bonza Raceway.
It is worth noting that if you replace a cracked pinion in a Cartrix car, you replace them with the nylon Scalextric ones as these mesh better with the nylon crown gear, brass pinions tend to damage the crown gear especially if you dont get a good mesh.
Great bunch of cars Hubby and great track cheers for sharing
Love the colors of the cars !
Superb collection there. Lots of history. Loved seeing the cars do a few laps. And thanks for the shout out. Another cool Hub video. 😎👍🏁
